Tiny Scanner Pro: PDF Doc Scan

I have tried many different scanners for Android phone. This one is simply the best. Imports from camera, exports to Dropbox, Google Drive, email, WhatsApp, and many other apps. I was so pleased with the free version that I purchased the paid version and it is totally worth the price.

This would have been a 5 star rated app for me if it had settings to reduce the resolution and file size scanned documents. A tiny receipt is still .5MB in size, when multipled by thousands of scanned documents, is too much data to store in my cloud drive. Also, the app does not name scanned files sequentially with date stamp and time stamp but names them with same scan date and (n) like a duplicate file would show up. The file size and sequential naming need to be implemented.

I have the Pro version of this app, but it won't allow me to edit or convert any scanned documents. What is happening, has it been downgraded or do you expect annual payment, please can I know what is going on. It used to be able to do everything which prompted me to buy the Pro version, but after sometime it has lost all those features.

This is an excellent scanning app. I didn't feel like spending hundreds of dollars on a scanner when I was getting rid of my paper records so I used this instead. I'd say it's naturally less efficient than a physical scanner because you need to frame up the doc in the camera and adjust edges, but again, much lower cost. I've had no issues with quality. Great buy.

The good, it's a great little scanner, really very very good. The not so good, the “free” version is a 3 scan demo, hardly “free”. Secondly the folder system is awkward, I'm sure the developer thinks it's fine, now I know to make a folder first, before scanning, it is a breeze but getting my first 3 scans in a folder after scanning was not at all intuitive. Overall, I'm very happy with my small investment, a good step toward paperless-news for me.

Amazing! This will be so much faster than the scanner i have at home. I have to manually flip the paper over on the scanning glass, and click scan on my computer, and upload a seperate PDF or JPEG for each page. I like that I can attach multiple pages in one file. The colour editing tool is great, it would be nice if you could fine tune it more to your liking instead of set contrast/colour setting on the buttons. Otherwise this is a great app!! I think it will be worth the money.

Reliable app & customer service. I've been using it successfully on my Android device for about 2 years prior to covid. Use it daily for work. Recently changed phones and contacted them about getting the pro version without paying again and they responded in a few days with a code to download it for free and how to transfer my files over. Someone else mentioned they are not able to adjust the point at which they want they page to begin and end but I haven't had that issue.

Over all a solid app. Nocking 2 stars off for being misled and lacking in some features. I was told via email that when purchased it would have the option to import pdf files. This seems to be incorrect. Disappointing. Also please think about adding a middle control in the cropping lines to drag the whole line straight at one time. Then the corners can be used for small adjustments. Thanks I will be happy to update my review if I'm wrong.

Decided to buy the pro version since limited to how many docs you can have at a time. It was pretty useful. Take a picture. It does its best to auto detect the corners of the document but can easily be adjusted later. Also easy to put multiple pages into a single document. One more thing there is also backup with Google Drive and can opt for color or b/w. Do recommend at least for school, especially at these times with online courses.

Great quality but falls behind competitors in two places: There is no auto-crop all pages functionality in batch mode (brutal if you have several scanned pages), you have to go through and apply auto cropping to each page individually. It also doesn't allow the user to change the name of the batch file once saved, making file organization difficult.

This is a great app for creating pdf files from scans.. With tools such as rotating the pages for proper display, and also for reordering the pages to your desired order. Two big problems (1) after you reorganize the pages/pictures, you have to then select them all in the proper order and then copy or move them to "new document" to keep the order you established. (2) you cannot browse by file/folder to get to specific files/pictures only, making it difficult to combine old and new scans.

first time ive ever needed a scanner and this app fits the bill perfectly. Easy to use it automatically changes your photo (scan) into black and white and eliminates any cast shadows. however, you have the choice to change back from black and white print to photo. single scan or bulk scan its brilliant in its simplicity and ease of use. I use it in conjunction with Dropbox. sooo easy to transfer and share files.

The free version of this comes with a lot of great features, and at first I purchased this just to support the makers of an already fantastic app. That said, the "Email Me" feature has been a great time saver for me, and this is my go-to way to scan documents even though I have a physical scanner at home. The ability to crop out edges easily is also very useful, and the image rescaling makes PDFs from angled photos look perfectly straight. Really a top-notch app.

