Time Trainer Metronome

This app can be perfect with 2 simple changes. 1 - the app absolutely needs to stop your phone screen from turning off. After 30 seconds (depending on your phone's screen timeout timer), the screen turns off and the metronome stops. 2 - an on-screen timer. Justin's practice schedules are often broken down into 5 minute chunks. It would be useful to have a timer in the app. To be honest, I would not have purchased this app if I knew beforehand that it lacks these features.

No longer works with the latest version of android, after no updates for 8 years there's now an update but it has to be purchased again, not very good support. Pity I love Justin's guitar course and think his books are excellent.

One of the main reasons I bought this over other free apps was because of the screenshot of being able to change that dreaded metronome sound yet that doesn't appear to be possible? I'd like to support Justin but... Help me out everyone, am I just missing this? Otherwise, misleading apps still showing outdated version screen shots=refund.

Not updated since 2012 and not compatible with modern Android! This is a shame because it looks so promising. i have the IOS version and it's fantastic.

Stops after 1 minute or so. Too old to work on modern Android OS. Don't buy! JG never bothered to properly update, instead released new metronome and left old customers with broken app. Shame :(

Great app but it doesn't keep my phone awake and then stops when the phone goes into lock mode.

Doesn't work on new android, I would have at least expected to have half price on new ap as an existing user.

I think one of the best metronome training apps out there. I'll tried a whole bunch the only thing missing from this Android version is the ability to change to a woodblock sound which I would really appreciate. Also it would be great if Justin's one minute changes exercise with built-in instead of having to buy a separate app for it

seems to have all the options i would look for including pausing the speed training, but have to give 1 big star off for no ability to save the settings. there could even be a way to save automatically so the last options will be used next time. but without some way to save it is much less useful.

Overall this is a good app but it would be better if: (1) the speed upper feature allowed the user to select a start tempo lower than 40. Why not allow the start tempo to be 20 or 30? I realize there is a workaround but would like it better to be able to put in the actual number. (2) I would like to see a timer included with the regular metronone (3) It would be good to be able to save and name a session setting. For example if I am working to speed up tempo, from one session to the next, it would be good to have a record of what I did last time so that I can remember where to start the next time.

This metronome apps is very usefull for me and i love it. Only the drawback about this apps which i quite annoyed for me is, it lack a setting to make the screen always on while im practising playing guitar. I am very happy if you can add this feature on next version. Thanks for making this great apps for musician..

I purchased this app assuming it would have subdivision as any decent metronome should and found out it is completely useless to me. It needs subdivision for 8ths, 8th triplets, 16ths, quintuplets and sexruplets. Also needs some options for the click sound. The current one is far too soft and mushy sounding for my needs. The trainer ideas are cool but without these features, totally worthless for me.

This is the best metronome app that I've found. If you haven't checked out Justin's website you really should. The interface of this app is really nice, both aesthetically and from a user-friendly point of view. The only downside I can see is that at 3.5mb it's a bit large on older phones, though that's about the size of one small mp3 file. I can only imagine this means that the interface looks even better on a high-res screen.

My fave feature is the bar breaks as it helps me strengthen my inner clock. But I feel the app is a bit buggy. It's also not very intuitive to use. Sometimes the license check keeps on failing so I have to do extra work just so I can use it.

It's a good app for functions but it's let down by not disabling the screen time out. The sound continues but the screen goes blank. This is a shame because I've bought other stuff produced by Justin and it's all of a very high standard. He needs to have a word with his developers as it would be an easy fix.

If the swinging arm is not in time it is just a distraction and makes staying in time harder. Fix it or remove the swinging arm completely.

It's a great app, most accurate and consistent metronome in the Play Store. But no support from developer so 3 stars. I understand you need to make money, and the android version isn't doing it for you, but at least update the app drawer icon to an HD version.

I've tried a few metronome apps and some didn't even keep accurate time. This not only keeps perfect time but has some brilliant features for practising with. The gradual speed up has been amazing for learning licks. Superb.

I like Time Trainer and it's advanced trainer features. There are a few things that could still be improved: I would like the settings to be "sticky", and I would like the screen to rotate when I rotate my Android machine. Most importantly, I would like the metronome to work properly when I have another app running in the background. I have the impression that the metronome gets really flaky - speeds up and slows down - if something is running the background.

Does what is says on the tin. There are two extras I would like. 1st a timer and 2nd the screen sleep on the phone needs disabling. I've got round this by setting the screen sleep to 5 mins. I now have a 5 min timer. ;-) p.s. your website is very good.

I dunno you would think that an app called Time trainer would have a timer for all the modes, not just one. Otherwise it's not bad.

Great features to help with timing training. I haven't seen another app with similar functions. I just wish Justin would make more Android apps.

I have an old version of this on my old iPod touch and I realised it has more trainer features then on this one on S7 Edge. Over all I use frequently and I love it.

Great trainer multiple modes. Using it to speed up my flute abilities. App works perfectly on my Google Nexus 7 tablet. Visual sometimes lags on my Samsung Galaxy Light phone, but audio works perfectly.

I love this app and it is the only metronome I use. Would love triplet and other beats as an option but just splitting hairs.

Watched a YouTube video with Justin and the Captain ((Andertons). Justin mentioned this app. Thought I'd try it( good advertising, ) I hate using a metronome. ( I know I should use one) Well. This one has some neat features. I love it. Not just boring click click click.
