App itself is okay, not a ton of features, map updates a bit slowly when the phone wakes up from sleep, but overall 100% serviceable even if it could use a GPS feature. The service itself is great, good availability even at night, I don't mind paying a bit more than a tramway ticket (like 50 cts more, no big deal) if it means I can get home faster (or later into the night). Love it, would recommend.

Since the update of their parking policy, it prevents you from ending your trip unless you're in a parking spot, and that would be fine if the app correctly detected parking spot. Except it doesn't, and it results in annoying calls to customer support. Please allow users to declare that the app is wrong in the app. We know better.

I think this app does not comply with GDPR because you cannot remove your account. Furthermore, when you remove the app and all its storage and cache from your phone and reinstall it again, your name comes up automatically which implies that your name and phone number is kept in the database forever. If you don't add a possibility of deletion of all data, I think it will have to be reported to the authorities. Additionally you cannot change your name in the app after installation.

It makes no sense that you keep charging 1 minutes's fee even when I barely pass minute barriers. Like 10mins1sec (11 is charged), 15mins2secs (16 is charged), it is irritating. There should be a minute counter for the total usage, and you should charge based on that. I don't care about the money, but I just hate the way that you approach. I know it is part of your monetization strategy, but is there really need for dark patterns?

Reinstalled the app and to recover my account I had to enter my phone number. This worked for me. But in general it is is a very ill advised design choice to tie accounts to phone numbers as they are often the least persistent identifier a person has and are redistributed by phone companies to new customers after just 6 months. That random person could have gotten my ride history, credit card number, e-mail address and name and booked rides at my cost.

The app is bad. Just straight up, no other way around it. When verifying emails it sends you an email in the app, it then gives you the option to "Open Email App" or "Verify Later", when opening the Email app, it of course opens the wrong app. Who does that? That's so stupid. But then I verified my Email from PC and then.. of course I had to restart the app to get it to recognize, stupid design again. But the worst part is, getting the app to use my Paypal as payment; it just DOESN'T work. I go to Paypal and everything works and Log-in and Accept and the Paypal window just closes and.. nothing, the app just doesn't RECOGNIZE it. I've probably verified my Paypal over 5 times now and frankly I'm not bothered anymore. Absolutely embarrassing app design and functionality for such a wide-spread use case.

We accidentally ended the trip by pressing the wrong button in the app, outside of the parking zone. Cost us 100 dkk, and there's no way to begin the trip anew, on the same bike, outside a parking zone, so we were stuck! We called customer support, and even after we asked for help, and they said they could unlock the bike remotely, they didn't, and left us waiting for nothing for ten minutes. We had to walk home instead. The bike was cool when riding though. Disappointed 😞

It might be good. They even offered me a free ride. However, I cannot try it because the app doesn't accept a card from Google Pay, not will it scan the "new" style if credit cards with the number on the back.

New: Almost no bonus free minutes now and half of the time I park in a bonus area (which means, going out of your way) the gps of the scooter thinks it is far away enough to not work. Quite annoying Old: It works well, and the ways of obtaining free minutes are clever and very welcome. Also, you can ring the scooter to help finding it, and now also book them for a shot time. Good additions.

As a very new user, it may be just me but as the scooters need to be parked in deaignated areas when finished, the map doesnt clearly show where these areas actually are. Or at least, not that i can see. So when i use a scooter i have to go to the neareat shown scooter icon as i will be able to park here, which may or may not be the closest place to my destination.

Sends me into a loop when I try to add payment options, does not keep me logged in and it's generally unusable, with no way to reach support unless it's an emergency. They are the only scooters near my university and I'll really rather take the bus instead of putting up with this app.

Enjoyed decently, bikes aren't maybe as common as some competitors, but are always in great state with plenty of battery, till I once in a rush parked it outside of business zone, without a warning for first "offence" instantly got charged 25 euros and now I'm deinstalling it. I'm not saying there isn't any warning cause in rush I just tapped through all the messages assuming it's the usual, but that kind of behaviour should have been anticipated Also, navigation in all could be better

If the app worked properly, this would be a quick, easy & enjoyable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our ride but it took us the time again to end the route, so the cost was double of what it should've been.

