Timelapse - Sony Camera

Very buggy, struggles to connect to camera, need to toggle other wifi camera connections to make it work. Has worked in the past once, now it will take 1 pic, and freeze on the next. Or take 12 and then freeze up. Super unreliable. Samsung S9 and a Sony HX400V. So disappointing.

Works fine on my RX100 V (selected RX100 IV in the app, as mark V was not an option; no support for RX0 either and couldn't get it to work on that). There are some significant limitations, the camera basically acts as a router that your phone connects to, so your phone has no WiFi and also cannot leave the app for the entire duration of the time lapse. Time inverals shorter than 5 seconds also resulted in frame skipping and uneven timing (though none of this is really the app developer's fault).

Not perfect, but works fine... Shooting at night in 30sec mode i shows frame skipped notification but thats nothing to worry about because it still capture everything... I suggest if you can fix the phone screen timeout control that would be nice, because if you leave the phone untouched the screen can turn off automatically even while the app is still working, resulting in connection lost...

Excellent App, just bought a Sony Rx100va which doesn't have the play memories anymore and Sony's imaging edge mobile app doesn't do time-lapse. This work's great, just connect with password from ctl smartphone, just make sure that the interval you set is greater than your shutter speed as it is total interval and not interval on top of time taken to take shot

Simple and to the point. Manually connect your phone to your camera's WiFi and then open the app. Works a treat. I had to remove the post photo preview and set the camera settings to single shot, then it worked a treat.

Super Excellent app. Used with Sony Nex 5T. If I connect thru NFC it will only allow to shoot in jpeg, but when connected through sony wifi smart remote will shoot in both jpeg and raw file. Just make sure you are using sony wifi smart remote "Imaging Edge" and will work just beautiful as any intervelometer but without any wires.

Galaxy S8 + A7II - Every time the cellphone screen turns otf the Timelapse goes nuts... The only way Ive managed to make it work was to keep the screen always on... Not exactly the best solution. Besides that it is a good app.

Great app! To get this working with my sony a5100 I had to open the 'smart remote embedded' application on the camera. Then I connected to the wifi network of the camera(name and password were on the screen) and after that I opened the timelapse app on my smartphone.

Thank you developing this app but I couldn't get camera to connect to my phone while I'm out and about. Unless I missing something, but I can only use it where wifi is available. Worked fine at home but when I was in national park, rural area (no wifi available) I can not get app to connect. Pls look into it and fix. Thanks again.

Slightly clunky BUT with a bit of care getting the wifi settings right so the phone doesn't drop the connection in the background it WORKS with RX100 mkII! Thank you.

Nothing really happens. I am getting an error occurred message despite everything being set up properly. Still, kudos for making the effort to create such app for the community.

I can connect and see viewfinder in the phone, but cannot trigger the shutter. Zoom in and out is functional. Sony rx10 mk4 using updated firmware 2.0.0

Doesn't seem to work with the Sony DSC-HX99. Can connect via WiFi, but the API line keeps blinking with a red "X". If the dev updates the app to work with the newer cameras, I will try again and update my review.

Really good app when it's working, in the last two weeks I couldn't connect the camera to the app and it's really frustrating, are there any suggestions or a way to fix that? I had this issue in the past as well

There should be more settings. Specially a "don't show preview" etc. Hey, idiots, install the remote app to your camera for connection.

The app can't connect at the "sony api" part, with my sony a7III Also can I use this app for bulb mode to take 30s+ shots ? Any help appreciated !

I have installed it and tested! Why the camera list has not included the Sony RX10 III. Since it has almost all other cams in the category.

It connects and shoots but no timelapse is recorded, checked all files in all folders of my SD card and phone and nothing!

The App is not connecting to my Sony 5100. Truly wish it will connect and able to use the Timelapse with my Sony a5100

To much buggy app. Only connected one time successfully after that never.

Installed on Samsung S20 Connects to my A6500 over WiFI OK Then "Sony API connection" fails - I can't get past this step.

A little bit of setup would go a long way. But the author is doing this in his spare time. What a champ!

Hmm I have the A7II and the API won't load, with wifi or NFC.

Works fine with DSC HX400v and I dont need to buy the 10€ app for the camera!

Earlier it was working but now it is showing some problem. Please fix it soon
