Used to love tiki live... Now it's a headache to watch. AT LEAST every 2 min it will freeze (on my phone no matter wifi or data, and on my Hisense TV, hardwired or WiFi) sometimes it will freeze and just load until I either swap channels or restart my TV/phone. Getting really upsetting especially when I have 3 kiddos watching their favorite show during the week. Even if I record a movie I still get the freeze and loading issues!! Honestly disappointed but it's the only reasonable deal around my area that offers Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. If y'all could figure out the pestering load issues it'd be great and I'd definitely give 5 stars and an updated comment.
I live in a rural area. Cable is out of my price range. I have tried hulu, playstation vue, and sling. Tiki is far better than all of the others. The sales staff is excellent and when I have a customer service question it was fixed immediately. Thanks to tikilive for their great service and I highly recommend them.
I received an awesome tv for Christmas, and this is one of the apps developed for watching the major networks. It has a good chunk, but not everything you may want to watch on those networks. Also, instead of AMC, which is an essential for me, I am paying $30 for over a 1/3 of these channels to be Christian sermons and Christian appropriate television. No way. I am actually upset that my remote has a button for this app. Tried to download the app I already use,but its not even an option for me.
The price currently is 10 dollars less than directvnow's live a little, with more channels (some might be fluff). It has all the essential channels in my opinion, minus AMC and BBC. The Cinema Package also works out to cost less than directvnow with cinemax, showtime, and hbo. Plus you get Sony and Magnolia selects. It's just missing Starz. The on demand selection needs a ton of work but if you have the cinema package you get Sony and Magnolia Selects on demand, which is good. There is also DVR to make up for it. There are a lot of Christian channels. I'm considering between this and Vista Tv. However because the price of my spectrum package will rise later, I might wait and see if these services are still here to try.
I tried this on our smart tv. It's not that good. I was really thinking of subscribing for the premium services because I watch lifetv asia everyday. But on the app, there is no search function, which is oddly the only way to access lifetv asia on tikilive because it doesn't show up on the tv guide somehow. If you can fix this for smart tv use, or you know, actually put lifetv on the guide I might buy premium. Coz our whole.family uses this
Well it took a while to figure out how to login & reset the password but i finally got it. Pretty frustrating!! Something that should have been simple, wasn't
I been a subscriber for almost a year and it has been good but with the discovery channel and travel channel and others missing im not sure its worth it..
i can't watch anything without freezing every 5 minutes or so... tried on my Roku and on my smart tv (Hisense) and still the same problem keeps freezing...
constantly skips back....turn an 30 min show into 45 minutes... watching live sports constantly Freeze's up....after college football season...i will not be renewing... count your days
need to make it where you dont need a primary source to watch it on your phone or computer. that is something else to buy just to be able to watch on your phone. do you have to be in range of your primary source to watch on your phone or can you watch it anywhere you go that has internet service. If you can watch it anywhere, what's the point of the primary source to begin with. I purchased thinking thru the app, you could start watching, but found out you need a primary source on your account.
NY Channel not allowed in my region for the premier package I took it is really not allowing me to keep my subscription for the next month.
$9.99 a month?? No thanks, I'm staying with Pluto TV!
i love this tv cable its awesome can take everywhere.
Trash with lots of ads
U take away a lot of channels that are New York channels that aren't allowed in our region....but I live an hour in Canada from buffalo all these channels I can and have got them over the air....DTV... but there band it's a load I rubbish......29.99 turns to 39.99 dollar shopping over the boarder then tax 41.00 not worth the money in my opinion......Well guess what throws channels you block out of this religion we can get in Toronto...over the air ......wned.....cw....abc...NBC...fox...CBS.......
MAVTV!!! I'm excited I get to watch the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship now, Thank you.
Channels not allow in my region
Awesome wish you was on my roku?
This is amazing? Where have you been all my life? Lol😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have not used it yet.
i wish amc was on here
Nice service, just subscribed to the first level premium service. Just wish the guide could be setup to display only the subscribed channels and be customized for favorite channels. It also needs the option to record the remainder of the current channel being watched and to record on a schedule for weekly or daily reoccurring broadcasts. If it had these options, I'd give it 5 stars.
I disconect Spectrum cable tv because they charge me $79.99 /month just for tv + 59.99 for internet. Now since i disconect cable tv but still have just internet i decide to search apps on my 4k HISENCE TV I find TIKILIVE 1st time ever and i try. O have all chanels as with Spectrum exept lokal chanels thats like 6 chanels less than specyrum but TIKILIVE is only $29.95 so thank you TIKILIVE for what you ofer. I love tbe cristal clear picture HD good speed and yes i will upgrade to premium chanels
This is truly the cable alternative. I don't have to have local channels, so now that Tiki have added HBO, CINEMAX, and SHOWTIME, DVR was the one thing I was hoping they would add. And now they have added DVR now too. And the DVR works great. At $158 a month, I was paying 3 times what I'm paying now with Tiki. There is no lag time between channels. I would strongly suggest getting a really good router if you don't have the fastest internet speed. Over the holidays the new router allowed me to connect 12 devices to my Wi-Fi, (No Ethernet connection) and there was no buffering or freezing. I still don't understand how this is not in at least 10 to 20k homes at this stage. Fingers crossed that the addition of the likes of Fox Sports, FS1, NFL and NBA Networks will follow in the coming months. You guys have done a fantastic job so far!!
So far I've really enjoyed using it through my Sharp TV and Android. The quality is good, interface designed well, but the only drawback that I've noticed is that the guide interface lags a bit. The only issue I've had is lack of DVR. Your manual shows this, but I cannot access it. How does it work?
I love tiki live. I don't get any abc, CBS, or nbc affiliated channels since I live in a rural area. I now get abc, nbc, CBS, fox and cw out of new York and I live in West Central Illinois. LI have PlayStation Vue but they don't have cmt, mtv or any networks. With both PlayStation Vue and tiki I get all my channels and still pay less than what I paid with Mediacom. Love you love you guys. I wish you guys could add Disney junior to your lineup.
it cuts out all the time! I really wanted it to work because I like the lineup and the price but it's unwatchable especially during games!! so I'm going to have to cancel. it's too annoying to have a black screen every 2 minutes. reply: my setup is fine! I've had Hulu, PS vue, direct TV now, they all worked fine. it happens at home with Wi-Fi and on my phone with 4g.