Horrible experience and non functioning app. Unintuitive (I get an app for a personal e-moped and its not very clear to find the rental part of the app. CC verification issues. Unlocking issues. Parking issues (can't find where I can park in the app. Bike malfunctioned halfway through the ride and had to leave it. German customer service number(?!). Do not recommend. Lost half my evening dealing with something that is supposed to be straightforward and easy as many other providers are offering.

You have to scan in your driving licence and when I scan mine it says its not recognised properly and I'm not over 18 ! I'm 32 today ! It's a bran new licence I've recently moved address and the UK driving licence have changed this year so presuming that's why it wouldn't register so everyone I was with could get a electric scooter and I couldn't on my birthday trip to York

I never usually review apps, but this is just a scam. I registered using my mobile and email wanting to rent a scooter. I try to ID verify but the app deliberately lowers the quality of the camera to an absolute minimum, so bad the text on my driving licence is just pixels. They have sent me advertising material for an app I can't use. I'm so frustrated this is the case, as this app genuinely seems like a good idea, but the developers can't even work out how to set camera resolution.. terrible.

Could be better. After trying a few rides, I believe it's not worth using. Speed at 12mph, I go faster by cycling or walking. Left strained in a random road with no help and had to carry the escooter by hands. Ridiculous pricing. Map is terrible and goes off while riding. Really bad experience and no customer service. Avoid!

Can not add payment method. App gets stuck after making it background and I have to make it background to confirm adding a payment method from my banking app. There is no one to contact or desktop page to use as an alternative. Thanks for the great app now I will be only using Voi.

I've been using and enjoying Tier scooters for a while now... But never imagined I would get trapped in a big city. I made a stop, left my scooter with a few others, and had planned to one again soon after. I have ever unlimited unlock pass so it shouldn't have been a problem. I went to pick a scooter, they were all locked! Worse, all the scooters I ended up finding in a 1km radius were all "unavailable"!!! I had to rely on another brand, which was not reliable either. I might be done with them

The license verification process doesn't work at all on the pixel 6. The camera goes grainy and useless, and doesn't focus on the text. The app scans my payment card properly on my pixel, it's just the license process that's problematic. Edit: Finally got through the license verification process using my partner's old work phone! Will revise my star rating after I've ridden a few times, but the software issue needs fixing for those without access to spare phones.

I tried to use this app in Paris recently. I started my ride and was surprised to find that neither of the the two scooters I was standing next to were unlocked. So I checked the app and the scooter that had been activated was a 6 minute walk away! I tried to pause the ride but was told that the ride couldn't be paused because the scooter wasn't in a valid parking spot! Eventually I found the scooter and ended the "ride", costing me money for nothing. I'll never use this app again.

Terrible app. It charged my card several times. First, I paid the amount of my ride but after that the app chrged me second time and then third time. Fees that it took were higher than my ride fee and they are not reported in the invoice!

Unclear instructions on how to operate the app and how the process of renting a bike goes. Also the parking areas are super hard to find, only when you zoom in all the way you see them. I don't want to search for a 'parking' area. I want, always, to know where all the parking areas are in my neighbourhood. So; if True: show_all_parking_areas(). On the ebike itself I miss some mile left/accu indicator

One my first bike hire I ended up being overcharged by €4 because the app had me running back and forth between 3 docking points for 25 minutes without allowing me to end my trip, at 15c per minute. At each one the app indicated that the area was full and there was one spot available at the others, even when the bike parking was empty or had no Tier bikes around. They do not answer their phones after office hours and I could find no valid way to complain and dispute the inflated charge.

Tried your service today in Berlin for the first time. Bicycle kept stopping as if I've ended the trip. I started a new trip twice. Third time I just gave up and took Voi. Now I see that all of my data is gone from the app. It's asking me to sign up all over again. Was there an update today or something?

Paying is absolutely impossible because the interface to type the credit card details refuses to show the button "Continue" and the text inputs stay grayed. Also, removing a credit card is impossible so Tier, you steal the property of our bank details, basically.

Licence verification doesn't work, and tech support keep giving me the same useless advice even though I explain their solution hasn't worked the the previous ten times. How lazy and cynical do you have to be to suggest failed advice an 11th time? I wish they would escalate the complaint. The licence verification part of the the app is broken and makes incredibly low resolution photos that never get confirmed. Could an actual dev look into this known problem?
