Tides

Broken app. Crashes on launch half the time, and no matter how long I wait, it doesn't download any tide data. I get the sun/moon info and the map, but not the very thing I purchased the app for. And since I didn't use the app immediately after downloading it, I can't even get a refund. If you buy this app, make sure to test it right away. UPDATE: I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Still no tide data.

Excellent app that gives you what you need and no more, without clutter and ads. You can choose not to display the moon and sun information, to make the tide data even clearer. The app will calculate tides for any date in the future, unlike many tide apps which only give tide times 7 days in advance (which are already widely available on the web). The developer is quick to respond positively to any feedback.

Just installed version 4 today. Delighted. I live on Isle of Wight where tides are very complex and have found over the years that UKHO predictions are the most accurate for the Island. So I wanted an App that showed those predictions, in both table and curve format ... and version 4 of this App does just that. The App is also easy to understand and use. Highly recommend.

Lost my previous tide app last week. Developer disappeared in 2013 now the app has given up. This is so close to my other one and it has exactly what I want. Everything I need at glance on the chart in front of me with no need to keep clicking. 5 stars no problem. Would like to see a few more places covered in each area ( well, my area specifically - Essex! ) but I'm just so grateful David Easton has designed this app apparently for me!! Just so easy to see what I need at a glance.

Fantastic app. As a cruiser traveling by sailboat, having access to tidal data from around the world, and offline, is critical. Some thoughts from other apps: Is it possible to include current (as in the velocity of the water) data as well? And is it possible to show the high and low tide heights for a week or so (say illustrated as a bar graph, pairing a low tide height with the subsequent tide height) to compare tides for a week or so.

Used this on my good phone, great and useful app, can clearly see from the chart what the water levels are to access my drying mooring. Had difficulty installing on my steam-powered spare phone, but app developer suggested I re-install and that worked.

My 2022 updated review, even more features, improved graphics and smoother running; this app just keeps getting better and better :) .........Here's my 2020 edited review; this app is excellent, 5 stars! The September 2020 update which caused it to lock up just after the splash screen, worked after an uninstall, reboot and reinstall; so all is good. Very quick response by the developer, which again earns 5 stars.

This app gives times and heights like all the others but ALSO CURRENT HEIGHT OF TIDE which is so useful. Yon can also go straight to hundreds of places including secondary ports all over the world. There's no adverts or stuff that doesn't work. And it works offline. Love it!

Nearly there... Like another reviewer my regular tide app has disappeared, which is a rotten shame as I'd been using it for years. Things I'd like to see please: 1) a favourites button 2) the ability to delete from the "recent" selection. Also email link button from help screen does not appear to work.

I love this App. Clear and simple without clutter and worth every cent to have no advertisements. It uses your phone's GPS so mobile coverage is not necessary. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it would be helpful to have an option to see a whole month ahead in one view.

Easy, intuitive to use yet still has all the details you need. Especially useful that high and low tides are listed as precise times (in addition to a graph), rather than only shown more vaguely on a graph, as other apps do.

Have been using "Tide Predictor" until today it just stopped! This also shows tides graphically so a good substitute. Graphics a bit smaller and not as clear but usable.

The best tide app available. Does what it says on the tin. No useless add ons no adverts, easy to use with all the info you need for all the ports. Highly recommended

Works great in Ireland, looks great with the dark theme AND unlike other tide table apps, it has a nice graph, not just a table full of numbers. Very happy with the purchase.

Purchased app to provide tide data primarily when abroad as my current app is UK only. Having run this alongside my other UK app and used it in Northern France I can recommend its purchase without hesitation.

Looked at number of free app's, none worth having. Decided on "Tides". Very low price. All that I wanted. Would recommend. Sent email question to David Easton, he replied in few hours. A.J.

Excellent app. I have used many different tide apps since operating a sailing club rescue boat, but this app is up to date accurate and seems reliable for my specific use. Thanks!

Love this app. Very clear and straightforward and easy to use. My last tidal app failed and was no longer supported. This is a really good replacement. Very pleased.

I live this App.. it even shows the shape of the tides in places like the Solent where you get double tides.. Also shows the current staten of tide in graph and numerical form.. if I could give 6 stars I DEFFINATELY would.. Highly recommended

Really good app, however the current tide height (now) which should be a great feature does not work on the rule of twelfths so does not give an accurate reading.

Excellent app, clear and uncluttered information. Most importantly - tidal information is available into the future unlike the free apps that give only 7 days. This alone makes it worth paying for.

Great tide app. Very useful and easy to use. Great that you can see tides for future rather than just a few day. Well worth buying and much better than all the Free apps out there. Good support from Developer as I had an issue with my phone. Thank you

Really good. There's a HUGE number of UK tide stations. Now if only I could scroll down the "nearest" list I'd have to give five and a half. Update: Blimey, the developer has just granted my wish. Brilliant!

Brilliant. It's got it all. Even better than the now-defunct Aperto TidesUK app I used for many years, much better than anything free. If you can't afford £1.59 for this app, you can't afford to go to fishing.

Great app, simple to use, clear to read. Developer was really quick to reply and helpful when I had a problem which was easily resolved.
