Since they did fix the bugs and stuff my tiles have been working better. They still sometimes mess up. When I press one of the tiles to find my phone it won't go off. I do have the Bluetooth on and when I do find my phone no thanks to the tile. I press the tile right next to it is still won't chime. I wait 15 minutes test it again and it's ringing my phone. So the tiles have worked more times then not. So I'm calling it a win.
I think it's worth the money. I first bought a cheap £5 I found on Amazon. It was frustrating as it kept losing connection and I had to keep removing and adding it. This one pairs and stays paired with my phone. I just used it today to make sure I had my keys with me. It took about 10 seconds to find my tile, but it rang soon after. It's quite loud and I like that I have a range of tones to choose from. The app is straight forward and easy to use.
It is amazing when it works! If you're out of bluetooth range it won't ping unless you pay a monthly fee. Make it a one time fee and I'd buy it! I refuse to engage in this micro pay nonsense. it does occasionally fail even in bluetooth range, but 95% of the time it works really well.
Surprisingly easy to set up. Super great signal. Finally, an app that does what it says. Kudos to tile, for as a man who would forget his memory ( if heknew where to find it to begin with ) I now have one less worry to plague me: I can rest easy, knowing that I am but the click of a button away from locating my essentials!! No brainer; five stars across the board.
The finding works two ways! If you know where a Tile is, you can use it to find your phone. I had been on the fence about buying in, but on the day I found that out, I had an order placed within minutes. The alerts could still use some improvement - being day/time based, rather than location-based. But that feature was added after I had already bought in and was happy.
I have 7 tile mate. They used to work great. I have just replaced batteries in 4. One is not connecting at all in the app and the other 3 are being unreliable and seem to be constantly disconnecting and reconnecting (being right next to the phone) or constantly looping connecting and requiring the phone to be rebooted to connect to them again. Other Bluetooth devices on this phone work fine, so I am guessing they have made changes to the android app causing the issues.
The tile app itself works fine but the Bluetooth in the tile itself doesn't work the best. It takes a long time to connect (30 seconds - 5 minutes) and you have to be really close to it (probably 10-15 feet if it's not going through a wall). Overall it does what I need it to do and I would recommend it.
At works pretty well but it's just half advertisement for their subscription plan and more tiles though. All kinds of pop-ups in redirects asking if you want to upgrade. I was a bit disappointed because I bought the tiles themselves at an actual store and they didn't come with the free one-year subscription like was offered online. Guess I should have gone with the online ones.
Honestly, just one of the most useful apps/products in this day-and-age when we're all tied to our phones. You can use it to find keys & wallet (or other valuables) with your phone, or vice versa. I have mine tied to my FitBit now, so when I inevitably misplace it while charging, I'll be able to find it again. Tile has been a lifesaver already, and I suspect it will be again at some point, probably sooner rather than later! :D
Hi, so I have been a tile holder since 2019. As i get busy, like we all tend to do, and i misplace my phone or keys at least 2x a week! My daughter noticed this, and ordered me This tile, it sure keeps my important items located. (I would be at a loss with out it! It has saved me a lot of stressin out) In my opinion, It is just awesome, i do recomend it, and i just love it!! One of the greatest invention's ever made! Thx a lot!
Great finder. My wallet dropped from my pocket on the way home. The App told me where it went out of range on a map (ie where I lost it). I went there and the App picked up its signal and showed me which house it was in. I was able to collect it before they had figured out how to contact me. And it has found them again! This time, in St Kilda. Tile has paid for itself.
Eats Phone Battery, No customer service help! This app eats more battery than all other apps combined. CS says it's because it's always linked, but, my total Bluetooth usage is 2% of my battery, that's speakers, earbuds, car, etc combined, this app, which is part of that, uses an additional 16% of my battery every 24hours and I use it maybe once a month and Tile has no explanation. This is new, I've had a Tile for years. Not sure what's going on, neither are they, but it's no longer usable.
I am happy with the purchase. Is not free. There is a subscription you have to pay with 1 month free trials. I wonder if is possible as someone else can add my tile to his account or to use it!? Just a new report after using it one month. It did happen to lose my keys with tile attached, inside the house. Unfortunately I was not able to find them. The app was just telling me they are around. No bip or any other noise like I test it first time. I was in a hurry and I had to lose a viewing.
Would work great if you didn't have to update it all the time. I have plenty of space on my phone for the update and it still won't update. I'm on WiFi and it still won't update. It won't let me use the app without the update. Update just says "pending" for hours sometimes days. Everytime there's an update this happens and this is the only app it happens for. Edit: followed advice and it worked! Thank you.
I love using my tile! I have adhd so once I put something down (phones, keys, earbud case) it just magically disappears. I originally bought a tile for my keys and after losing my earbuds and having to replace then I slapped a tile sticker on it as well. The only thing I dont like is the tile sticker size, I assumed it was an actual sticker not what I received which was on me but otherwise great products and the tiles are cute. The app itself is fine no issues with that.
DO NOT BUY TILE GPS TRACKERS! You already own a physical product, but they want you to pay for a monthly subscription just so you can use basic features. The fact that everything needs to be a subscription nowadays is insane. If I knew this before hand, I would've never bought their product in the first place, but that's how they get you!
This was fine for a long while and I was actually going to buy a few more tiles for other things. BUT it recently began to turn off my phone's bluetooth, which screws up my smartwatch and blood pressure cuff. I have manually shut down the app, which helps temporarily, but overnight it starts itself up again. Now I'm faced with a choice of either abandoning my tiles and uninstalling or remembering to force a stop every morning. Please fix this!
I'm very happy with the Tile, the app, etc. I do highly recommend the developers add notifications for updates. I experienced on 04/26/2022 the inability to find my phone with the double tap because Tile had to be updated. I finally found my phone and updated Tile. Then, I could use the app as intended originally. This could easily be accomplished with a notification from Tile for updates. Thank you.
Thanks for the in-app button per individual tile, it really helps.. on another note.. could you do a silent proximity sensor to show when you are within say a meter of it and then have the option to sound the audible tone (for help in situations where an item has been stolen thus preventing chances of tile being removed if it is sounding but not in range of my vision - so as to say there it is or that belongs to me)
Its come in handy a few times but other times it just doesn't work. Also constant support is great but opening up the app because I need to find my keys and being forced to do yet another update before it will work while I'm in terrible reception is not ideal. Great idea, if there was a more functional app and key finder I would be all over it.
Crashes every few minutes since the latest app update. Using it on a Samsung A52. Edit: Crashing problem has been fixed. When it works it is great. Frequently though it can't find a device that's 5 feet away. Sometimes it's the phones automated settings sometimes who knows. The app itself is easy to use but finding all the hard-to-find settings in the phone can be a pain.
