This app WAS a great interval timer. But it won't run consistently in the background anymore. I still get my beeps at the end of my first interval, but it doesn't continue timing the next interval. When I unlock my phone to see what's going on, it automatically restarts the first interval again. Totally doesn't serve its purpose.

A nearly perfect Interval Timer. The flexibility of the intervals (not just the same thing in loops) and the the different ways you can be notified of the next phase coming are very, very nice. Adding two things would give it 5 stars: 1) The name of the interval, is written in a tiny font. Use a bigger font. It's odd, because the icons for the notifications are about 3 times bigger than the name of the interval. Who needs those at all, after they are set up. Use that real estate to make the name of the interval bigger 2) If there is documentation, I was not able to find it. Via trial and error, I got several things working, certainly enough to be useful. But there might be other cool options that I have not figured out. Overall a good interval timer tool, that could be better.

Very impressed so far. It's a free application that believes in function over form. The UI treatment is basic, but the features are great. I need to test how it does with background music playing and what not, but I love the concept so far. I think the author could update the UI, offer pre built exercise timers and charge money. Never underestimate a fleshed out UI. If you are looking for a customizable timer, for exercise or other, with voice response, get this now.

I really like this app! It's easy to understand and use. I like that I can set multiple intervals, and then loop them instead of having to set all intervals individually. It would be cool if the full screen option showed the stages like the main screen of the workout. I use this for teaching my exercise classes, and I haven't had any issues with it! Thank you for a great app!

It would have been great but I'm facing a big issue. The "Screen" behavior sends a notification to my phone saying the app is trying to wake my screen, and I have to click it in order for the screen alarm to show up. It doesn't show up on its own. I've given the app every permission, including drawing over my screen, and other apps with similar functions (like Fabulous) can do it fine.

The timer machine is a very good app. I use it to time guitar practice routines, looping the parts I need extra work on. The text to speech is really useful, I use it to tell me what bars to practice at each step, this saves me looking at the timer and I can concentrate on the music and the guitar. A feature I would like added is to show the total time left, in the form of a progress bar. I use multiple steps and loops so a progress bar is an easy guide to the remaining time.

Best timer app ever! I love the level of customization possibile, suitable for whatever purpose. The developer is also really responsive and helped me solve my problem. 多谢! Ps: It turned out that to make sure the app doesn't stop I need to block it in the recent app tray. Otherwise it might stop even if I don't clear the recent apps. It doesn't disappear the notification, it just reset the timers and pause.

Not an improvement over the old Cycle Timer, it's ridiculously complex and a nuisance to set up, especially for something as simple as a timer. Might be interesting to someone with OCD. And, ironically, the "tutorial" doesn't work, doesn't know how to tutor; and like the app itself, it's hard to follow- and did I mention it doesn't seem to work, unless it's supposed to be a puzzle for you to solve.

I've tried heaps similar apps. From the size and also the quality of this app, by far it is absolutely a 5-star App. I have been using it as my daily workout routine for 1 mth now and without any issues or bugs. Besides, this app doesn't limit the scope of use, it mostly can achieve many purposes. I understand the app is for free and also ad-free. However, may I please suggest a bit more features that I expect? 1) If possbile, could you please improve the "record statistics"? So far it only shows one single day data. It doesn't show the count of activities in a month or a year. Or would be awesome to display the statistics through a period selection. Since the data is ready, technically just the way how to display the data. 2) Would be awesome to sync/backup data automatically to Google drive or other Cloud, then no need to export manually. Thanks heaps to the developer for making such a useful & ad-free app. Keep up the good job!

I use it for a daily routine that doesn't start at a specific time every day. Just click the widget when you're ready to start. (Or use the scheduler to make it start at a specific time automatically). Plus you can add extra time to a timer while it's running. Which is helpful when a task your working on takes longer then expected. I've tried, and purchased, many daily routine schedulers. This is the best out of all of them because it is very customizable and has features that make sense.

Very useful App. Wonderful Idea. Just has what I am looking for. I am using it everyday. No problem seen till now. Few more ideas, 1. If this can be integrated to Android Smart watches OS, nothing can beat it. 2. When Timers started one after the other (based on settings), it will still show the old timer page, but it should show the active timer.

Was looking for a replacement for a guided task app on my old phone that doesn't alarm reliably on this one. This app is just about perfect and very customizable! My phone aggressively memory manages no matter how many things I disable, but the scheduler even sort of worked! Just gotta figure out how to keep it working consistently (and hopefully it's not one of those handful of apps that needs the trick of a widget...).