Have loved this little app since I first stumbled across it a year ago. Faultless. Easy to use once I figured out its needs! Like, it needs me to just be patient while learning it! Really, this app is a delight and I recommend it highly. I am not associated with the developers in any way but I do give credit where it is due. And this program has helped keep me and my time sheets and docs organised! everything is in one spot and easy to rename!. easy change brightness and sizing. Thanks

The best scanner app in the Play Store for everything hands down. Does everything I need a more. This is the easiest, most professional looking way to scan and send pdf's, etc. It is not the same when you simply take a picture of your document with your camera app. Please don't do this. Tons of great features that are simple and easy to use! One of the most useful apps tgat I have ever purchased I just love this app so much and use it often. There is nothing I would change or add -so for!

Any working professional that uses a scanner or fax machine needs to reassess their work flow. Not only does this app work perfectly, but the amount of time saved trying to find one of the aforementioned machines is invaluable. Thanks to the team and devs working on this. Been using it for over four years and upgrading to the Pro version was a no-brainer.

Overall amazing BUT missing 2 core simple features. If you take a picture of the file you can't manually select the edges (that's only available on selected images) and you can't change the contrast (again only available on selected images). Why would this super helpful feature be removed from batch or photo taking situations?! The automatic edge detection and contrast detection is generally good but sometimes gives terrible automatic edges that I can't manually adjust. Please add that into all photo abilities, using the camera or not.

It's a nice app that's worth the purchase of the pro version. I haven't even got to use all the full functions yet because it covers all of my basic needs. I've needed an scanning app to store important documents that I shred, and now I'm also starting to use it for storing receipts as well. It's a versatile way of keeping your documents organized with good export features.

Editing review because around 9/20/20 +/- scanned files no longer will save the name of the file that we rename it to. It changes back to the default date name. The app still works ok other than that, and I'm still able to email the file, but there's now extra work after emailing the file to rename it. Emailed the developers on 9/24 and have not yet heard back. Doesn't sound like a huge deal deal, but it's cumbersome for my child to turn in her homework. Especially since this is the pro version.

Just switched from an iPhone to Android and I miss the iPhone version. It would remember your preference for batch vs single page, if you were doing a batch it let you review the edge boundaries immediately after you were finished taking pictures instead of having to go back after and try and fix them, the edge detection worked better, and in one of the latest updates they added a feature where you could move the boundary for the whole side of the page instead of having to move each corner.

The scan quality has degraded. After taking the scan the picture becomes blurred. The file becomes illegible after the scan. But other scanning apps working perfectly fine. I am using the paid version of the app. But i have hardly seen any updates or debugging in the recent times.

The app generally good. Missing the center tap point for parallel line adjustment as the free version and when the dots tap points are half size at top/bottom in the screen it can be hard to pick up with the finger (if this fixed I would raise to 4 stars) Missing ability to use torch as alternative to flash having a tendency to create 'glare' where torch at low light you can compensate for potential glare from the docs you scan. (if the ability to use torch is added I would raise to 5 stars)

Really good app for business travelers - only things keeping it being great: 1.) User Interface isn't alway intuitive ... meaning you might have to play with it several times before getting what you ultimately want (i.e. change order of scans, adding slide/ edditing, ... etc) 2.) Should have an easy way for users to select size/ quality of PDF

This app has been such a lifesaver. Simple to use - you just take a photo of whatever you want to scan. You can adjust the size and dark/lightness after you take the photo. Multiple page documents can be saved as one file. Easily send files to email, text, Dropbox, Drive, etc.

Update: I Uninstalled app and sent an email for a refund. This app is not bad but doesn't fit my need. Originally 4 stars. Scans documents and receipt as I wanted. Even alloys you to add a signature to the document. You can not import PDF docs from your device or Google drive. So you have to take the pic with this app. Also doesn't allow sub folders. Not the worst but I need these things.

Best portable scanner on your phone! So convenient, you snap a picture of your document and it has an automatic grid for you to select if you want to crop, then color or B&W and then quality. A link to share to the world via your preferred message service or email. The best.
