Tinychat - Group Video Chat

I've noticed that using Google Chrome to run tinychat is a big improvement in performance. I'm not sure why, but for some reason, if you're using the tiny chat app, there is a huge performance decrease across the board. But specifically streaming. I've noticed audio is choppy, and video is also choppy if you're lucky enough for people's video feed show up at all. As I said before, if I use Google Chrome on the same device, tiny chat seems to work flawlessly. No video or audio feed issues.

So this app has been around for a very long time. You would think that they would have all their bugs and crashes figured out by now but nope. The app works very well until you get a captcha. When you get a captcha it always fails to load and then you have to delete the app and wait 2 months for it to work again. It is a good app overall but still needs a lot of work done to the scripting and other stuff as well to get the ultimate experience. I would have given a higher rating needs more work.

The video feeds load in and are perfect, unfortunately the audio is choppy and incoherent, which unfortunately makes this app useless. However, the audio issue is more likely related to me not having full mobile signal. *sigh* this app used to work flawlessly even on crappy mobile signals before it was bought out and crappily rehauled.

My android tablet does not like this app at all. It lags so much I can't understand anything anyone says. Edit: It happens all the time no matter how busy or what room. Also my camera flashes like it’s having a seizure. Edit: After trying to use the app on my Apple iPhone 8, I can't stay connected. I connect and then the app closes. I try again and can cam up then the app closes about a minute later.

The lag is terrible and this has been an ongoing issue for the longest. Now I can't even join any rooms, because (I'm thinking) of some glitch in the "confirming you're not a robot" screen. It just closes and sends me back to the main page. After all these years, you'd think TC fixed issues such as these... Disappointing.

The idea of the mobile is great but, its such a lag filled experience even with an updated smart phone or or when connected to the latest 5g network / wifi...the app has a lot of potential but you can just see the developer team just doesn't care.

I must admit, thier support email answered within minutes; but they pretended the issue with thier app was OK, and that, we as customers should pay them to fix it. Users have been freezing all day; and they asked ME to pay THEM to fix it! So, I sent an email, thinking they may have been unaware of the problem. When I said there was an issue with the cams freezing on the app, they said "right" and wanted money to make them work. Amazing, all the frozen videos whose audio I could hear - was true.

Over all it's a good app but there are 3 major issues. (1) While on WiFi, the broadcast camera hardly loads even after multiple tries. It keeps loading for ages. (2) Most of the YouTube videos doesn't play specifically on the app even if it plays when played on your website using integrated YouTube option. (3) When you just mic up using the app (just mic without cam) people on chrome cannot hear you. To fix this, the guy who is on mic through app needs to first turn on the camera for a second

Mobile app: Says large video is only available to subscribers please sign in. So I subscribed with email, sign in. Still Says that. Made a profile, etc. Still Says that. Also most video boxes are still pictures of static? It can't accept a profile picture from my phone cam either because they've put a 1mb cap on size! Seriously? its 2021, just shrink it serverside. Or in the app? The profile editor in mobile app is just an API for a webpage frame. Might as well just use chrome?

ReCaptcha not working, Galaxy S9+ on verizon network. Phone is updated, app has been reinstalled, and have tried multiple wifi networks. Anytime I join a room, the captcha closes immediately. Doesnt matter the room, or how many if any people are in it. I've contacted support, no solution was found.

Terrible app. Just navigate to the tinychat room you want in chrome and close the stupid popup telling you of this terrible non working app when it appears. You will have a much better experience. Tinychat, fix your app. Looking at other reviews shows me how out of touch the tinychat devs are. "Does the lag persist on a different version of Android OS?" Really? Let me just reboot my most likely boot loader locked phone into another version of Android. Or let me try it on my ten other phones.

Would be nice if they cared about their site.. even tc on browser takes a daily dump kicks all users and wont let you cam up. The app is no better.. after a minute the sync is off and half the people sound like robots.. I have a "OnePlus 7T pro Mclaren" my device is not the issue.. also having to wait minutes when I switch from wifi to data or vise versa because it thinks im trying to cam up twice is stupid lame.

Same as everyone. Non-functional app. "Update" Everyone has the same complain. endless captcha requests that get denied or not to be filled for some reason or other. Have tried using the same app in different devices, issue persist. From my preview most of the community are aware that the app is non-functional. Please feel free for any feedback requests 🙏

This app needs to be taken down and reworked... most users will find it much easier to use their web browser in desktop mode rather than use this app.. It is highly volatile and only barely works on wifi. No matter how well your cell phone data is it will likely lag in a room that is popular. Support is minimal and tinychat has no way of rewarding long time room owners and users for their part in keeping the site alive. They also charge for features that dont work.

I been trying for days to get into my account all it does is redirect me to the previous page. Which is annoying.. with the pandemic going on you would think that yall would fix this problem quicker than what you have.

Worked for an hour until it asked for captcha and then closed it automatically. Cant access any rooms any more, uninstalled and reinstalled. Same issue. Was looking forward to using this but I guess ill have to find some other platform.

App was great back in 2014...ever since then the app is garbage..cam will not load if too many are on cam. Chrome works great to use.. Please save your bs with the bs reply. You the app owners now dam well your app is garbage..pitiful..

Nothing loads when joining rooms. I just see an endless white noise for cams. Don't get the captcha issues others have, although perhaps the lack of one is why that's all I see. EDIT: Works fine from my phone via the website though.

App is too laggy and choppy on android. If theres more than 2-3 people in chat room that's designed to hold 12 it will start lagging. Which is sad. They been having this issue for over 4 damn years on tinychat for android users and still haven't fixed this bug. Sheesh!!!! Hold this 1 star rating. 😎

This app is horrible because there is a limit on how many you can try to sign up. My username was taken and I couldn't even try to get another one.🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕. And the audio is trash.

TERRIBLE app, authentication system is totally flawed and slow as all hell to address softbans. Don't bother reaching out for help since they're apparently grossly understaffed to help.

Doesn't even let you sign up! I chose a username that was apparently taken so I changed it and tried again only for it to say I have exceeded the daily registration limit! I haven't even registered yet because it wouldn't let me all I did was change the username! TOTAL B*LLSH*T APP !!!

So many bugs. This app/site has been around for years and still has so many issues. Not worth your time or energy. Save yourself the trouble and avoid downloading.

You guys make tons of money with making people pay a lot of money for subscriptions in order to use a site that has been building communities for over 10 years. Yet it appears you pocket the money because simple glitches are never fixed. You also made it near impossible to use a VPN so people are in danger using WebRTC. EDIT: I have never gotten a reply from support. I just addressed issues here. Cosmosis is relied on to make the site work.

After I made a account the app crashed now I can't even join a room. Tiny Chat supposed to be vets in the game . This was one of the first apps after Soulja TellEm start crashing back in 2005.