The interface is a little clunky, but once you figure out how to set up your *fully customizable* routine, this thing is the ABSOLUTELY BEST habit-routine-former I have ever used. It lets me set up a multi-hour routine, with notifications in the form of persistent alarms or music (you can pick anything on your phone!) or specific verbal instructions (text to speech function, and you can insert your own text). The days I wake up with numbing depression and usually waste hours stumbling around, this app can get you through the first few hours until you feel better and be productive in it to boot. All I need to do when I wake up is open the app, hit the "play" button, and then the app bullies/guides/encourages me through the next few hours from a routine I had designed in happier moments (e.g. 2 minute of music I like, an audio reminder that won't shut up till I get out of bed and hit the 'next' button, then an audio reminder to drink water, 2 minutes later a reminder to pray, 10 minutes later tells me to go outside and look at the sky, 25 minutes go sit at your desk to work, 4 minutes hallelujah chorus plays congratulating me for working, then work/break cycles, etc)

Does most of what I need it do (intervals for exercise and studying), but the tutorials seemed like too much info all at once so I skipped them. It's worked out so far. I just wish there were more flexibility for notification during a routine step rather than (halftime, and countdown). I just break it down further, as needed.

Everything a runner could need, but none of the bloat ware. It can run intervals, has myriad notification options, voice to text for intructions is fantastic. Comes with a series of pre made timers to teach you tricks but really 10 minutes of messing around and you can set up anything. Multiple ways to accomplish the same goals so do what feels right. Its literally just a timer, but its the absolute best timer app on the store, and I've tested way too many.

I love this app. Best one I found after 6-8 options! Very customizable and you can auto run activities in sequence. I also love that i can have music playing and the app will sound appropriately as programmed. I am using it to run a steady 5k before transitioning to a 4:2 run walk cycle for a half marathon. I have two diff activities that run in sequence and the 4:2 just repeats cycles as many times as I set it repeat.

Very glad I found this app. This timer is both more polished and versital than the rest, providing a one-stop-shop for use cases ranging from Tabata to Pomodoro. It keeps a historical log, and I also use it as a count up timer by setting an interval for one minute and then auto rerunning the timer. I am doing this as digital wellbeing tool like the Forest app, but customized the solution to count up my digital-free time rather than count down.

Just a brilliant app. If you were prepared to invest a huge amount of time, you could probably achieve the same functionalities in Tasker, but the end result would not be as elegant as this or even close, and would not be nearly as easily configurable or as easy to use as TimeR Machine. Useful in countless ways. I hope the developer doesn't make too many major changes to the app as it already works just the way it should. Can't praise it enough. Big thank you and congrats to the developer.

Totally configurable with vocal capability to announce next interval. Only complaint is sometimes I cannot hear the vocal - I modified from 1 sec to 2 seconds, but occasionally hiccups early in the session. What is the minimal time needed to ensure the vocal content, which is typically one work - start, stop, high, low, run, walk - like that?

Excellent app! Does exact ly what it says. I was looking for an app that had varying lengths of run/walk intervals. I found this one and am able to create my own run/walk intervals. I can choose the interval to use based on my criteria for that day, unlike those trainer apps. I can also use this app for other things like cleaning up the house or studying. I tried it out for a bit and have now subscribed to support the app creators work. Thank you for this fantastic app!

Thanks for the continuous updates and creating instruction manual. App can now do what I wanted with it. Unfortunately, I seem to experience a lot of automatic stop/reset on my timers without apparent reason? Edit: Changed to 5 Stars. Not the apps fault. Disabling battery optimization and pinning the app help fixed the issue.

Tom. J. Oct 26, 2019

I've been looking for ages for an app that I can use for multi-zone intensity interval training. All 'interval timer' apps just do cycles of 'work' & 'rest'. This gives me the the customisation options I need :) Would be great to be able to reorder steps and to duplicate timers to make variants, but great app otherwise.

DRS. D. Mar 10, 2022

Love it! The more I have been using, the more I reap the benefits of controlling my timed calisthenics; whether it be, kettlebell swings to seated ring chinups. Great app for training. Perhaps a way to make "notes" might even improve this excellent app.

Gil. S. Sep 5, 2020

Great app, very well-designed. I love how much I can customize on the timers, even down to what the app says at the beginning and end of a section and having groups loop individually. I use this to time myself running while I work on pacing myself and building endurance, and it's more than I could have hoped for in a timer!

DMK. Feb 7, 2022

I took my rating down from a 4 star to a 2 star. App stopped running in background and YES...I did check settings in app and phone and allowed permissions to run in background. Now, unfortunately, it stops working right when I just get started into routine. This WAS the best timer app I could find.

Cra. G. May 26, 2021

Great app, a lot of small details that add up. One thing that I'm really looking for is the ability to randomize the length of these steps by percentage. So if I set a step to 2 minutes and randomize by 20%, it would end +/- 0-24 seconds.

I was looking for an interval timer to help me practise and memorize guitar pieces using the interleaved method. This app fits this purpose like a glove: easy to use, elegant in its simplicity, intuitive, and highly customizable. Great app!

Sam. J. Feb 17, 2019

Nice app, I was able to set the timer for 14:58,9:58,4:58 and it is working perfectly. The same timer set on Cycle Timer was producing a bug. However, this app is even better than Cycle Timer. The best part of this app is the capability to work in the background.I think this app has a lot of potential and hopeful it will be even more powerful in the future. But, for now it is an awesome app.
