So... it got me where I needed to go. So I won't give it a 1. But it almost caused an accident twice. Told me to keep left, then take the exit on the right. Can't do that in a 37 foot class A. Even at the very beginning of the route, it started to take me the wrong way, then had me make a u turn. Then, didn't have the updated roads, and thought the exit was further up. Also the volume was really low. 1st time using it, and definitely the last. Requesting a refund.
This app was reccomended by a popular RV podcast. I use it to plan my travel on RV friendly roads. That said, in the past week it has routed me and my travel trailer up a dirt road to a dead end, taken me to a wrong location, and suggested a route that would have taken me two exits past the exit that was 1 mile from my campground, only to route me back to that exit via backroads. Very disappointed in this app. Also, written step directions are hard to follow and not always accurate. Finally, is there anyway to get rid of the British voiceover?
A VERY large letdown It would certainly appear that this "app" is nothing more than a lazy attempt as it fronts to the website. Unfortunately MS Edge sees it as a dangerous website and blocks 🚫 further access short of the login page. What is my PRO subscription paying for?
Overall the app is not bad. Would really like to see the navigation work with Android auto so it can display on my car screen like other navigation apps will. Also needs to be more filter options for campsites such as year round availability. Will wait to see improvements before considering upgrading to the paid version.
I installed the app before reading the reviews, but thankfully, I did before purchasing a membership. To see all the negative comments immediately screams unistall this app and don't look back. Sounds like these guys should shut down the app, get it right, and then re-release it when it's fixed instead of spending all their time giving apologies for everything wrong about it. Maybe I'll come back in 6 months to see if they've gotten their act together. But for now, no way I'm keeping it.
The rate this app is irritating! I go to explore to find camp grounds and the rate this app pops up, i rate it and then keeps popping up! At first they got a ok, but then moved to a dissatisfied.
I was really pessimistic about all the negative reviews on here. I must say, this app did not function to expectations. It's awkward and not all that intuitive. By far my biggest complaint is screen rotating. When the phone is in normal position, it's fine...I think. But, as you use your phone as a GPS you must have it plugged in, which is on the bottom. When you rotate the phone sideways it completely deletes your route, reinitializes the app and it won't let you re-enter your intended addr
I thought this was a device app, but it seems more like a front end for a web site - it doesn't work without a data connection. When you click login, it takes you to a web page in your browser. The maintenance and checklist items included seem fairly complete. I didn't try to add any custom items or fill in any but the minimum required info - and I don't need to tell the developer my vehicle license info. I admit I didn't give it a thorough workout. Low rating because it isn't a local app, and it is slow.
It was glitchy and had trouble with locating where we were for singe reason (when I put on Google maps I had no problem). My phone also got hot and I started having trouble charging. Not sure if it's related, but I deleted the app. I'm kind of bummed, because we had to pay for the year and I'm not sure how to cancel. Also, I really wish it worked better, because it would be great to be able to travel without worrying about which roads we can drive on. I hope the developer can fix it.
GPS feature needs work. It resets once you get into the details. Frustrating making it impossible to depend on for trip planning. App must be stable. Add the easy ability to track and save trips offline as well. Add search along the way feature. Basic platform is a good start. Am about to take trip and unsure if I can really use the app. So much potential. Like the features which take rv and trailer into account. Please add road closure or road status updates as well.
Don't waste the band width. I've been trying to set up a couple of lists for over 30 minutes. I was editing one- Took 18 minutes & it saved nothing re changes/adds. Tried a different one-Gives a preset list for 10 secs and disappears. Tried several times. There are 3 list types marked"premium" lists. But what I've been trying are NOT the premium. Don't see the point!
Difficult to use - worthless app! This is supposed to be an app that allows you to search for and evaluate RV Parks & Campgrounds. But it is difficult-useless in this regard. You can't simply enter a zip code or city name, and come up with a list of RV Parks. At best, you can read some generic articles on RV topics that may or may not interest you. As a search tool... this is completely useless.
Total waste of time. Downloaded AFTER the revised update today. After setting up my ID and password, was supposed to receive an email to confirm registration which I never received. Whenever I try to login, all I get is a Something Went Wrong, Try Again message. I have uninstalled and re-installed several times with no success. Deleted permanently, piece of junk!
