Settings
- Choose whether to play all media in the background, audio only or to never play in the background
- Change the default playback speed; available in Timeshift Pro only
- Change left & right swipe gestures in Timeshift Free and any swipe gesture in Timeshift Pro
- Change the short jump length in Timeshift Free and any jump length in Timeshift Pro
Timeshift is handy for:
- Learning a foreign language through audio/video courses, movies, podcasts or audiobooks. Slow down audio for easier understanding, jump back quickly to previous dialogues and AB repeat a conversation.
- Watching video lectures for a course, eg. videos downloaded from Coursera, Open University, MIT OpenCourseWare, etc. Speed up lectures, jump forward past known or predictable bits and add notes for later review.
- Listening to presentations and talks to broaden your knowledge, eg. videos downloaded from TED, YouTube, etc. Play media faster to cover more talks in less time.
- Learning a musical instrument by playing to music. Use AB repeat to practice a section over and over.
Timeshift supports offline media on your device's local storage. You need to copy or download the audio or video onto your device's storage (eg. SD card) to play them in Timeshift. Timeshift does not support online (streaming) media.
Timeshift uses VLC media player so benefits from all its flexibility and performance.

Best rewind app I've used and I have tried A LOT. One thing I've just noticed when connected to my Bluetooth speaker (not sure if it is my speaker or the app causing it) is if I press the pause button, then I press play again the volume has gone down. If I skip back a few seconds it fixes it. Apart from that I'd give six stars if I could
The developers of this app must be from another planetππ ππ π€π€. So innovative and educational. It does not play videos alone it also has some links where you can learn. It is a perfect app for media playing. Please 1. Grant permission to write media not just read alone e.g. delete 2. Include a general search feature to ease the stress of manually searching across folders. I would hope for a feedback. What an app!!!!!! I was looking for a player with bookmark, I discovered this giant!!!
1. Need a dark theme !γThe white background is too bright to watch a video, while i want to take full control of speed / time, etc. !γ 2. Some mp4 files can't play. The file name that detected by your app is different from the name that is in my phone. Your app shows the old file name. But I changed the file name long before i install this app. Is this the reason why these files playback don't work ?
Seemed to work well when I tried to slow down only a section of a video (a clip, right?) but unless I missed something there was no option to save the clip as a new video file; just the option to export the clip information.
Wish for additional Speed buttons for Very Slow, Extra Slow, Very Fast, +, - for easier speed control. Wish for the lowest speed at 0.1x rather 0.25x only. Erroneously display subtitles which are shown suddenly and hid away at once intermittently. Subtitles are shown correctly in another video app. Wish for showing time bar in notification and playlist feature. Expect bookmarks backup & restore, and automatically fixed the same videos located in different file paths for the restored bookmarks.
Pretty nice app. I wish it has thumbnails for the videos. Its hard to find using only timestamps (name of the videos are normally just timestamps) and duration. Sorting by name of files means sorting by timestamp, so the most recent video ends up being at the end of the end of the list.
This app is excellent, I am studying the Thai language and it is perfect for learning I would highly recommend it, I have gladly paid for the paid version. Just one question to the developers is there any way to disable the sidebar as sometimes it comes on when I don't need it, otherwise this a top app
I found the variable speed feature very useful for learning, and the configurable jump amount is also good. It can play media from my downloads, which is a surprisingly rare feature.
Great app for dictating and adding notes and comments to video timeline. If you need a video player to use for studying for example a multi-chapter video series and you need to take notes this is a perfect player great for studying for exams certifications tests Etc only thing is missing is a zoom function
This is the app I had been looking for. This is the most feature-rich, bug-free A-B repeat app in the Android platform with very little memory consumption. I was so happy that I purchased the Pro version. Thanks to the maker(s).
Great app but poor without backup. If reinstalled all bookmarks get lost. Not having any local folder for storing bookmarks or at least take backup. Lost all previous bookmarks upon reinstalling. Edit :I mean isn't there a Expore feature to keep backups.

Good use. One thing they can improve is to allow us to save the edited clips as separate media files.
I use this app for my music lessons, helps me repeat parts in the video with ease... Love this app makes learning easy!
Great app! does everything it says that it does, and it does it well! The developer really takes into consideration the improvements you suggest, and brings it forth promptly! Kudos for that!
Doesn't save the AB repeat after you close it. I'm so tired of installing AB repeat players that don't save the repeat - what good is that?
The only app I tried so far with the features I want in the free version, and well implemented on top of that.
Add audio focus ignore AND fix issue with audio media playing in background not working (no music playing and no notification shown)
SCAM! lots of promised features, but nothing works other than the most basic, until you P A Y for the Pro version - stay away!!!

Excellent media player, very well thought out and designed, with so many options available, there should be something for everyone, simple and easy to use. In addition the developer offers an extended free trial for the pro version to evaluate the app thoroughly, although it is perfectly usable in the free version, but the cost of the pro version is almost a give away price! Also the developer is very pro active, so id in doubt ask!
