Love the game, would love to be able to purchase the expansions to play on here as well. It looks like there were plans for that and additional characters at some point

This is a fun game. Love playing online or against AI to kill time. Each AI character plays differently. BTW, The actual boardgame for Takaido is expensive and has hundreds of small tokens. These are a PITA to setup and put away.

Would give 3.5 if I could. The board game itself is wonderful. Seems well balanced and interesting to play with all the different characters. The app is overall really nice. Decent graphics and runs smoothly. A few things I think would really improve it though: 1) When buying from the merchant (or interacting with any space), it would be nice to still see the board. I appreciate the graphics, but sometimes I need to see the board.

If the developers address these issues, then I'll give a better score. Bugs at the end of scoring where they don't don't display properly. There's a weird glitch in the screen and then jumps to the final podium. Online player games sometimes there's different scores for each player? That shouldn't happen. Playing online can be a challenge to actually work to the server properly. Sometimes would get randomly booted or freeze so doesn't make the game fun. They said they'll be an update soon...

The game is fun but buggy. I have issues with not being able to purchase food at the inn when I had enough coins and the game kept telling me I didn't. Sometimes, at the end of the game, the end ranking cannot be loaded and at times, I somehow was ranked lower then someone that had 3 points less than me. Some players take so long to make a move that they really should have been kicked out by the game and when nothing happens for 2-3 mins, I have to manually leave the game.

I tried this game for the illustration, and then stayed for the beautiful gameplay. How 1 road would have so many strategies to explore and try. I had my fun trying each of the characters too. Added with the soothing music, this game is one of the most pleasant board games I've ever played. One thing, I hope they would add a timer for when we play online. It's annoying when another player takes too long, probably from connection problem or something. I hope they would fix/add other alternatives

Pretty, but shallow, with some bugs. The good: Pretty artwork, nice music on title screen, exposes you to some Japanese cultural artifacts that you might wish to learn about. The bad: Gameplay ends up very linear, with little strategy. Typical play through is that you and the AI just move to the nearest available space each turn, and one player wins by 2 or 3 points at the end with no obvious reason why. The game chews up over 10% of battery usage in the background. Maybe a notification bug?

It would be 5 stars hands down, if it weren't the online bugs! Scores that are not well calculated among friends, leading to different winners on different devices, entering a shop sometimes doesn't do a thing, meaning you can't progress or do anything. If you disconnect from a game there is no way to reconnect again!?! Sigh... Such a good adaptation filled with bugs. On a payed app nonetheless! Please fix the app before developing dlc for it!

Good game. Would be great if there was a 'lite' version of the map without the background graphics. The graphics are pretty but it makes the game very slow even on fast ai mode. Would love just a simple gane map and graphics only when you enter a shop. This would mean I could play more games as they wouldn't take as long.

The only thing I liked about this game was the graphics. The actually gameplay is not very exciting, complicated, or very fun. You are just walking from spot to spot collecting things at each one. Thats it, no surprises or competition really. There is also no way to skip through the AI opponents turns, making a 5min game turn into 20min for no real reason.

This game looks amazing on the big screen with Samsung Dex. I have it on my Note 8, and Galaxy Tab S2 and it looks gorgeous. But when I hooked my phone to my Dex and 40" screen, I was blown away! I have been using Samsung Dex for almost 2 years now, and it is really a game changer for mobile computing. I can see the characters in a big screen without any lag and in full HD (as compared to mirroring). Please make more games compatilble with Dex.

I haven't seen any mention of the board game's expansions, and there's no option (that I've seen) to play from Edo to Kyoto. It looks great, but there's too much reliance on vibrant color popping on white. The game could use a touch more to color it. Something like this needs more life to it, options that make the game endlessly replayable instead of tediously eternal. I like what I see, but the game feels too much like how it looks -- patches of color on an otherwise empty canvas.

The game is enjoyable offline. You don't get all the characters though. The online experience is not that great. Online player base is non-existent, and if you somehow get a match going you'll find yourself disconnecting or crashing often with no way to reconnect to the game. My biggest wish is that you could reconnect to games.

