Tingles ASMR - Relaxing & Soothing Sleep Sounds

I downloaded this app back when it wasn't a subscription based app and thought it was great. I stopped using it for no real reason and when I came back to it all of the sudden almost everything was locked until you pay a ridiculous supscription fee. I still use it but the extreme limitations gets old fast.

The app is pretty cool. BUT there is no way to exit a video as far as I can see. Which is pretty stupid. There is also a glitch where paused a video while it was miniminzed, then tried to start it again. It started for half a second then stopped. i pressed the play button again, then the video started for half a second, then stopped. pls fix this. Other than that, the app seems like it'll make it a lot easier to find some good triggers and asmrtists.

Update 5/20/21: Even after getting premium and all this time, the app still has less functionality than before. No improvements. Tingles has gone to pot after the update. Can't follow artists, can't loop audio/video, can't make playlists. There's a premium version but there's nothing in the app that tells you what you get or what it is. Or even how to get it! I only know it exists because of an email. I guess I'll go back to ripping YouTube audio.

Used this app for almost 3 years at this point. Although it pushed it's premium, it wasn't bad. One issue was that most basic functions like playlists were not available for free but... App was convenient and I would sub/donate occasionally. Now nearly every video is behind a paywall. It really is too bad, but it just isn't worth it now. 1 star, lost loyal customer, and I am literally never going to look back for this app. Even if they revert stuff, I don't really care. They never have for sure.

This app doesn't want you to use it. More accurately, it has recently been updated so that no content can be accessed for free. The push for Tingles Premium is nothing new - of course it isn't, they have to make money somehow - but now it is worse. Before an update (the most recent, I believe) much of the contact could be accessed. Features like ad removal, 3+ playlist w/ 3+ videos, and some category access was restricted to premium. Now to play ANY video a subscription is required. User lost.

Basic functionality is locked behind a pay wall. Almost every option in the app is unavailable unless you subscribe. I understand wanting to make money from your project, but the services being offered are not worth the price point, especially because it's a monthly fee. The app is missing tons of artists who's videos are free elsewhere. If the cost was adjusted and more content was available, I could see this app being worthy of a much better rating.

I like the features, but the pricing for the premium subscription is absolutely ridiculous. It costs just as much as YouTube, which would give me much more features. I don't really think the app offers enough for the premium to cost as much as it does. That said, being able to lock your phone is really nice. I'm quite glad that it IS a free feature. If the premium was less costly I might consider subscribing.

Terrible. I've had this app for years. It has helped me sleep every day for years and then all of a sudden puts a huge pay wall on everything. Not to mention the update! I dealt with the pay wall, but I kept getting notifications saying, "Don't get locked out! The version you have is unsupported! Blah blah blah" so I updated it and it's completely different. TERRIBLE user interface. Where are all the artists I follow?? This used to be 100% the best ASMR app. Now it's no better than YouTube.

I do not like the new update! As a paying customer, I lost my playlists and the ability to list videos in order & to repeat a video. This new look/update is confusing & complicated. Before the update I absolutely LOVED the app. I had certain asmr videos from a playlist I'd fall asleep to at night and another playlist for when I work and Study. At one point I highly recommended the app to others I know personally. Not any more! I emailed them yesterday and have yet to receive a response.

This app went straight down hill. It used to be great. The interface was wonderful. Now I can't create playlists, can't follow artists, can't do pretty much anything and I pay for this app to get the extra features and videos. I got lifetime at a steep discount so i went for it and now i completely regret it. Change this app back to how it was. I'm so dissatisfied and disappointed with what was an amazing experience beforehand. Why would they wreck their whole design just to implement trash?

The features like playing in the background, saving videos, and favouriting ASMRtists are really nice and unique to this app, but you have to pay for almost everything. You can only watch the last three videos of an ASMRtist for free and videos in your library will expire, leaving you with an extremely limited window to watch the videos that you save. The idea/concept of it is great but in reality, the app doesn't give you very much without membership/purchase. It's a lot cheaper to use YouTube.

