TPMS product works well enough and initial setup of system is simple and straightforward. Disconnect mode for tow vehicle is extremely handy. Unfortunately auroscroll function no longer works at all! Initially it worked, but now I select autoscroll from the menu and nothing happens. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app with no effect.
Function over form: The device and app work as expected, but why the developers refuse to respond to requests for simple updates is inexplicable. As so many other reviewers have asked: Please add a landscape mode How about some color? Add user defined upper and lower alarm settings And my own pet peeve: Add a separate Auto-scroll button to the main screen. How many times have I reached for the Auto-scroll menu item and inadvertently tapped the auto-search function instead?
As for the hardware: so far so good. Easy to setup, no disconnects or false alarms so far. Air pressure sensor are very well constructed. As for the Android app: ditto on almost every negative thing you read hear. Developer, TireMinder, WHOMEVER is in charge.....your app is awful and it's shameful how shabbily you treat your customers! Update the DAMN APP ALREADY!! Add landscape mode support, add split screen and popout app support, fix bugs! Some color would be nice too.
Had an issue after getting a new phone, a Galaxy S20+. Couldn't connect to the device at all. Submitted a support request through the companies website, not here, and got a response the next day suggesting a firmware update. Competed the firmware update in just a few minutes and it works like it did before the update.
The system does exactly what it says it is going to do. I bought this system and installed it and it worked fine. A week later I bought a new phone. It does not work on my new phone and no one seems to know when the app will be updated to work normally. I have been instructed to clear data and cache to make it work. I will keep you all posted on the effectiveness of this suggestion.
Do not buy. Does not work with newer phones. Money down the toilet. Needs updated. When it did work, on older phone, I had a lot of disconnects and false alarms. There has got to be better options out there
VERY EXPENSIVE and does not work. Not working with RV/Car Android/tablet 10.0 Stereo. It would be a better app if it offered better compatibility. Will not install on table Android 10.0. I returned it because if I can't integrate it into a Tablet Android, its an expensive finicky gadget.
I have to continually uninstall and reinstall the app for it to work. When I download it a message appears that says it was written for an older version of Android but there is no update. Ugh...
Does not work with new phones. Upgraded to a Note 20 phone and now will not connect. APP NEEDS UPDATING!! Works with an older phone. UPDATE 5/6/21: STILL NO SOFTWARE UPDATE. When I spoke with them back in September, they blamed COVID. Well, it seems every other company can get things done, why can't you? I am selling this one cheap to anyone that is willing throw their money away.
Bluetooth doesn't always connect and disconnects on its own. It's a simple Bluetooth function, it shouldn't be an issue. Frustrating
Please update your software. Shows that its made for an older version of android and i can't get it to connect. It would also be nice to have a more updated look to it instead of a 1980s pocket video game. This app is an important tool that i use daily for my family's safety. Please update!
I have been using this for 3 years in our trailer and it has been rock solid the whole time. Never any connection issues. Opens and connects everytime.
$300 on device no landscape mode, very simple layout why make it for a Tablet if there is not landscape mode, also it could show all the 4 or 6 tires at sametime just like the car. Waiting and expecting some update
Junk software. Developers wont update software to were it even works. Should discontinue selling the product since the software does not even work. The partnership between the developers and manufacturers are tricking people into buying something that does not work. Needs to be a disclaimer that there is no working software if they want to continue selling this product.
The app is simple enough, but it hasn't been updated in 4 years and every time I open it I get an Android alert telling me the app was designed for an older version and to check for updates. If you're going to sell a product that relies on an app, then you better keep the app up-to-date. Pathetic!
When I purchased the new updated system a year ago after seeing it at a RV Show, I contacted the company about the needed updates and I was told they knew of the issue and an update will be released soon. Well still no update and sorry I bought this product.
Works fine on wife's older Android. Will try my S20 after reading this. Has saved us twice on road with low pressure warnings. Driving Southwest USA there is significant difference in sunny side of fifthwheel readings.
Samsung S9+ and the app says the phone software is too new. Won't connect. Tireminder software hasn't been updated since 2017.
I am having the same problem due to new S20+. Can't download the software. Unless Minder provides an update, may have to write off as BAD INVESTMENT. I kept my S7, so may give it a try.
Just installed the app and am getting a message that my Samsung s10 is too new for this to work properly? Going to return it after I uninstall this app. Over $300.00 for hardware I can't rely on?
When it connects it is great. Unfortunately connection problems occur over 50% of the time. I am using a Samsung S10 plus
I have a 2 year old Samsung S9+ and I have to uninstall and reinstall anytime I want to use the software. Time to update Minder Research
Junk i wasted money on since I purchased few hundred dollars on the rest of the system I cannot use, without this app

No updates since 2017, will not work with newer android devices.

It has been some 4 years, now and no updates on your SmartPhone TPMS app… very frustrating!
app fails to show tires durring learn mode. Did everything tech support said to do but app will not work on Samsung TAB 5 or Galaxy S8
The GUI needs an update and the system is a bit slow.
Still waiting for update. It worked great with my S6 phone. A few weeks ago I replaced that phone with an S20. This app doesn't work on my S20. So it's a good app if you are using an antique phone otherwise not so much. Update: Thanks for the tip about updating the firmware. That did the trick of making it work with my S20. Still get the warning dialog about "...might not work...", but I ignore it since it does work. Except for that, it works a treat.
