What are the requirements for a customer to have a Timiza Account?
• Be a registered Safaricom Subscriber.

Who is eligible for a Timiza Loan?
In order to qualify for a loan, you need to be an M-PESA subscriber for more than 6 months, actively use other Safaricom services such as voice, data and M-PESA. You will also need to have a good rating at the Credit Reference Bureau [CRB] and by Safaricom on Okoa Jahazi.
What are the features of the Timiza Loan?
• If you qualify, your loan limit will be displayed when you log in to your Timiza account and you can borrow.
• Timiza Loan attracts an interest charge of 1.083% charged once and a facilitation fee of 5% of the amount borrowed for a term of 30 days.
• Loan is disbursed to the Customer’s Timiza account (not directly to M-PESA). The Customer will access the funds by withdrawing from Timiza to M-PESA
• To grow your loan limit:
a. Increase activity on your TIMIZA Account by transacting on other services offered on Timiza. For example, Deposit cash, Purchase airtime, Pay your utility bills, Subscribe to Insurance.
b. Open and Increase savings on your Zidisha savings account on Timiza
c. Increase usage of M-PESA services

Horrible! I did not reachig timiza where I could borrow. They just show error message indicating that I have entered incorrect details. I don't understand why and how. One cannot be able to reset the password since you have to answer security question, which was not registered. Meaning there is no reseting password. Horrible horrible experience with you.
Don't try this app if you value your money and need an efficient way to access. I Had an emergency, tried to access savings I had. App keept on sending me a notification that there's no internet, but internet connection was OK. Even the customer service reps didn't know whether there was an issue till I kept on emphasising eventually they confirmed there was an issue with the app after loosing airtime now I have to use USSD at an extra cost of 2ksh per message
Great app low interest but very poor customer care service. We have been in a great relationship. Until yesterday when i paid early and they forgot about me and said i have no loan limit. It is very disappointing. They also have no toll free number, and they put you on hold for a long time.
The app has been of great help before the transition from Barclays to Absa. I updated the app this month after paying my loan and when I tried to apply again the only reply i get is, " we are unable to process you loan request this time, all other Timiza services are available" So dissappointing at a time like this. I even send emails and was told there are issues with loan limits but will be resolved as soon as possible. Till now story still the same.
Application is inaccessible once you have registered on it. Keeps crashing and you cannot get past the login page. I guess the general plan is for guys to use "the ussd" option as it has a cost attached to it.
I installed it and created account. I came to forget the log in pin and when I try to reset it, it subjects me to contact the helpline that ends up consuming a lot of credit with no help eventually. I wish the password reset was automatic and self rebiable like other apps.
Am new to this mobile loan apps and I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone. To begin with, loading the app takes eons. Secondly, once I am through, progressing beyond the "secret questions" part. Thirdly, my partner got a loan application in. 6 weeks later, no approval as they are still "processing" it. So, find another app and avoid wasting your time with this one.
Their app is very poor...like you can't use it on an android phone where the app is installed, if your handset for the app phone is different....so sending the activation code to my handset which is not android, can't allow me to fill the code on the android phone... Very poor app...talk to your developer if you are a capable company like other apps...otherwise this shows incompetence...
It has fixed some of the previous bugs. Now it runs better less delays and hangs. Affordable intrerest rate good experience. Though maybe they should offer a longer loan period like 3 months..just a thought
The app is very poor. This is my third month but I keep getting notification of verification of detail failed. I have tried communicating to the customer support but there is no help. If I could,I would have given zero star. I'm so frastrated.
Used to be an awesome app but after the new update it crushs after login making it unusable. Not sure if it's an Android 10 support issue or it's across all versions. UPDATE: It now works well like before, thank you for the update.
Good at giving loans, good interest rates and transaction charges. Poor customer services where your a lied to directly in your face. No follow up on any issues raised. Loan limit never increase despite having good CRB rating and paying off loans in time (My limit has been Ksh. 1300 for about 2½ years now). Want you to use other services they off which are very expensive and unreliable. Made savings but lost money in the process, followed up but with no success.
I have been using it and it works very well for me, though they charge for sending the money into your mpesa but thats not bad. Its a savior, compared to othet apps that never credit the money but demand loan to be paid that you never received!. Timiza is great. Thank you guys so much.
Generally a good App but it could be better; if timely loan qualification is looked into. The delays in giving another loan after a client has paid the previous one is very frustrating.
Timiza is a good for and it is accessible anytime.. But am having a problem with your app. Over 4 months now I have been paying more money than am supposed to pay. You promise to credit the excess amount of money unfortunately it was not credited. A total of ksh.5415.How do i get my money to my account. Kindly assist if u can
Okay been five stars all along. But upon paying my last loan which was on time av been denied a loan limit which I cant understand why. Contacted customer support & was told to wait up to two days but still nothing has changed. Now am stuck as this has been my best lending app all along & I cant find any help now. My wish is you kindly restore my limit.
This is my problem, the fact that I can get my reset code simply coz I'm away from kenya. My safaricom simcard can only get SMS. I can't call customer care as it should be. I've tried verifying myself through tweeter and email more so calling customer care by the number that I have here. Customer service is poor! They don't understand! How can I just all over sudden drop from my loan limit to zero seriously. This app has been good but recently it's just soooo frustrating. Its taking forever to load and when it does all you say is that I do not have a loan limit . Yet I've been paying my loans on time.
The best app ever, It has never given me any technical issues, Disbursement is quicker than any other banks and the interest rate is very low considering other apps charge like 10% to 20% but Timiza only charges 5%. Thank you Timiza for making the difference.
The best lending app I have ever used. They don't text or call you all the time even when your repay back time has not expired like the others I know. Plus good their lending rates
Has been good but you need to upgrade your app, since i started using the app in 2018 and paying on time the loan limit is always 1400,,,,, worst of it is that i repaid my loan and its now one week Timiza have not acknowledged receipt of the money,,, and they are again reminding me to pay again,,,, please check on that
This was a very nice service until the change from Barckays to ABSA. All I get nowadays is "Hi AYOMA,we are unable to process your loan request at this time. All the other Timiza services are available. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for choosing Timiza. #Staysafe." What's going on?

It was good before but now the app both mobile and online are too slow to generate the payments and also slow at giving you another loan, something is very wrong with absa system needs improvement
Timiza has been good for the past many months, serving me with my loans and me repaying even way earlier before the deadline. Recently, just like that, my loan limit reduced to zero from 10k, with no apparent reason. Customer care are just there like nothing is happening. No communication whatsoever. My advice, install but get ready to be disappointed.
I paid my loan yesterday which was due today and after some struggle from the app i bet the system had some issues only after completion my loan limit went to nil. I even called only to be told the upgrade of the system will be done by midnight till now..very frustrating and diminishing and heartwrecking.
There was an acc registered with my ID and a diff number that's now been deactivated. I can't change the number and if I delete that account, I can't register another one. Basically, this app is of no use to me so I'll just go ahead and uninstall and have them delete that account. Customer service was of no use on the issue when I called them.
