Tinc GUI

Tinc is an open source peer to peer VPN daemon. Find more information at http://www.tinc-vpn.org.
Tinc GUI for Android is a (slightly modified) cross-compiled version of tincd, associated with a basic GUI for daemon management.

Root access is highly recommended for correct tinc daemon usage (no success has been reported on non-rooted device until now).

I've never used a better VPN client, ever. It's amazing and the auto reconnect feature is AWESOME!

I'm amazed in how easy was to set up! It requires root and previous knowledge in how tinc works, once you reproduce the configuration files it does the job pretty well.

Since 1.1pre adds chacha20, it would be nice if you packaged it :)

Works great but for some reason it cannot resolve hostnames to IP addresses so forced to manually type in the IP each time the hosts changes it

Would be great if you can package up the newer version of tinc!

So much better than OpenVPN. Works perfectly and is super fast.

Great to have this ported to Android and to see that it is being maintained. Dev very responsive in my experience. Could still do with some more documentation/help/FAQs related specifically to errors on Android.

Love this app, got my phone connected to my VPN in no time, set up the tinc.conf and hosts folder via adb push and adb shell. I've currently got my conf files (including private key) stored on the sdcard, which is obviously a security risk, where should I store it where it would persist through flashing roms?

IT's better than OPENVPN speed very fast

I just got into TINC and haven't got it working properly YET but i got first error and i sent an email to dev which i got response after 5 min with the fix :) How awesome is that!!!? Anyway if you get error like: Could not open /dev/net/tun: No such file or directory Quote "You can simply add the following line to your configuration file: Device = /dev/tun"

Works great. Easy to create the config on your pc and copy it over to the phone's sd card. Don't forget to add the newly created ScriptsInterpreter config value mentioned on the developer's web site.
