Great app but really needs to allow a smaller safe zone!! Its current smallest radius is over 1-2 blocks!!! I want to be alerted closer to home not 2 blocks away!!! Not to mention the delayed alert time of every 3 mins. What if they ran out into the busy street or if there's a pond nearby... needs to fixed ASAP!!! As for people who are setting up for the first time make sure to turn it on and charge it to 100% battery. Give it time to connect to the network and sort itself out. Setup is easy

App won't load or open. No matter how much trouble shooting I do. Nothing is wrong with my phone as it is updated to 8.1 version and uses other apps with ease. My daughter is able to send/ receive messages , calls & voice recordings from other managing family members phones except my phone. T-mobile trouble shot my phone & found it was up to date with 7.8 GB to spare...yet this watch I paid in full won't work for the primary parent. I cannot afford to lose the value of this watch.☹

App is terrible! When trying to set everything up it kept telling me the QR code the watch was displaying was incorrect! Took at least 3 tries on every step of setup to get it to register. Once done, the app is PAINFULLY SLOW with pages buffering for a minute or more - only to find out that sometimes it goes to the page and sometimes it doesn't. Needs a LOT of work. Update: less than 8 hours of wearing the watch and the tilt to wake has stopped working. 🤬

The tracking sleep feature doesn't always work. Twice last week it failed to track even being in bed. I tried to access the app and couldn't log in. I have requested a reset link by email numerous times but am not receiving the email, although I'm notified it has been sent...and yes, I have checked my spam/junk folder. I uninstalled the app to try and start over but received a message the account already exists. Very frustrating.

This Seniors watch works for me ...I have early stage dementia, as well as I tend to fall...and my niece will know when I fall...or need help....and even I can figure it out....really wish that the keyboard was bigger, perhaps the type of left and right typing as in Google look to speak app...would be much more easy to text... and only need 4 quadrants on screen....just an 💡 idea

Was working the last month until now. Since may 1 the location has been stuck in one spot. I've tried everything the Internet said to try except resetting the watch. Refresh, etc.... Doesn't work.

I absolutely love this watch. I wanted to be able to get in touch with my son, but he is too young to have a phone. This watch is perfect. I don't have to worry about him losing it because it is right on his wrist. I don't have to worry about him breaking it because it stays on his wrist. I can message & call him & he can message & call me. Only people that he connects with on the app can contact him & vice versa. I always know he is safe when using this app and watch. I would highly recommend.

Excited for a new gadget to learn. 2 days later, you can't reset the health things. Can't reset steps taken, so it started with over 4,000 steps. Can't reset or delete. I seem to have over 35,000 recent messages I can't delete.

Feeling of security...My preteen has ADHD, and this watch is perfect for our family. He wears it and can't forget it anywhere. It helps him with his growing independence. The location tracking helps us make sure he's remembered to go to the right places and helped us immensely one time he got lost walking home. The schedule function helps with reminders for after school activities. He enjoys the little games that are on it. Wishes: plain watch face option, water resistant for hand washing.

I like the application but would like to be able to use it on a wifi tablet for administration and health tracking. Also should be able to program 911 as a number you can call with the SOS button. Ideally it would dial 911 and the guardians.

Well love to try the app but apparently i fudged setting up the pass, it wont let me log in and wont send me an email to reset the pass. It is correct email and same one i signed up with. In fact if i try to sign up again, it says email in use. but when ever i say reset, it never sends an email and no its not in spam or junk or anything. And you cant just reset again, it just says reset still valid please check email or wait.... which i have been doing and doing and doing. im just going to return this retarded watch i never wanted in the first place.

The app worked great and then all of a sudden things stopped working? Like the " Safe Zones" always say ERROR now, they won't even show up, I can't add a safe zone, and I can't delete a safe zone. That seems like an important thing you want to work within the app?? What's wrong with it?

For the past week, the watch hasn't been able to make calls nor receive them. I try refreshing via the app, and it states there is no connection and didn't respond. I even tried restarting the app and watch and still nothing. I guess it's time to throw this thing in the trash and buy a real phone. Such a waste and disappointment. Would give negative stars if I could.

As a basic app it is ok, but very weak. No menu options for notification sounds, can only have one primary (there are still some two parent homes). The email set up is not very clear. You need to be sure to go back to the original email to complete the set up. Would also be much better if it went through normal text app as opposed to the proprietary app.

Overall, the app is off to a good start, but a few improvements are needed, particularly with the messaging. Biggest complaint I have is that when tapping message notifications on your phone screen, the app doesn't take you straight to the message. Instead you have to navigate through the app to find the message you just received. There's also no indicator showing you which chat has unread messages. Within the app, you also can't tap a notification to take you to a new message. Please fix!

