I've tried a few, but Toggl is by far the best time tracker on the market. It is free and has no ads. It allows for unlimited categories and sub-categories. It provides detailed reports with graphs. It has cross-platform synchronization. I recommend using it on desktop as well. I use it on my phone, tablet and desktop. To the devs: Thank you for such a wonderful tool!
Some apps are life saver & this is just one of them. Hey team, thanks for making such an awesome app. Few suggestions for your future updates: 1) The pomodaro timer doesn't make sound after completion. So, that's defeating it's original purpose. So do fix it. Add an alert sounds like timers. 2) Provide an search option for previous monitored task 3) Provide an pie & graphical chart based on time allotment.
BEST APP EVER!! Not just it gives you the ability to customize promodo time - a feature I couldn't find in any other app!- but it also provides reports. There're so many other amazing features. I have tried so many apps to organize my work+ studies and I'm free to say this is the BEST! highly recommended, there's an access to so so many features for free aside from the premium. Thanks to the designers for providing us such a great app.
It is unexpectedly good, given the lackluster state of the Windows desktop app. I like a lot of it but certain use cases are awkward to perform. If you're running some timer every minute of the day it's immediately apparent that there's no _easy_ way to retroactively add a time entry: * Between two existing entries * From the last entry to now * From an arbitrary starting point to the start of the next existing entry * From the end of an existing entry to an arbitrary point.
I've been using Toggl for some time as a freelance software developer. The android app provides excellent functionality to manage my time on projects, and the pomodoro feature is a useful to keep an eye on focus time and taking breaks. It syncs with the web app as well, so easy to move between the two.
A great little tracker for hours spent on projects and clients! End of the week reporting exportable to CSV for Excel import and manipulation for submitting timesheets to my company for them to charge time to projects/customers. It has extensions into tons of other apps, I understand, but I don't personally use it integrated into other programs.
After using it for a while now, I see it has fixed some old issues and works pretty well. I actually like it a lot now. My only request is the possibility of adding a maximum time for the counter for the times we might forget to stop it. But it's very useful and I thank all its developers.
Eh, it's ok. It's not very intuitive so I'm constantly hitting the wrong thing and then having to delete what I've done. It's not always easy to make edits. I honestly can't figure out why my projects can't be grouped together so I can see accumulated time. You can set an hourly wage for billable hours, but it doesn't display anywhere that I can see. It feels like half an app to me and not fully functional. It is free, though, and there are no ads, so that's something.
I love toggl and have been using it on a paid plan for 4 years, but the latest update broke it. It no longer remembers previous time entries, and thus requires you fully type in your time entry description and project. Every. Single. Time. It's now unusable. PLEASE fix. I used this product every day
It's really great and very ergonomic compared to the other app you could use. The synchronization between phone and computer works very well you never have to wait. I just wish they would copy the way tags are done in the other one, so you can set multiple tags at once quickly, and so you can see them when you select past activities from the autocomplete drop down menu. Also it would be nice to be able to select some other color scheme than pink/violet. Other than that perfect app
Pomodoro timer does not sends any notification on completion of a Pomodoro unless auto start of sessions is enabled. I don't know who thought this was a brilliant idea because it clear isn't. What's the point of running a Pomodoro if it won't tell me by making a sound that your session is up. Why force me to enable the auto session feature? Sometimes you are in flow and you just want to start the next pomodoro immediately instead of timer automatically starting a break.
Good app for productivity and great features. But the Android app is lagging to much. UI actually lagging too much. Kind of frustrated with Android version but hope it will fix in future updates.
The app is insanely better than it used to be - I think it is now a powerful time management tool with useful insights. I just wish that the tags were more useful, and that they could be incorporated into the statistics.
Trying to name a project the app keeps changing the spelling, this is highly unprofessional. There is no way I am sending an invoice to a client with a word spelled spelled wrong!
It's nearly perfect. Only sometimes on desktop it forgets to spawn that pop-up asking after a time of absence.
It's a nice app. But I am unable to close a finished project. I'd also like to see how many hours I've put into the project.I use the app on my phone.
Great app. But I have an issue. The app does not make a notification sound when a pomodoro session ends. I have enabled access for the app to play notification sounds. Cannot figure out the issue. Please help me.
The best working app ever! I am more aware of my time management as an illustrator since I used this app. It's simply amazing :) It helps a lot with the charge process to clients, I would love to see an invoice add on so you can sent them directly from the app itself
I was perfectly happy with the old app, it was low weight, snappy and did what it said. Then they released this new version and discontinued the old one. It's not nearly as good. It takes ages to load and almost always fails to sync until you manually force it to. It's not as responsive either; there is a significant delay between each command and the action. Why did you have to fix something that was not broken??? I'm sticking to the PC Chrome version for now, this smartphone app is just not good enough. If this poor design is not improved in the next update, I'll reluctantly switch to Clockify...