Need to improve turn based play with friends. You HAVE to play online and in real time if you lose your connection or need to come back you're kicked from the game and cant come back, it's so stupid. it's a simple mindless game anyway with no real strategy and the online game takes away any choices you have with the board game. the art is nice and the game play is quick and smooth but if you want to play with others, just buy the board game, its awesome.

Buggy-ass game but with good fundamentals. WAY too punishing in its tendency to kick players for inactivity. Also the screen kept autorotating upside down then right side up. Both when I had autorotate enabled on my phone, AND when it was disabled. You also can't exit the game and reliably find a way to re-enter the same game. Please developers, fix the bugs! Open source it if necessary!

This game reproduces the physical version beautifully. It is well designed, all the different phases and sections of the game are enriched by adding more graphical polish. I have only two considerations: - the HUD is clearly designed for tablets, on smartphone it is a little bit small. - if possible i would like to be able to skip the walking animations in between players turns when playing against AI. Just to comolete a game faster

I had initial login issues with the game until I restarted the app. It wouldn't let me enter a username or password. Now the game runs great. The only thing keeping it from 5-star is the online functionality. Connecting takes a while, sometimes times out, and the lobby function needs enhancement. You should be able to see other games while waiting in a current game for it to fill. Games should also auto-start once filled to prevent delays (or at least have an option to set it as such).

Slow paced game with a very nice presentation. Strategy and choice paths are low. So, it does feel like auto play at times. Hoping they'll come out with the crossroads expansion at some point to mitigate that... Had some issues on S10 but the devs pushed out a patch after a few emails. Performs well now, only had one minor issue in a game so far. I do wish they had a rule book or help menu outside of the tutorial though. I only play offline so I can't give input on online stability.

I'm honestly unsure of what I expected when downloading this game. I thought the game looked nice one day, I slapped it in to my wishlist, and waited for it to be on sale. Once I saw it was temporarily on sale, I downloaded it. Upon downloading it said it would give me a tutorial and I honestly understood nothing it said. The instructions were very vague and it really only told you to choose one or two characters before jumping in and telling you to scroll and choose a space. Music was good.

I really love this game. It is so fun & restful. I'm a really bad loser & i don't have a bad time when I lose this game. Also, this game fits & scales great on my BlackBerry Key2, which has a weird screen with capacitive home/navigation buttons & a physical keyboard & it works in split-screen too. I do have to ask: Fun Forge, are there any plans to bring out the expansions? I love the way the game changes with the expansion characters. Again, love this game - thanks for bringing it to Android!

I have the game installed on a LG V20, but I can't click on anything at the menu. The sound and the animations are playing at the menu right after I open the app, it logs in my Google account, but I can't start the tutorial or click in any other button. I've heard great things about the board game, and I am looking forward to try this app. I am just waiting on a solution and I'll rate the game properly.

Beautiful Concept, Garbage Execution. They did all the difficult things right and all the easy things wrong! *AI turns take FOREVER with no way to speed up or skip long repetitive animations. Basically unplayable for this alone. * UI is very inconsistent - needs to be more clear to double tap, not tap to select and then arrow to accept or "are you sure" prompt if skip * Pan and Zoom is glitchy and jumpy, locking to arbitrary points Team clearly skipped UX and playtesting. Easy easy fixes.

The game is great overall, but there are still some problems. 1) when i had an encounter, my goods goes to another oponent, it also happen when I go to get painting pieces, 2) the ranking at the end of the game usually crashes, 3) when creating a game room I dont know who joined and I had to create a new room whenever it's not my friend who joined, you should give more host priority like removing a player and knowing who has joined, 4) sever overloading and reconnecting during game also

Decent, but single player is lacking. The AI is very weak and has no options to increase or adjust difficulty. Achievements also don't work at all in single player. There's no rules reference to go back and look up how something works; you can replay the tutorial but that's it.

The gameplay is good.. But it have so many bugs.. Later i just win the match but the screen goes error like glitching.. And then when i switch application for a while.. The game is stuck.. And then i can't scroll the map anymore.. On my early game, i can scroll the map.. One more thing, its should be good if you can increase the variety of characters..

Great game except after my first time opening the app, it just stopped working. Every time after my first time, I can't press any of the buttons. It's entirely unresponsive. Everything else on my phone works perfectly. I reinstalled and then had the same experience. First time works, but all other times don't.