What a worthless app. I tried to add my RV several times I might add and it never took. Too bad, the app looked like it had potential.
I am watching about the 10th RVMiles YouTube video that touts all the additions and enhancements that TOGO RV Pro is supposed to have, due to their recent acquisitions of Campendium, etc. I don't see it. I don't see any value with this app. The main reason we got it was to use the RV GPS. In addition to being difficult to use, the GPS rarely works. I just love when it just says "no routes found". This company seems better at marketing than actually providing support for a flawed product.
Went to set up the app and the maintenance reminders but i couldn't enter any type of maintenance. Looked at the checklists and they were very basic, and most were for premium members only. There are better checklist apps out there. Stopped at that point and deleted. Not much of a companion I guess.
I downloaded this to try out the rv navigation and found it severely lacking. We mostly stay at blm and not having a way to navigate to gps coordinates is a absolutely show stopper. Also it seems like the map is missing most forest service roads. Isn't this supposed to be used by rvers?? Also 40 bucks a year is too much for a immature feature.
I used it for the first time and man was that a bad idea. Yes it was a little shorter trip by 10 miles but it took me up and around the mountains of santa barbara ca. And can i add steep unnecessary inclines and declines. It would have been much easier to just stick to major highway.
This is a joke, right? This app is like a leftover from the year 2003. Free apps run circles around this and don't charge you $50/year. Took it for a simple test drive today... Whatever you do, do NOT stray from the route. I did so purposely in order to test it. The app responded with an abrasive, very artificial British voice that just barked "recalculating route" over and over (so much that my kid start making fun of it) but never actually did so. Useless.
it is a beginning. However it needs a lot of work. You can not enter your own maintenance item. All you can do is turn a predifined item on or off. you can't stipulate maintenace intervals in either time or milage. Check list are the same, predefined on/off. App needs a lot more flexability
Not quite ready for prime time. Adding images of my rig didn't work. Checklists are hardwired and therefore useless. RvChecklist Android app has much more useful checklist feature. I don't know why FMCA endorsed and spammed members about app that isn't that useful yet. Has potential down the road perhaps.
I have not been able to edit my maintenance items. You can add but not delete. It is also very slow to refresh when you make a change which makes it very annoying while you are checking off maintenance items. This App needs a lot of work.
GPS app took us and our rv off the main road and through a little town with very narrow streets. Then a back county road barely wide enough for two cars. I had been to the park where we were going and new the right way but wanted to test the app. Fail!
This "RV" gps app does not take into consideration the size of the RV(even though it has you enter that info), road grades, and sharp curves when giving route options. The main reason one would use a secondary app for gps instead of what the phones provide for free...
This app still needs a lot of work. It crashed multiple times during the loading phase of my rig demensions. It also doesn't recognize all the campgrounds and it will not allow me to pin drop where it is.
Can't review an app I can't open. Signed up and created log in and all it does is keep telling me to upgrade to pro which is what I signed up for. It sends me every time to google play store for the app which I already have. I just want to plan a trip. What a frustrating experience.
Could you provide an iPad version of this app? I was surprised when I first logged in that it was primarily for a phone. I understand a good number of people will use their phones, but my family likes to use the iPad for navigation and travel planning especially me as co-pilot!
I'm looking for something for my motorhome that allows me to keep track of oil change interviews on my generator as well as everything else. I have not found anyone that does it yet. As well as the air brake filter. there books that do what this. FMCA suggested it. I've already emailed them and said how disappointed I was that they would recommend something that does not work on motorhomes.
GPS portion is a pain to use. Couldn't locate me for a starting destination point. So then when I went back to manually load my starting point it lost all the RV info that I just entered! The GPS function is Not worth the money or frustration!!
I'm surprised by the # of bad reviews. But, I don't use the app for navigation (which seems to be what most complain about). I use it for the boondocking/overnight parking locator which is VERY helpful. This feature is worth the price alone. However, I'm also discouraged because I've sent many updates about spots I've tried and very few have resulted in changes on the app. When someone finds that a listed spot is no longer good for overnight parking, that info should be immediately updated.
