The app asks for permission to EVERYTHING on my Android tablet, then doesn't even work. It seems to show some seriously outdated article headlines then won't even open them. What a disappointment. Love my paper copy but hate this worthless app. Removing the app now. Please fix it so we can use it!

This is one of my favorite apps. I like the simple interface & the ability to save articles. For such a big company, Time Mobile ironically feels short changed: Grainy graphics on 720p&full HD display, multiple images on a page fail to load, and lists fail to load displaying a network error message in spite of a solid wifi connection.

For some reason everytime I open the app up the first time, the app freezes and doesn't open. So when I re open it, it finally actually opens. Then, every time I want to view "photos of the week," it refuses to load and says "no network connection" even when I clearly have a network connection. This is a bit disappointing from a company like Time.

Every time I try to open the app, it tells me that it's offline and to try again later. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it again, rebooting the phone, etc. Same issue. It's no my wifi since all other websites and apps arw working properly. Sad. I was looking forward to using this app.

I am a subscriber to Time Magazine and enjoy getting my weekly copy delivered to my home. However as I travel frequently, the thought of being able to ready my weekly subscription on-line while away from home was very appealing. How wrong was I. It appears that Time Mobile will only work if you own an iPad. Come on Time, get with the programme and fix your app, make it work on an Android device.

When I first installed the App it worked without glitches and operated seamlessly. Over time, the App has only gotten worse. Does not load well, plenty of errors and slow. Only download if you're a fan of the content Time magazine offers. Otherwise, just stick to the website or the paperback version.

App works poorly and regularly crashes. Too frustrating to be worthwhile. Pictures and format do not load properly. The version I just installed on my new phone only has Top Stories section but on my old phone there were several sections.

This used to be my go to news, by far my favorite app to get me caught up on what's happening around the world. Recently I've been having trouble loading most of the sections and it keeps saying no data network available. Please fix!

I've been a Time subscriber for a number of years and have enjoyed the digital version on my iPad. I've now upgraded from iPad to a Galaxy Tab and have found that Time doesn't have a digital version for its South Pacific subscribers. It's ludicrous that in 2014 the tablet version is restricted to iPad alone. I work away and also spend a fair bit of time travelling so relied on the digital magazine to keep up to date with my editions as it can be a number of weeks between access to my print copies. Unfortunately as I can not access my digital copies on my Android tablet I'll not be continuing my subscription to Time when it comes up for renewal.

Every time Time is worst. Instead of improving, this app eliminates features, one after another. No respect to their advertising about a subscriber being able to get the mobile app, there's no way to register. It's sad to see such a symbol of world press sliding down all the time. Why bother to promote subscriptions if you are not evolving?

I am surprised that an app with the well known TIME brand always fails while reporting that there is no network connection, while all other apps use the connection without issue. It doesn't matter if using WiFi or cellular- same failure.

I purchased a subscription as part of a students fund raiser, but when I discontinued my subscription, I have been bombarded with emails requesting I renew. This organization refuses to honor my opt out requests, and I have filed complaints with the FCC, ISP and Registrar. If they can't respect a customer's marketing preferences in your inbox, do you want them to have access to your phone?

As a subscriber, I enjoy my weekly "hard copy" of Time, but the Android app is useless. And it's not my device. The Galaxy S5 has plenty of horsepower; the Time app doesn't. It's a shame the developers can't write code that achieves the same level of quality that Time journalists exhibit in THEIR writing! Save yourself the frustration. Pan the app; buy the magazine.

Time magazine apparently thinks the world begins and ends with the US. Extremely user-unfriendly to users and subscribers outside US who want to download an app to their android devices. Get this: in the list of countries outside US they don't even show Austria. Time always rejects the correct details including subscriber number. Nothing helps!!

I don't have any idea what is going on with the app. I see few stories, nothing international, political and most are outdated. Today is 11/8, election day and there is zero coverage of it in the app while the website is nothing but election (as it should be today). Looks like it is very outdated and doesn't pull most stories

From the existing reviews it appears Time isn't maintaining this app. I'm a subscriber on a Samsung S6 Active with Android 5.1.1. No pictures show up, the required permissions to install are ridiculous (you don't need to know who's calling me), there's nowhere to enter subscriber information, and I keep getting a "Web page not available" error when navigating within the app. Please update this!

Don't waste time on this app as you can have a Ph.D. In It and you cannot make this one work. The British Economist will do the same thing for you and they have IT down cold. TIME HAS HORRIBLE IT so don't wast you time on their bad IT. Time is important and time publishing doesn't understand their subscribers need to get things done in a timely way so try the Economist ....they have digital down. I just wasted a half hour on Time IT . Don't waste your time >.. It won't work.

Haven't been able to refresh the articles for ages now. Thought I'd reinstall but looking through the reviews the problem goes back to at least February. I guess the developer doesn't care so I'll just get rid of it.

I didn't like this app very much two years ago, today I like it even less. I'm holding the latest issue in my hands reading an article I would like to find on the app so I could share electronically with a friend and I can't find half the articles that I see in the magazine ... And the search function doesn't work. I don't know what's going on but as a subscriber this is extremely disappointing.

App runs slow - and what is the little bar that slowly lowers & raises? Get rid of that junk. The app's permissions (what it can access in my phone) is ridiculous. I just want to read articles when I have spare time. Quit adding a bunch of ridiculous stuff this app doesn't need to do. Keep it simple so it will actually work. Unless you don't want anyone to renew their subscription.

As a long time subscriber to Time I decided to check out the current android app. I last used the app about 3 years ago and whilst it was fairly basic then it was not far behind other apps. Unfortunately the app has not kept pace it's competition. Admitted selection of articles displayed in a drab format. Errors on screen relating to an inability to display some Web content. Only three b of stories. For the time being I will stick with the paper version. And in 2014 that says it all.

This is one of the best android apps I have found. Time has always been a favourite source of information on US points of view on topics that matter. This app enhances that experience with easy navigation. It is also as resource frugal as one could wish for. Widget less than stellar. Thanks dev!

I was expecting more from this application since I paid the $2.99 monthly fee to read the articles/essays on this site. In addition to having a poorly made mobile application, there is nowhere for me sign into my premium account. This is a poor excuse for a mobile application from a "reputable" media source. Please avoid this application.

Y. H. Mar 30, 2015

Started out as an amazing app with almost 10 sections and plenty of interesting articles to read. Now it failed to update itself, after I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, there's only three sections(life, top stories...) left. Quite disappointing to sew how this app has become.

Maybe I'm being dramatic but the excellent team at techland could make a better app. Good gracious me. If funding is a issue. Have a price. I came to get inside Techland Swampland and the incomparable The Bachelor covrerage but its back to firefox. This app is crapp. Please redo.

It flashes 404 error on screen all the time, must be using http in the background, with amateurish parsing... really poor job. Looks like this was programmed by high school kids :-)

Still trying to find a better way than my Paperwhite to read Time. This is not it. The news is so out of date (like Trump is the candidate but the latest news is that Virginia governor endorses Rubio!). Light box is still in 2014. Come on, guys.
