Today Weather - Widget, Forecast, Radar & Alert

This is without a doubt THE most beautiful weather app ever created, and fully functional. The fact that it is regularly updated with new functionality is a blessing too. Many phone's weather widgets (ahem Samsung) are simplistic and frankly rubbish. That's why I'm giving 5 stars. It's a brilliant example of how today's apps should be developed and maintained for the Android platform.

Very pretty. I like it for the widget which is easily modified to my home screen and lools flawless. I can have both hourly weather and a 5 day forecast, make the background transparent, change font colour, show chance of rain and wind speed too. Yet some settings do nothing. Changing from mph to km/h has no change to the number. Also kph and km/h are the same thing... not sure why they've bothered to put both. Show precipitation intensity yields... a blank. So settings could be improved.

One of the few weather apps that let you actually get rid of the things you don't want, AND arrange the elements you do want, in the order you want them. Except that turning off notifications and alerts, doesn't turn off all the notifications and alerts. They still hit you with some inside the app, that won't turn off.

The addition of the wind speed and direction have made this app look cluttered in my opinion. It's interesting how such a small change can change the way the entire app looks for someone. Great that there are so many weather providers, but the look puts me off to the point I no longer use it. Shame, because it used to be my go to weather app. I think it needs a refresh.

Overall this is very good weather app. It looks nice and works superbly on phone, tablet & Chromebook. The only downside for me is the widgets. There's loads of them but they all seem oddly restrictive in their own ways. Some of them allow you change the "gravity" but others don't. There also needs to be more variation in widget resizing. Lastly, whilst the app responds to dark/light mode, the widgets don't.

I have been using AccuWeather for a few years now, but it has been consistently getting worse and worse, between getting slower, notification bar weather constantly breaking, and a progressively clunky UI, I had enough. Switched to this and love it for the customization and simplicity. It just works, and can make virtually everything the way I want it. With a lifetime pro version under $10 compared to other apps like The Weather Channel that want $30 per year, this is a no trainer for me.

I like the app (premium version). Nice, clean mostly accurate. However I have a problem with the notification making the default notification about once every hour (when it updates). It also makes the same sound when the layout changes (portrait/landscape), for instance while having YouTube open and turning the phone in portrait or landscape mode.

Refreshing to view, customizable to no end, change the order of the content you wish to scroll thru. Remove content you don't want to deal with. Pretty . . very pretty. I am an AccuWeather user but after using Today Weather for 10 min., I think I like it more. I don't understand the performance complaints I've read. I'm using this on a very underpowered Moto G Pure and it performs perfectly! I must emphasize that I don't like notifications or weather alerts intruding on my experience . . and they don't! If I had one wish, it would be to downsize or move the big fat ad that appears in the middle of all the beautiful weather info. Stick it in settings or somewhere else. It's a major distraction. Pay for it if I don't like the Ads? I have to say, the fee structure is whacked! I think most folks, if they pay for an app want to pay once and forget it!

It's good alternative to the major apps. It's simple. It shows you all you need to know on a single page and you have the option to rearrange the order of the different items of information. It supports different forecast providers but some of them are locked behind a paywall. The persistent notification can show the temperature at all times if you want it to and you get a lot of additional info if you expand it. It has a dark mode. The ads are not intrusive. No full screen ads currently.

nice app I paid for it but there is a frustration leaving off at least one star. the radar weather overlay is too solid and if everything is covered with weather you can't see the underlying map. I sent you a detailed email with images but never heard back. minus one star for not letting me set the transparency of the overlay. minus one for not messaging back after sending a detailed suggestion. (ps, I sent the screen shot... did you get it?)

Would be great if you guys can bring back the earth surface map. The one that shows the wind steering at different layers of the atmosphere. You had it before and it made your app special apart from the others. UPDATE: Never got a response about this. Any chance that reinstalling that feature is perhaps doable?

Amazing weather app with great interface!!! I just wish that it wouldn't get so much personal data from us (for example specs of our phones, ip, etc.) or that they would be strongly encrypted at least! And if possible a wear os app would be very much appreciated😅 Anyway i love it so far and i have purchased the premium version! Keep up the great work!!!!

I like the customization options and features built in. The only thing stopping me from going all-in and buying the paid version is that the radar doesn't have a layer for severe weather alerts. If I could see watches and warnings mapped out, this would be my only weather app and would get five stars.

Looks nice, but icons are totally rubbish. i.e. we've had gorgeous sunny days recently, but this app always shows a rain icon, because we get some drizzle late in the day. Totally misleading. The icon should show rain AND sun. Solved! Or they could even have several mixed icons: half and half, mostly sunny, mostly rainy. But still showing both rain and sun. They don't seem interested in fixing it either, after I mentioned this. I got no reply, and there's been no change :( If it misleads me, why would I keep using it?

This app often hangs on launch. Its reported temperatures are frequently inaccurate by tens of degrees. Comparing Android and iOS versions side by side, this app also reports inconsistent information between each version (Android reports X, iOS reports Y, even though all configurations are identical). Let users backup their configurations? That way, they could restore one backup on multiple devices.

Could be a good app. However, it is unbearably slow to open. I just want to check the weather quickly. Not wait 2 minutes for it to load. I'm not sure if it's loading ads or what, but It's not like I have a slow phone either. I'm using an S21 Ultra. It shouldn't take this long...

One day in and so far I'm really liking this app. I was looking for something to replace Weather Underground since many of my favorite features were removed/put behind a paywall. The only thing that I wish was there is the ability to report if weather is different than what's displayed (like saying it is raining instead of just cloudy). But being able to choose a data source, having tons of detail in the persistent notification, and all the customizable features totally make up for that lack 😁

Excellent Interface. Uncluttered, with a changeable panel order. Multiple, easily-switchable data sources permit forecast comparison in-app. Tons of widgets, with customizable clock and calendar links. One request: a 1-hour byperlocal precip widget that shows chance and amount using a line and bar. Otherwise, exceptional.

Update 4/12/22 Paid version. I decided to revise my original 5-star review. The app has become slower and slower to load. Full LTE signal or WiFi, it's the same. The two little dots dancing around waiting and waiting to load. Something has changed in the updates. DEVS take a look and see what you may have messed up.

Not good for life saving information. Alerts arrive 15 to 30 minutes later. They are not pushed immediately. This app is allowed to run in the background on my phone and battery optimization is off so it should work on real time but it doesn't.

I really like being able to use my national weather forecaster. I also really like the detailed notification. I'd love to see a more 'realistic' icon set rather than the cartoonish options.

THE weather app! finally found a beautifully designed, super accurate, reliable and customisable weather app. The best by far. The fact that it's aligned with BOM gives me comfort that I can trust it. Thank you to the amazing developers who created this gem.

Keeps jumping out of settings when you're still busy. Font colour change isn't displayed. Worried about battery drainage. disappointed in pollen count not being available for South Africa. Seems to be an app favouring EU and USA

I love the widget, you can customize mostly every part of it. You can change the color & opacity of the background, weather icons, tool buttons. My only complaint is, I can't seem to figure out how to change the color of the font yet.. ..However, something tells me it's possible, I'm probably just not doing it right so far. I would have rated it 4/5 for the font color thing, but that would be unfair. Also, the rest of the features are rock solid. I love it, great app!

Some problems seem fixed now. Launches faster. I don't like the little arrow wind indicators. Would love to be able to tap and hold on something like that and toggle it on or off. Also, some weather sources are missing now, like NOAA. I like to have sources that are more accurate for ocean and shoreline areas (like Gulf of Mexico).
