App syncs once with the watch when initially setting it up, which tells me that it WILL sync.. but then never wants to after that.. Annoying, frustrating and time consuming trying to get it to play ball.. Disappointing. I want to like the watch, but not being able to use its functionality is disappointing. (did I get enough negative words in there?)
I had this watch and everything worked ok. Watch got destroyed, have second of the same watch. Now it won't sync! I've wasted an hour trying everything possible. Now bluetooth, no nfc, no watch controls. As basic as the app is, it was the point of replacing my broken watch with the same exact one. Now i've even lost months of saved works outs and daily goals. Very unhappily.
Brand new watch, loaded the app, went through the setup routine finally get a message that the watch battery power is too low for it to sync...... WHAT? Update April 2022. Had a new battery fitted in the watch, managed to sync with the app, worked for 2 days then got the same message about battery power being too low to sync. I have to conclude that either the watch or the app (or both) are simply rubbish.
The Metropolitan watch is great, I absolutely love it. But the app and Bluetooth sync are orrible .... Please do something, I have to cross my finger everytime hoping it will work, but mostly of the time it doesn't ๐ it make me CRAZY guys ๐
It syncs data from the watch fine but now the app crashes right after syncing, or even after about 30 seconds of viewing stats. I need to disconnect and often forget my Bluetooth speaker for a successful sync. Would 5 star if these issues are fixed.
App asks you if you want to sync with Google Fit. However, in the one week that I have used it, it has failed to do so on every single day. When trying to do it manually on the Timex app, it wipes my Google Fit data to zero. This app is trash.
Brand new watch, out of the box... Syncing to set up and cannot complete - the battery needs replacing before I can do anything else? Really Timex, kinda crappy. Cannot even begin to enjoy the watch.
I couldnt even select my watch (IQ+move). pressing that option crashed the app every time. Thankfully i was able to return the watch, but Im disappointed because timex seems to be the only one to produce backlit ones.
I don't think the Bluetooth problem is with the App, I think it's the watch. NFC (Near Field Communication) works fine. Have a dig around your system settings for NFC ๐
Terrible app. The idea and watch are great. Watch is Bluetoothed to my phone but refuses to connect anymore to the app. Totally disappointed! I prefer the mechanical watch and the leather band, but the app is horrible!!! Wasted my money in this watch!!!
Awful. Will not connect at all during set up and no useful troubleshooting. For the price point of the watch this is truly pathetic.
App always crashes and causes interference with other Bluetooth devices. Watch is nice but not worth the trouble with the app.
I have used the Timex Metropolitan for two years. The best description I can come up with is dysfunctional. I have been fighting with it all of 2019. It's time for me to override my stubborn Irishness and stop fooling with it.
Doesn't connect to watch and last updated in 2018. Regretted buying watch due to Timex lack of commitment to product.
Absolutely useless, this app doesn't work at all. I just regret, that I wasted money on the watch.
Total garbage, never syncs. You think a big company like Timex would fix this?
Beautful watch , will not sync anymore, too much time dealing with it
Wont sync with my watch and customer support is just giving me the round around
Keeps crashing when using NFC. Please fix!
This app is complete garbage unless you can sync your watch
Watch is great but Bluetooth and app are disgusting.
Works with my Galaxy S7 but not with my OnePlus 6, is a shame.
Cool idea but syncing is impossible!!!!
Good Watch...But when it comes to syncing ;๐ค๐ค
Hi. Why can't I configure the Run X 50+ model in the app?
Useless. Will not sync.
Fitness app does not work unable connect from phone 50x out OF date waste of money do Not BY this Watch you have been warned
This app is honestly garbage. The sync feature takes a bunch of attempts to work, and even then it's hit or miss. Sometimes you just have to give up and try a day or two later and cross your fingers. The only trick I've found that works with any sort of regularity is turning both the phone and watch off and back on, and then attempting to sync. Doing that gives you about a 1 in 10 chance of working. Awesome watch, total garbage app.
