Timely Alarm Clock

This has been my absolute favorite go to clock / stopwatch / timer app, for the better part of 10 years now I believe? I remember first downloading it on my Samsung S4, and have always loved the elegant UI, & ESPECIALLY the ability to customize each of the 3 screens by blending 3 colors of my choice. Digital aesthetics are ridiculously important to me, and no other timekeeping app comes close to Timely in this regard. Thanks to the awesome development team! ❤️

Did the developer die? The website is down and they don't respond to inquiries. So sad there's no updates, because I loved this app for years syncing on multiple devices but now it's glitchy and only reliable about 80-90% of the time. I tried changing the Theme so I could actually see the app on my screen when outside to turn off or snooze the alarm, but it just keeps changing back. I would have paid for a version that had updates to keep it functioning! I'm looking for a replacement app now.

Unfortunately it seems this app is no longer available newer versions of Android. Thankfully I have been able to transfer it to my new device and it continues to work so far. This is a gorgeous app that works perfectly for setting specific alarms on different days, and the stopwatch/timer functions are very intuitive. I've been using it for years and haven't seen any other clock app come close! Thank you to the developers for making this! 😊

I've used this app for years on several different phones. Loved it, relied on it. The degree of control is great. Recently, when using the timer, the app only started sounding if I opened the app. With the alarm, it wouldn't open the screen automatically. The experience became cumbersome and unreliable. Possibly a compatibility issue with the new Note 20. Regardless, had to delete after so many years. Saddened but on to the next...

I loved this app. It was the only timer/alarm app I used for almost four years... but then I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S10+. The app doesn't work with Android 10 Oreo, and because it's not, my timers and alarms are relegated to 'unimportant' by my phone's operating system, and automatically classified as a silent notification. This is incredibly disappointing. Unless the app is open and the screen on, I won't receive notice that a timer or alarm is going off. Needless to say, this is useless when you're trying to set an alarm to wake you up in the morning or use a timer for anything productive. I don't want to have to sit next to my phone to keep checking the screen to be sure it's on and my app will work. It defeats the purpose. I sincerely hope Timely will update soon to correct these issues that I and others are experiencing. This really is a wonderful little app, and would love to be able to start using it again. I'll give it a few weeks before I uninstall and find an alternative. Fingers crossed I can go back to what I love and not have to find something new to replace it.

I've used this app on multiple phones over the last few years. It's been my go-to alarm app and I've absolutely loved it. But now after the latest Android upgrade it's broken. Alarms no longer wake up the screen (even with appropriate settings given permission). I've been reluctant to try a new alarm app but I think I've finally gotten frustrated enough that I need to move on. Maybe if you have an older Android device give Timely a try, it's amazing when it works properly.

I've used Timely on every Android phone and tablet I have owned over the years and promoted it to others. Not only for its great design and ease of use but it's ability to sync across multiple devices. Unfortunately I find after upgrading to a new phone it no longer seems to sync with other devices. I remember that the developer Bitspin based in Zurich was purchased or otherwise absorbed (assimilated) by Google in 2014. I guess the developers have been reassigned to other projects. Shame.

I have been using timely for years. Unfortunately, like so many others, the combination of the latest Android OS and a Note10+ has rendered this once great app almost useless. It can no longer be snoozed/turned off from the lock screen. You need to unlock the phone and scroll through your notifications, find the Timely alarm notification, open it, and then turn off the alarm. Way too many steps to be convenient. Worse yet, it has become unreliable and sometimes doesnt even trigger the alarm.

I've had this app for years. Back then, it came highly recommended. I was impressed with the quality of the product and the control. However, it no longer works as advertised. The alarm must be hunted down in notifications, making any of the wake up screen features useless. The timer no longer beeps if the screen is off (at least for me for timers about an hour or more). I'm very disappointed.

I've used this app for a few years now. Up until recently, it's worked flawlessley, and been easy to use. In the last few months however, the app crashes continuously, just about every day, along with the alarm not going off at times. I have reported the issues, but with no resolution so far. Updated: Months have gone by with no response, or repairs. Uninstalled.

I've had this app for a while (2 years+). Love so many aspects. Well designed, awesome features. But it's gotten buggy lately. Used to automatically take over the screen when the alarm went off, allowing you to snooze or turn off the alarm. Now, it doesn't: you have to dig into notifications, tap on the alarm notification, and then it comes up. Also, there were times (1 out of 100?) when the alarms doesn't go off. No bueno...

I've had this app for like 5 years and it has been great until recently. The alarm has recently been occasionally failing to go off. I was almost late to work this morning because of it (had to skip shower and breakfast). I am 100% sure it is an app failure and not user error because it has been doing the same thing with the timer I use when I take lunch. Also the widget has not been updating the correct time. Uninstalled.

Great app for years. Used it across multiple devices and loved it. But with Android 10 it stopped working right. Alarm still goes off but it doesn't turn on the screen or open the app. I have to manually go into the app drawer to open the app and shut off the alarm. Which isnt easy when you're half awake and doesnt leave an option for snooze. Please update it!