Really happy. I was refusing to get a phone for my Little 9 years old, but we can't go against the technology. Is excellent simple to set up ( in minutes), attractive to them because is really basic and easy to operate, they don't have access to Internet, just calls and messages from people you allow to do it!.. much better than those offer at Amazon, (those are a nightmare to set up!.). Let's see what happen with durability !. But overall apparently is really good quality

Well, off the bat, I'm a little skeptical. There's not a tablet version available, which is concerning since I am more often watching shows in my tablet or have it nearby while my phone is charging in the corner. Often I have that handy as I'm using it for a hotspot or some browsing / gaming, as the larger screen is preferable. I'm going to continue forward with the phone-only limitations and see how things work out. This is our first foray with the kid's smartwatch, so I'm hoping that the functionality of the device will outweigh the limitations of the app.

Watch is pretty good. App needs help.. GPS goes pretty crazy at times. The other day the watch showed my son swimming in a canal. I like the idea of the tasks and rewards function. I'd use it every day if there was an option for recurring tasks. My kids have tasks that are recurring (chores etc). It's not user-friendly to need to input it every day. There is an option for recurring reminders, but you can't award stickers or rewards.

Slow to update my child's location. Notification on where she is sometimes takes hours (or even the next day) after she has arrived or left location. Active tracking does not automatically start up when she is on the move, nor does it start when I choose the option in the app. Try to choose "Update Location", that doesn't work. App worked well when I initially purchased the watch in October 2019, but not much since December. Text and call features work as expected.

Updated review: The watch was a major hassle to get paired with my phone during setup. After 3 hours of trouble shooting with support and dozens of attempts it finally worked out. The watch's interface is easy for my 6 year old to use. We're still having some issues with the GPS randomly glitching out and showing my son in random locations 5-10 miles away even when he's home, which defeats the entire purpose of the device.

We started with TickTalk and that didn't go well. Switched to this device and so far so good for location tracking & calling. One problem is that the app menu on dad's phone doesn't show the school mode, safe zones, and other menu items that show on mom's phone in the app. Will have to watch battery consumption, too, since that seems to go pretty quickly.

NOW I'M STUCK WITH WATCH!!! However, smart choice for locating and messaging your kids when it works! Watch is not well built. My 11 year old was running home in the rain, watch had very little water exposure, now watch has issues with the touch screen causing intermittent use at best. So not happy with quality at all, especially since it's to protect my kids! My parents had an issue with the initial app setup, but once it was operational, they had no issues.

Overall like this app and watch for being able to keep in touch with kids. Lately have been getting notifications about receiving messages, but after opening the app there aren't any messages for me. The app notifies me wherever our child sends a message saying it's for me, whether it is or not. Would be nice to have the option to assign 2 parents for parental controls. Not a fan of having to have email addresses assigned to contacts.

After a couple of days, I still haven't been able to connect this app to the watch. The watch has updated and so has the app, but still no pairing. Without that connection, the watch is useless. I've been on the phone with both T-Mobile and Timex support already, but the best I've gotten is "we'll call you when we figure it out." I'd recommend holding out for a while until they get the bugs worked out. Update: the app and watch finally paired. Now we'll wait to see what real-world usage is like.

App/ Watch functionality is not as expected. The app keeps changing the setting to check location to 15 mintues which drains the battery faster. The watch already has poor battery life. I understand that the app can't update the location unless an increment of time is set: every 15, 30, 45, 50 min. In my opinion this is a poor concept. Would be better to check based on a specified time in accordance with a set schedule. This would prevent unnecessary battery drainage. Not satisfied.

I thought this was a great way to keep in contact with my daughter incase of emergencies. The service started off great too.Unfortunately, this is the 3rd time the watch does not turn on. The app shows the last location and battery life is good. Even TMobile dsnt seem to fix the problem. However 1 way Timex can improve is on the text messaging. Is it necessary to have the contacts download the app.

I love the app and watch, however it sometimes takes up to 15 minutes to recieve a text message alert from the watch to the app. Also all contacts should be allowed to send text messages not just make phone calls to the device. Only Guardians can send and recieve text messages from the watch not all contacts and this is fairly annoying.

This worked great for the first week. Now it rarely will connect to the watch to refresh the location. The watch is in a t mobile service area because it has worked at his school before. I even tested it to make sure it was connected right before walking into school, it was and then I tried to send a message 30 minutes later and the watch won't respond. For this price I would expect it to last longer than 1 month. It is also poorly made, the metal part of the watch band has broken 2 times.

There are a couple of glitches. My child's location is not updating every 15 minutes. After a lack of update in location, once the location updates, there is no history during the missing timeframe. There is no option for me to edit the notification sound settings for the application on my phone thus only vibrating to alert me. As a suggestion for a added function, possibly using real time satellite images for tracker in emergency situation.
