With the latest update, I get a black screen when I open the app. I cannot access any of the shows. Same issue with the Newstalk app. Does anybody test these updates before they are applied to the app???
GoLoud is Painful. Slower to launch than when using individual radio station apps, now I need to sign up just to change playback settings which I won't be doing.
Great radio station and I am a big fan. The app is stalling more and more lately, then the start up ads play again. Recently the app will interrupt the broadcast to play ads in the middle of the radio show and then return to the show. This is terribly annoying and the app is getting worse over the past 6 months. Great radio station though.
Ok they are getting there with fixing the problems, and I'm updating to a 3 star app because you hear more ads than music on all the channels, everytime you change the station since the start of March 2020 its been more ads then ever before, if it wasn't so ad heavy I'd be giving it 5 stars, ads aside this app is brilliant to have on Android auto in the car... it's easy to use and was easy to flick through stations to find awesome music pre the current ads loading everytime you change station...
No issues up until today, now randomly stops and starts playing, missing half the shows, really annoying!
New Go Loud app is OK but when I disconnect from a Bluetooth device the audio continues via the phone speaker. Please fix this.
This app was rock solid, loved to play back shows, could skip back and forward in them no problem. Now, playing back a show may, or may not start. Or just stop while playing and not start and then refuse to load for a while. And going forward or back runs the risk of it refusing to play.
Stream gets interrupted with awful ads repeatedly. These ads are additional to the normal ones and often interrupt content. Or other ads! Additionally often the timing of ads just stops the stream and it doesn't resume. Have to stop and play again to continue. Greedy production leading to a very poor quality app.
Absolutely terrible app, complete waste of time. Never works. Just stops playing for no reason. If you attempt to jump forward in the broadcast it just stops, same if you jump back. If I could give it zero stars I would.
excellent app.. one small thing, when exiting the text is practically illegible because of the color of text and background.. very hard for anyone with sight problems.. surprising given that the station is a real supporter of those with disabilities...
When i visited Ireland, i discovered this app and listened consistently for the last few years. However, for the last 2 weeks, the app won't load. I don't know why, and I've even tried reinstalling it. I'm getting ready to just stop trying, which is a shame.
App takes a while to open. Ads jump in at strange times e.g just as the news headlines start. App cuts out for no apparent reason regularily.... like 7/8 tims per hour. These can last for a few seconds or up to 20 seconds.
Since changing to Go Loud the listening experience has really deteriorated. Continually has breaks in service then goes into an add. So you end up missing snipers of the show. Really poor.
Every time the signal. Drops it plays more adds. It's like it's designed to play as many ads as it can. Interrupts the listening experience all the time
Misleading and disappointing, not really a live feed. You don't hear the dj speaking just the songs, then ads. No news broadcast at the top of the hour. Just an uncontrollable music app.
New version still has issues when playing back downloaded content. The app streams when playing back downloaded shows, in effect doubling data consumption (1. downloading and 2. playback). This can result in additional, unexpected data charges being incurred by the user. It would be very useful if the app allowed streaming to be restricted to wifi only. This would act as a safeguard to help prevent unintended mobile data consumption.