I've used Timely for years and loved it. There was the occasional bug but overall it was great and a beautiful app. Unfortunately it does not work with the latest Android update. The alarm goes off but the screen does not wake up, you have to unlock your phone and swipe down the notification bar and go to Timely from the notification. Really obnoxious and frustrating when you're half asleep. I've uninstalled and am using the default app since I don't know of a replacement for this.

Would be five but, unfortunately, Timely no longer appears on screen when an alarm goes off. I eventually figured out I could access it through my notifications. Snooze no longer works, the alarm never goes off again. I think it has something to do with the fact that Timely can't access the "Appear on Top" feature. I still like it as a screen saver but I can't use the alarm function any longer. Pity. I like the alarm tones.

This WAS an amazing app. Customizable and very polished. But since Android pie, the alarm or timer will not sound audibly if the screen times out or you navigate to another screen. I've emailed them several times and have not received an answer. Online searches show that I'm not the only one with this issue. Hopefully they fix it soon. UPDATE: was working on my new s10 very well for several months. But now it's experiencing the same issues. Looks like these developers have disappeared. Shame

I've been using this app for years across multiple devices without any issues. I finally got a phone running the current version of Android (Galaxy S10e), and now the alarms are unreliable at best and the widget doesn't work; the time doesn't change until I tap on the widget. I'm sure there will be a fix for this but right now it's functionally useless.

As others stated, I've used this for years without trouble. Recently, when the alarm sounds, there is no notification giving me the option to "Snooze" or "Dismiss". Instead, I have to find and open the App, scroll through to that particular alarm time & day setting, and change it from On to Off. This is the only way to stop it from playing. It's very annoying while on a call. My alarm continues to become louder and louder, interrupting conversations, while I frantically try to turn it off. ☹️

I used Timely for years because it was perfect. It had everything well organized and in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Unfortunately, as many others have pointed out, it no longer works on the new android updates. In my case specifically, it won't open at all. It just crashes and crashes. I'll miss Timely, and I hate to see it go, but I need my alarms to work. Hopefully they'll put out an update eventually...

I have been a fan of this app for several years and used it consistently on all of my devices. However, after recently upgrading to a new device running Android 10 I found as others have that the app is no longer reliable. While alarms do seem to chime at the designated time, it does not wake the phone up nor does it display the snooze button automatically over top of anything else that's running. I have to manually unlock the device, swipe down and manually select the alarm to silence it.

I loved this app and have had it on my tablet and phone for years. But something randomly happens to it on two different tablets that causes the alarm to go off 30 minutes before it is set to go off...or randomly...ir not at all. The sounds option, multiple alarms and stop watch are fabulous. ..when they work consistently. Now I'll have to search out another app..,sadly...and start all over again. I'm still not quite ready to totally give up on it, but wish they'd fix it to operate better.

i have had this app for a few years, and used it every day. it has good features, and i liked the ability to have the alarm time start quiet, and gradually get louder. unfortunately, the past few months i would set an alarm and nothing would happen. an alarm icon would appear at the top of my screen, but it didn't actually do anything. it became unreliable, so I'm uninstalling.

This was previously a fantastic alarm clock and timer app. Unfortunately, there are now a number of serious issues that limit the app's usefulness. For instance, when the alarm goes on, the app no longer shows on the lock screen so that it can be snoozed. Instead, I have to unlock the phone and go into the app to do so. The alarm and timer have become unreliable. I'm hoping these issues will get resolved with an update.

Keeps Crashing. I've used this app for several years, and I love it. Love the functionality, love the interface and how it keeps your alarms synced even when you change devices. However, with the recent Pie update, I can no longer open the app. I try and it just crashes. Looking desperately for a fix because I don't feel like any other app works as good as this one. Help!

I'm not sure what has changed but this alarm is no longer working. I've loved this app for many years. And for me it was 5 stars. It was easy to use, I liked the different tones you could choose from, everything was great. Then recently the alarms don't seem to go off any longer, or they are not waking the phone so it says that the alarm was silenced after 45 min. Which I know is not the case because I've got a second alarm set now that follows a minute after this one. Very disappointed.

I've used Timely for a few years and loved it. It used to be incredibly reliable until a few days ago when it stopped working. It sounds like others are having the same problem. The app was up to date so I uninstalled and reinstalled but it's not functioning properly. Are the Timely developers working on this issue? I can't afford the risk so I will have to start using something else. I hope Timely fixes the problem because it was a fantastic alarm clock that fit all my needs perfectly.

used to be great, but in the last month it started going off at 5:45 am, a time i do not have an alarm set for, and doesn't go off at 6:15, a time i DO have an alarm set for. I've checked for other phone synced times and it's not that. I've made sure the days are set correctly and they are. i I don't know if it's a Galaxy S10 problem or an app problem, but i can no longer trust this alarm. Makes me sad in a way because it's a great app that I've used for years. Hope this gets addressed and fixed.

My experience is like most other recent reviews following the upgrade to Android 10. The alarm will go off, but you have to unlock your phone, then access the app, then turn it off. The timer is similar, except the app only lets you know when a timer is finished in notifications. It doesn't pop up the end of the timer, meaning you can easily miss it if you do other things on your phone. I really like the UI, but the app is now broken and I don't recommend to anyone with android 10.