There are several good features about this app (for example, the ability to background the video without interrupting the audio) but for me these are overshadowed by its flaws. the sleep timer does bugger-all-- or rather, it shows you a countdown of the time left, but doesn't actually make the video so playing when time is up. There is no easy to turn off autoplay, either, so the app ends up running ALL NIGHT. These are considerable flaws in an app specifically designed to help people sleep.

They have removed most of the good features in this app. I pay for premium and even there most of the features are gone. There used to be a great feature where you could follow artists and see all the most recent videos on your home screen. That's gone. You have to go to individual artist screens now, and even then you get a "popular" order and no way to see most recent videos. It's so frustrating to use now. But I've already paid for lifetime premium when it was good.

Used to be a fantastic app, but since the 'redesign' it is absolute garbage. If using the free version of the app, you can only watch recommended videos, so I thought I'd try the paid version, and it isn't any better, it only shows you popular videos from artists, whereas you used to be able to find videos by new, it automatically adds videos from any random artist you may have watched to your popular artists. A complete step in the wrong direction.

I paid for a subscription specifically for playlists. Other stuff was convenient, but playlists were the big draw. I have insomnia, especially waking up & not falling back asleep quickly. Asmr helps me fall asleep, white noise helps me stay/fall back asleep, but I need it to turn off to wake up in the am, & sleep timer never works right. Now the app has been "upgraded", can't make playlists, so what's the point? Also can't see video descriptions. Cancelled and deleted. YouTube Premium it is.

Very disappointing experience. For something meant to bring calm and relaxation, this was one of the more frustrating experiences I have had. Finding a good ASMR video is hard enough without being penny pinched at every corner. I opened the app and have 2 ASMRtists recommended to me, which is fine, I'm sure they are great but they aren't for me. And I can't change the artist, there's no FAQ in app, the for you section has all the artists you can't watch without paying.

I usually love this app but for the last few months it hasn't functioned properly. The videos stop before they're done and when I open the app again the play button isn't clickable so I have to exit the video and restart it if I want to continue. Alternatively, sometimes a video will show me nothing but a black screen if I minimize the app for a minute and then go back to it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and that didn't work and there are no updates so I'm at a loss for what to do.

Have been using this app every single night for months. It had a great selection of triggers with the ability to add videos to a liked section that could make a decent playlist. The search function was always a little off and there were some services and videos that required premium but mostly it was free. Now everything is locked. Will be jotting down artist names and going back to YouTube again. If I could rate 0 stars I would, such a disappointing shift.

This app is absolutely amazing. There is something for everyone and there is no ads! I do not have premium but it still amazing. Except that when watching a video、after a few minutes、the video go black and it looks like it's paused but you can't tap to unpause it yet you can still hear it. I can usually fix it by going to the home screen and back on again、but it is annoying because you miss part of the video and my half asleep self can't be bothered to move. Otherwise I would recommend it 🤗

Used this app nightly for well over a year. It had many features available only for premium members, but still a good selection for those who were not. In one update, the layout changed and almost every video was locked behind the premium pay wall. They are certainly allowed to do as they please with their app, but I'm afraid they'll lose many listeners. Ads would probably have been a better way to go to generate income from non-paying listeners.

It's a shame, really. I loved this app for well over a year. Used it nightly even. But with the most recent update and "redesign", not only have they made the app inaccessible by making it difficult to navigate and find the artists you used to follow, they've also put 90% of the content behind a paywall. Which I won't pay for, because 95% of all its content is recycled youtube videos on an ad-free player. I can get the same experience on youtube with an adblocker. Sorry. A good thing ruined.

The app was great and I'd been using it for more than a year because I have trouble falling asleep. Now every video is locked up behind a paywall that requires premium membership to be able to view originally free content. If I have to put up with ads to avoid having to pay for something that has been uploaded for free, I'm going back to YouTube.

I like it... But really not being able to at least have the free playlist to repeat itself.. is kind of a joke for an App that doesn't have a very a very large catalog of artists. I was considering paying the outrageous subscription price, but that really threw me off.. there's a better app out there, that even though it's been abandoned.. is still better then this one. Peace.
