Tomato Typewriter - Write without writer's block

I love it. I managed to reach the 2k goal easily with this when I've been struggling to do so while using a normal word processor. I know 2k isn't that much but baby steps, I guess. However, the app can be a bit glitchy sometimes. I haven't had crashes while writing, but I do get crashes when I press the hamburger menu symbol sometimes or occasionally when I just open the app.

I love the concept for this app but it could be improved if it automatically capitalised the first letter of a sentence. I have to manually do it which isn't great for writing at speed. Also it would be great to have notifications when the break ends because I spend my break anxiously watching the timer! Other than that thanks for motivating my writing in a fun as terrifying way 😬😆

This is a fantastic app and I've I recommend to all my writer friends. It's highly motivating and my only hope is for an edit feature to arrive eventually. A must have app if you want to stretch your writing times and give yourself accountability.

The app does what it was designed to do but it's probably not the best app to use if you are a person suffering from anxiety. I clicked on the option to receive annoying noises. What I was expecting for annoying noise was maybe some music to start playing or perhaps a beeping sound, not a deep voice saying "you". It slightly triggered my anxiety. The other options could trigger someone's anxiety as well but at least they are upfront. In summary this app is not for you if you suffer with anxiety.

It works really well for me. I do wish there was an emergency pause button, as I choose the "delete words" option, but sometimes have to jump away from my computer. But I've written a lot more because of this app, so it's chill.

I'm unable to see the timer and the word count while I write which should be the point of forcing the writer to write faster against the countdown. I'm also not sure if it saves the written content as it didn't with mine. Emailed the developer with suggestions, no replies as of yet. Willing to go up to 5* if the word count and the visual timer is included while writing the content.

I really really love this app!!! Before i'm using tomato typewriter, i was a bit too perfectionist (like i'm thinking too much even when i wrote the first draft of my story). This app helps me to not be like that and just write whatever comes to my mind without worrying about it. Thank you so much for making this app, i'm absolutely love this.

I've yet to try it but so far just by looking at the options I can tell this is exactly what I need. I always start daydreaming when I write, because it's much faster to visualize a story that way, but that doesn't help at all because no one else can see it. So this will definitely help me be more productive.

What a breakthrough this was for me! I used to think my writing had to be thoughtful and meaningful, and that sometimes I was just better at it than at others. I've now learned it doesn't matter what you write, as long as you force yourself to spend great predetermined amounts of time at it. Just keep writing—it doesn't matter what, as long as you do it till the buzzer goes off. La la la, I'm writing, look at me, have you seen John's new haircut? Who would've guessed it was so simple? Whee!

If I could give negative stars, I would! I wrote a goddamn chapter for about 1k word counts. It says I should take a break. I re opened the application and it was gone! I am really disappointed! Edit: I made sure that the punishment I made is only irritating sounds coz I don't want my work to be gone. The break was 5 minutes.

Thanks a tonne to developer for making such an amazing app. And an additional thanks for making all this free with zero advertisements. It has been a day since I downloaded this app and I've written more than I have ever written in a day. Thank you! Keep up the great work.

unfortunately this doesn't work for me - whenever I try to start a new session it only gives me about 10 seconds before the first break and 10 seconds of break no matter what numbers I put in update; works now!

I find this app very helpful for my writing, but the only issue is that there's not any accounts to be added, if it just have like a backup way, it'll be great, but thank you for your helpful app I want a site for this app so bad

It's a great mindhack to get yourself into the flow state when writing. Give it a go if you ever found yourself stuck at writing.

So simple, so useful. And best of all, no ads. Love it! Well done! This will be my 1st draft writing app from now on.

keeps me from procrastinating which is great. can write blindly and since it saves it to my clipboard I can paste it on my quickmemo and edit it! just what I've been needing!

Couldn't get out of my document I had just typed. !! Had to restart app. Still same. Had to uninstall it just to get out of it.

I like the more subtle threat of deleting words rather than the whole page if you go beyond the timer.

Has the exact features I want but keeps crashing, would happily reinstall and pay for a premium version if it was reliable

I can't edit my document, the timer is not necessary but it's a great app.

Its creepy if you leave your phone sit for a while by itself on than it say hello in a ghost like voice and sometime itll be a manly but still scary voice

Switching from IOS to Android is one of the best decisions I've ever made--it's because of this app. I just love it!
