"Literally slapped my thigh" funny. "Spat water all over my iPad" funny. "Woke my girlfriend in the middle of the night" funny. Riotously, unrelentingly, brilliantly funny.

"...an idea that is, by most conventional literary standards, terrible, but pushed so far past terrible that it wraps around like a comet slingshotting around the sun and comes back as utterly brilliant."
- Time

"To Be Or Not To Be truly is one of the most purely-entertaining experiences of the year, because Ryan North manages to both live up to my expectations with his take on this literary classic, and also manage to go to places that I just did not expect."

I love interactive fiction, and this hit the spot! I am immensely disappointed at the lack of other interactive singular story games by this developer, and I genuinely wish they would make more based on literary classics. Caesar would be a good one, or Henry VIII!

Not quite my humor(quirky and self referential) and too little check points. Nice animations(though not really necessary in a interactive novel) with music and nice art style(much appreciated). Well made and probably worth a buy if you are into the kind of humor

I was looking for a funny text adventure game and this is perfect for me. I can see this is influenced by Monkey Island, which is my all time favorite video game. Please make more games like this.

Amazing game, needed something light hearted and funny. This game is just a lot of dark humor and everything i was hoping itd be.

This makes me laugh a lot! I don't think you'd need to be that familiar with the play to enjoy this but obviously helps. Extremely hilarious¡

If you loved the book, or if you wanted to read it but books don't do it for you, this game has it! All the pages are broken into digestible pieces ('paragraphs') and you get to touch the screen to see new ones. Then, when there is a path to be chosen, I forgot to mention there's a Shakespearean piano type melody playing. You can turn that off in "options" if you want but I like it so anyway, you can CHOOSE the path you want! I'm almost out of space for reviewing.

One of the most played games in my mobile library. There isn't a moment when I'm not smiling while playing. from the writing to the artwork, this is more than worth the purchase. I'm constantly pestering friends to buy it, haha.

I love Ryan North and just about every other artist/writer associated with this work. I have never awaited a collaboration so much!

Kept me entertained for some time. You can start over and get a different story so its playback value is great.

I loved this game. Thought about getting it on steam ever since it came out, but kept deciding not to. I'm glad I bought it for my phone. It is the greatest way to kill time or just read something ridiculous and hilarious!

Phi. C. Mar 23, 2015

It's bloody hilarious. The book is snarky as hell. The illustrations are done by fantastic webcomic artists (and are all properly credited with links in the gallery!). The branch points are silly as heck and are great fun to explore. My only small gripe is that it's not that easy to scroll back at certain points, but minor complaint. Also, the game takes full advantage of the digital medium to include achievements, music, and other neat extras. It 's a great buy whether you're a gamebook novice or veteran looking for a ROFLMAO inducing read.

Wil. G. Jul 18, 2015

This is Hamlet as it should have been written (if only Shakespeare had been a better writer and also enthusiastic about "choose your own adventure" books).

Mih. C. Jan 22, 2017

Had to uninstall tinder to get enough space on my phone for this. Best decision ever, more adventures and better dialogue options.

Fen. Mar 24, 2015

This book is pretty good, but it needs landscape mode like the other books from this developer have. Other than that, it's just what I'd expect from Tin Man Games!

Mar. M. Oct 20, 2015

This is the most hilarious game ever. It is even surprisingly clean...well, for Shakespeare. Get ready for a lot of twists and turns

Eli. G. Mar 19, 2015

This is the funniest tragic gamebook EVER.

Tak. Jan 9, 2016

Simply amazing. The graphics (when shown) were clearly made with excellent care from the creators.

Absolutely lovely take on the CYOA genre. Hilarious writing combined with smooth animations make this a great experience.

Tri. A. Jun 19, 2016

Strongly recommended that you read/watch the original version (Kenneth Branagh's film version is long, but easily accessible) before playing. However, there are tons of inside references to the original works, and the comedic timing of the adventure-choosing (as vast as it is) is spot-on and razor sharp. A must buy for high-school/college students that have studied Hamlet in the past!

This is awesome!!!!! Everything about it is quality. And its funny to boot. I'm sure if you actually had read hamlit. You would love this even more. Alas, I never have. But I still love it.
