the only improvements I would suggest is to enter the bpm value from a dial pad as well. it is only available from the slider and the arrows and it's quite inconvenient. also it would be great if there was an option for 32nds (because of the fact that there is the option for 16nths septuplets and they are so close each other)
By far the best metronome app I've found. The random skipping of beats is an awesome feature too. Thanks! (No idea how hard it'd be to implement, but if there was a feature to share presets with other users of the app, that would be incredibly useful)
Very useful and powerful app! Only gets 4 stars though because it is tedious to modify patterns (i.e to change something at the beginning of a pattern, you have to delete the whole thing and completely reassemble it). Also, while 16 measures seems generous I feel limited by it. Some ideas to consider: -"Clear" button -"Undo" button -Some way to re-order entered measures (tap, hold, & drag?) -Some way to change the number of beats in a measure without deleting (scrub left/right?)
4.99 stars. The only small gripe is me wishing it would also display a little running timer for a quick easy reference. Other than that it's fantastic. Simple. Straight forward. Awesome and easy drop out feature that can be very helpful.
Overly complicated for a metronome. I've been playing music for 45+ years and have had a variety of metronomes. All have been simple and easy to use. Except this ap, which has nothing intuitive about it and offers no basic guidance on how to use it. Complete waste of money. Avoid it.
It does a good job of muting beats as it claims, and it is useful as a simple metronome. If it allowed dotted quarters, dotted haves, and the corresponding rests, it would be useful interpreting rhythms. Seems like an obvious extension. Am I missing something?
Time signatures can be counted numerous ways depending on the feel of the riff. This was one of the few apps that allows me to program in this very thing. Example 7...1234567,or 1231234, or 1212123,or 1231212...I can even save the different count patterns by the name of the song they represent. Hope this helps.
Very useful app that opens up all kind of possible practising ideas. It would be great to have an audible indication at the start of each loop and also to be able to easily move or cycle round the individual rhythmic components.
Ok but... The app has a nice feature set. unfortunately it's not true on my Samsung galaxy S9. I've tried setting power mode to max performance, which helps but there's clearly a lag between each sequence. Hence the poor grade.
I love the simplicity of this app and the fact that you can use multiple time signatures in a queue, but I wish you could change the click rate without changing the time signature. To elaborate, right now the click of the metronome follows the time signature (4/4 time signature = 1/4 note click). It would be nice to have an 1/8 or 1/16 note click with an accent on the 1 of the bar instead of being limited to a click rate which is tied to the time signature.
Amazing. Absolutely the best metronome. It's an incredibly powerful and flexible tool for improving your musical timing and learning not to follow a pulse so much as naturally sync to it.
TL;DR-Love it, 4/5 because I can't make presets longer. Love this app for rhythm training. I'm in my Masters for tuba and I'm using this quite extensively for subdivision on Die Meistersinger and Prokofiev 5. Would be willing to pay more if I were able to make longer presets for beats - to use for the entirety of one excerpt where meters change often. I'd love to cue up Rite of Spring in this, but the presets are too short!!!
I was looking for a metronome app that went below 40bpm and had programmable features for leaving out beats, etc and this is a great app. Really easy to use and great for serious musicians.
Hi there, Just to thank you for your job on this app, it's incredible. My rhythm teacher told me about it and it is tremendously helpful. Really well thought. I was afraid of metronomes before and I now have fun practicing with it. Thank you very much! I'm gonna spread the word about it, it's so perfect. Cheers !
I bought it... and refunded it 2 minutes later.... why? Simple...I use a tablet and use it landscape not portrait and this app forces you portrait. Seems like a basic design oversight for am app that looked to have promise for me. Definitely disappointed. If changed them I will reconsider.t
A fantastic tool to internalize tempo and pulse. Does what it says with simple but effective configuration options.
June 9th all presets gone again Remember, in Oreo going forward, any data stored internally created by an app will be deleted upon uninstall of that app AND if updates are not handled properly (such aa when having the packager uninstall, then reinstall the updates version, rather than the Google-required side loading method!) So u side load, u dont uninstall/install new update? Your Pixel is Oreo or Pie? You dont offer a choice where we save presets, can you?
Amazing metronome. If you are practicing something over a pattern you can plug that info in and play along to the pattern you need practice over.
interesting app. very different than other metronomes. it would be great if they would add the value of triplets quarter notes. and maybe quintouplets of quarter as well
Click on settings I only have access to changing how the metronome sounds and for meter select is impossible to work with Hope you can make this thing user friendly don't know what to do anymore
Love this metronome. Such a powerful tool for developing your timing and groove. I use it for teaching and my own practice.
Love the random mute feature! Also really intuitive for using in compound time signatures with custom groupings.
I can't think of anything I don't need in this little app, with regard to metronome functionality. It's quite the useful little tool actually.
A metronome with the flexibility of a drum machine, this app is extremely useful. Thank You!!!
Great for training your sense of time in auditions! As Principal trombone of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and formerly the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, this tool was essential to my audition prep
Love it! Good for non Western rhythms!
NOT intuitive! Tempo is much easier to use.
Nightmare to use. Impossible to clear previous settings!
Won't give it 5 stars, because I only bought it for the ability to mute bars...which took a minute to figure out honestly, but only because of my ineptness. As far as other features, it's a pretty basic click. There a good amount of click sounds which is refreshing, but again, the most useful thing for me is the muting feature. By far the best way I have found to develope a drummer's internal clock.
