'Today in History' Widget

It is informative but sometimes annoying when after any info about a person who died, it invariably shows his/her obituary appeared on times. I don't think anyone would be interested in knowing if someone's obituary appeared on times or not.

Two days ago, it refused to load suddenly. I have fine connection to the internet. I see someone else has had the same issue. I promise I will give five stars if you fix the issue. This is one of my favorite apps and has been for years. Not being able to use it is terrible! Thank you!

A true gentleman is always well informed, about the present, but especially the past. This app gives you all the known and not so well known history you SHOULD know. Remember the difference between a gentleman and a loser is knowledge, and this app gives you the power to be all you can and should be. Top shelf. Thanks Kurtis K. Cullen

I have been using Today In History for years, absolutely loved it and even previously left a 5 star review. Unfortunately the program has stopped displaying ANY information, just says no sources available and it's as if the developer has just decided to take it offline x UPDATE... Someone has apparently been emailed by the developer and he has has sadly decided to take it offline without even letting anyone know, which is a shame, what's more of a shame is that if he had told me I would have made a donation OR perhaps he could've added some advertisements for revenue - I and I'm sure many loyal/grateful users would watch a video or two each DAY for the sake of the developer updating for 2017..so please bring the best History app back, many thanks, Mark x

I love this widget, but the last two days, I've had an 'events could not be loaded' message. I tried to re-install and got message that it couldn't load the website list because I don't have an internet connection. Everything else is working fine...

Its an amazing app, and I recommend it to anyone. But if there could be a Google now style for the widget and a transparent widget that would be great.

Like the app, shame it cannot be moved to internal storage on my phone as would have given 5 stars.

When it worked this was fantastic and I used it for years, unfortunately they've stopped supporting it and now it no longer works. Hope it comes back, if it does I'll be sure to update my rating

It is great to have this widget on my home screen, and sharing an event or finding out more is a simple task.

It's a nice widget. The only thing that bothers me and maybe I'm over thinking it. Is the sentence finishes and their is a huge amount of space left. I wouldn't mind something there or if we took some of that space away .

Easy to use, multiple widgets, your choice of source, great info. History repeats itself so know it well.

I really like this widget!! Love learning new things and reading about things I'd forgotten. But does it have to be so... for lack of a better word, blah. Can you make this app so you can design or edit the widget, so you don't have solid black blocks on your screen?? Then I could give it 5 stars. :)

Very useful app. I'm a fan of history so its nice to know what happened on any particular day. Wish there were animations or something to make the overall look of the app better.

Almost everything posted seems to be negative events in history. Not all. But most.

I have used this app for years and use daily. Worked great until two weeks ago. Unable to load any information when I have service. Please fix asap!

Enjoyed until today when all I got was a blank white screen. I'll try again tomorrow to see if it was a fluke.

Finally, something simple that has no strings attached. I love history and everyone tries to lock you down with their data fishing so I'm glad to have access to this with no strings attached.

Trendy events, only a few real meaningful historical events...

I'm having the same issue someone else mentioned - it says "No events could be loaded," etc. I hope this will be addressed.

I love this app but it won't load now for a while. Internet connection is fine. I'll change to 5 if it works again.

Needs a bit better support for Scandinavian languages. But my home screen is way more interesting now.

Normally i would give this app 5 stars but after the update I can't open this app. Nothing shows up no history to read about. Please fix.

I would like to have 'black on white' option for staked card widget (most convenient in use)

Would like to see a function to browse future dates. Excellent functionality and sourcing for today though. 5 stars for at least an "upcoming week" view.

Love getting to dig into new topics and moments in history every day. Widget could use a little makeup, it is not the prettiest... but no reason not to give it a go! Highly recommend!

Enjoyed this app for many years, but stopped fetching information in January of 2017 :(

The Author stopped working on it (got an e-mail) due to lack of time and the cost of running the backend. Hope he will rewrite it in future.. Thanks for many years!
