Today in History is free app about history and it's very simple end easy to use. App shows the most important historical events in the World. If you never read about history events you would never imagine what was going on back than. There is a lot of educational and fun facts.Beside of today's historical events you can search for other days. Most of the events have button read more which link you to full article of the event. Full articles come from various sources like Wikipedia, The Guardian, NY Times, History and much more. But most of them are on Wikipedia.Currently there are more than 137.000 events. Events are divided in three sets:
- Events (17.500+)
- Births (84.500+)
- Deaths (35.000+)

A History app must be free of Political, Religious, Fanatical, Radical views of the Researcher, on this App I sadly see politically influenced texts. The "vehemently denied" issue of Genocide on the Armenians. Turkish Republic opened all their Archives of the Ottmn Empire to prove that there was actually no Genocide, rather a forced removal of the Arm. from the Russian front lines, the Ottomans saying that a Majority of the Arm. sided with the Russians and attacked the Ottmn Soldiers from rear

It works.... But the event details are scant until about 1910 onwards. It then becomes very US focused, so not very good to detail what happened in the world.

I've had this some time on another computer. It's very good in that it covers history daily for the year. So good, I needed it on this one.

This app was obviously written by someone European and is definitely biased against the US when it comes to certain political issues. Unacceptable for an app that is just supposed to relate events in history. Also, some of the event summaries are very vague by not relating names, specifics of the event , etc... At least you know the date it happened.
