The people at time clock wizard have been fantastic to work with, extremely helpful & patient. App is extremely easy to use - processing payroll takes a fraction of the time as we were using paper time sheets. There is a definite learning curve like with anything new but it seems like they are always trying to find ways to improve & they appreciate customer input.
I rarely review a product, but I have to say that time clock wizard is incredible. I currently am a sole proprieter doing consulting and needing to send bills with Quickbooks. I was often forgetting or trying to piece together where i was and when. This program is always there in your back pocket, and the integration with Quickbooks is perfect. When I grow to have more consultants working for me, I will pay for the product happily.
The only reason I have this app is because the delivery service I work with uses it but, if you can, avoid this app if possible. Super screwy, changes on people constantly, no break button so you litterally have to log out to take a 30 and then the app resets your time and screws up your hours. (Seriously, just add a button to take a lunch break, use it as a pause button for the clock, it can't be that @!#*% complicated)
Took a little bit of time to dig through how it is all parsed together. However the functionality is great with a no frills UI that makes this app all about efficiency, albeit with some flaws of it's own (but in the same vein as the flaws you come to grow fond of in your first car) that could possibly be improved upon. The app itself is representative of it's very purpose to me, and for that I appreciate everything about it.
I love the idea and design of this app. Although! There is a huge problem with the background battery usage which needs to be fixed badly. It causes my phone to charge slowly at times and it will occasionally drain my battery really fast. Please fix, other than that it's a great app.
It usually works to clock in and out, however it's not very stable. Timesheet log and payroll does not load and gives "Network Error" GPS has Google Maps in development mode (apparently it isn't being funded anymore.) I often times will get messages saying something like it couldn't connect, but after hitting OK several times it connects just fine.
After a while using this app I feel like I'm product testing. There are so many bugs and issues and if you contact customer services they either tell you they'll fix things (they don't) or tell you the thing is already fixed when they haven't done anything. They don't even correct language mistakes (the app is obviously made by people with poor grasp of English). Shocking product and even worse customer service.
Wants to store the photos taken every time on my phone. Wants access to my phone files. Wants to run in the background. So I am having to use my data, storage, and exposing my files to work. I don't think so. This app is an invasion of persons privacy.
TCW is awesome - easy to use and is set up for quick jumping around between tasks with minimal clicking. I also love that I can trust the data because it will not allow you to overlap time entries and things like that
Kathy with TCW is extremely knowledgeable and took an incredible amount of time with me to walk through the issues I had. Not only did she fix some of my set up issues but she had innovation to trouble shoot a feature that is in the development stage.
Can no longer login period. Constantly get server unavailable try again after sometime or server error Before this happened, most of the functions within the app were unavailable due to server connection issues. My employers are looking for an alternative timeclock due to timeclock wizards technical issues with their app
suggestion: d/l and install timesheet. use for a week. re-evaluate. update. i have no choice but to use this app, but i also use the other app b/c it has basic features missing on this app. Update - this app is terrible. Twice this week my time has not been logged. Unacceptable. Everyone else who works here feels the same about this app. Luckily, I used timesheet as a backup. Any users that think about downloading this app, beat yourself over the head with your phone and download timesheet.
I've only tapped into the basics of this app and I'm really enjoying it! It helps me log my time that i put towards my own work. Plus for each shift i can attach photos if what I've completed during that shift. It also lets me leave notes for each shift.
I have no complaints, none, nada, zip. As a "freelancer" I can manage my time record for my clients with ease and clarity, running reports and downloading time clock with very little effort. You guys keep doing what you're doing 'cause it's working.
We had problems with an employee’s phone not syncing. Sarah was very patient as we walked through different troubleshooting steps and we were able to get to the root of the problem! She was amazing! Thanks Sarah!!
Just downloaded. I need an app that I can log employee hours from a timesheet; not an app where they login remotely. Thought this app would work but I have two employees entered, and where it says to select employee the names show up in a drop down list but it won't register what I select. I also want to enter a list of jobs, haven't figured it out yet. Is there a manual anywhere on how to get this app to work?
It doesn't work on my phone. All the other employees use it at this facility and have different phones . This app won't allow me to clock in or out. That's all I need it too do.
App obviously was not put together by anyone who has ever used a timecard or punch in system. Free is not free and paid is still not a true timekeeping system. The timecard function gives you total hours for the last 14 days. We know that time cards go the last 14 days and are not tracked to a pay period, dumb. Free unlimited time keeping is that person only and only that day. If the boss/administrator needs to have a record of that person's time, you have to pay. Software is buggy.
TCW is amazing. I own an IT company with 10 employees and moving over to tsheets is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Fantastic integration with quickbooks allows us to set different rates for regular vs after hours work.
App is very sophisticated. Customer service is also great! They are very helpful for me when I get technical questions. I was helped several time by Sabrina. She is very supportive for us!
Time clock has saved me days of work each month. It's easy to use and downloads to Quickbooks easily. The staff has been great whenever I need their help.
Currently the home screen has no touch response (no matter where I click there is no response and I am unable to clock in). I force stopped the app, checked for updates, etc to no avail.
