Android Tipitaka is based on the free and open source E-Tipitaka project by Sutee Sudprasert:

Tipitaka files are taken from the VRI tipitaka here:
http://tipitaka.org/romn/
On first run, the app will download the required database file (20+ MB). That's the only time it uses the Internet; there are no ads, etc. If it doesn't download the database properly, download the file here:
http://static.sirimangalo.org/pali/ATPK/ATPK.zip
put it in your sd card directory and unpack it with a file manager.

Very good app. You can change a languages to once you know or your mother language and read. Very easy and really helpful app.
English version is not working. just only a pali. why is that ? give me a solution. i will uninstall this app and when you fixed it, i can re instead it. it would be a great help to all.
this app has been inexplicably usful to me in pΔli studies, thank you so much Bhante. one question: is it normal that the ATI archives wont download anymore? is there any workaround? downloading the archives from ATI and linking the path didnt work

Nammo Sangyang Adi Buddhaya Nammo Buddhaya Bodhisattva ya mahasattavaya. Ehmm as all know tipitaka is lot,so if buy all the tipitaka is need a lot cost,now have this app,ehmm I have 1 suggestion but I know is difficult. Can translate all to Indonesian language hehehe.
I gave it 5 stars to help perpetuate the Dhamma. The app says there is an error downloading the English database. I'll try the website, I think I saw the epub there. Ven. Great apps to access vast Pali Tipitaka easily. How good if one day all can be able translated to a language we can understand. Sabba danam Dhamma danam ginati. Among all gifts, Dhamma gift is highest. Sadhu.
Samsung gt 5301. There is Myanmar font problem on my phone. How can I do that.

But when I try to open sinhala it takes longer than cs pitaka.if can do something for that it will be very grateful.as well as when trying to search if can provide words predictions it will be nice. Anyway this is very good help for sasana.
This app has all the Tripitaka, an intro guide, and even a Pali dictionary. In short, it's got all you need to begin a thorough study of Buddhism. The only change I would make is to allow it to be moved to the SD card. That would help a lot.
It tells me an error occurred everytime I try to put the app in English...
Thank you for make it available in sinhala. Adding of TTS function would further brighten the great work.
As others have noted, English is unavailable - you get an error message when you attempt to download/install it. So unless you are (already) fully fluent in Pali, this will be of absolutely no use to you.
