I've used Tomplay for over a year now and continue to be enthralled by it. The selection of music is huge and continues to grow as new songs/pieces are added. The support, should there be a problem (very seldom), is excellent. Very fast response from the team and always a good resolution to the problem. I recommend this to anyone, no matter the skill level or the musical preferences (jazz, classical, covers, etc). There is something for everyone!
Key sig. change function would be handy. If you manage to fix these things, you may have a pretty good app. A dark mode would be good too, similar to the fakebook, black page, white notes - better for darker venues./// Extra 🌟 for responding, that matters. The playlist autoplay mode is excellent but I'd prefer to change order while playing. Maybe a hideable playlist sidebar?
I am learning to play the viola and Tomplay offers lots of supporting music with accompaniment at different levels and styles, as well as scales and music theory. It is a musical paradise for a reasonable subscription fee. Thank you.
Edit: I would have just liked to get a message saying that was the case. My only issue was there was just no communication for months. I didn't get an email after sending multiple. I in no way want to invalidate the hard work yall do. It is just frustrating to send emails and get no reply for months.
This app should be avoided. Never enter payment details if used. Tomplay never refund if dissatisfied or if they take an unwanted renewal. The app does not provide control over subscriptions enabling the default Auto-Renewal to be selected to OFF. Tomplay store card details and debit without your knowledge. ALL existing users of this app should immediately contact Tomplay and cancel Auto-Renewal.
I find this app really helpful in learning to play to different time signatures and improving my playability skillset. It has interactive functions that allow you to practise and perfect a piece over. And you can add more pieces to your library from the store as your level of play expands.
Amazing. Best app ever. Every feature you would need, although it would be useful to be able to download the sheet music (unless I've missed that option) I use it for the drums and I am very happy with the App. ❤️
A tool for musicians especially those who are beginners to find new pieces, expand repertoire, stimulation for studying and have the feeling of a nice accompaniment. I just find the original repertoire a bit limited for the price (at least for my instruments, cello and viola), some bug occasionally when using search tool for example, but still I am using it
This app is really good, it has a very organized and clear system, the sound is good and the settings are available to help you practice in different ways the pieces you choose between difficult or easy styles of music.
I like this very much! How ever, I would like more variation of the songs. Like Harry Potter, Interstellar or something like that so we can explore more music options, games, movies, classical, pop, rock. If u do that! OMG this will be so perfect app!! Had Oktav app before and they did NOT have audio playback so that's why I unsubscibed. I love ur simple app
Hi, I would like to suggest like Noteflight integrated the SoundCheck (powered by MatchMySound) that provides scores for pitch and rhythm, as well as total length played. It will be the perfect software ever to play if you do it, because you already have the best backtracking!!! Also one time Lifetime Subscription option.
This is absolutely incredible! A must have! It will help you bring your game to the next level. I'm a drummer and being able to loop, slow down and study parts so I nail them is exactly what I was looking for. You can also freestyle play, record your music and so much more! BUY THIS PRODUCT if you want to get serious about taking your game to the next level!
Wow what an zoomba of an App. Don't know what zoomba means but Tomplay app is a smasher. For a beginner it is a super help to get to read the music and know what it sounds like.
Purchased music which never arrived. Emailed support twice, no reply. Is this a genuine site or just a rip off site to get your money.
I suppose it's a cool app if you have a hard time with counting and maybe you don't understand the notes on the piano very well however as a classical guitarist I haven't found anything on here worthwhile just like you're going to get at guitar shops and beginning stuff there's not one serious classical guitar piece in here. Plus I can't figure out anywhere to cancel as I do not want to be charged after my free trial but I got a feeling that I'm going to be charged because I could not find
It's just a sales pitch. To do anything meaningful, you must open an account and start a 14-day trial (which I assume req's a credit card). Otherwise you get 3 beginner-level pieces (no matter what experience level you chose), and that's it. [EDIT:] Thanks for your reply. I see no way to access any other scores without starting the trial. (And $120/year to join—really??) Also, you can't exit the app! I had to open my system settings, return to home screen, and close the app manually. Hard sell!
I enjoy this app very much. As a pianist from way back, I always missed the opportunity to play music with others, and this app gives me that. The choice of music is good, a mix of pop/rock, movie music and classical. The only issue I have is that the sync is not always spot on - the moving bar to tell me where I am when playing with an orchestra. This could be because I am using device mirroring to get the accompaniment to come from my sound system, surely not an unreasonable thing to do.
I think this application is covering a great idea but have a lot of execution issues. The user experience is pretty bad. Changing tempo with slide control when playing with a phone is terrible. Also there is not way to save settings. The cursor is pretty off when you are using a Bluetooth speaker and getting it in sync with sound is almost impossible. I remove it from appearing unchecking the checkbox but I need to do it for each piece I play. There is not way to set that as my default setting. The worse thing I found in the application that made me to cancel my subscription is the sound quality for violin pieces. It is annoying hearing big breaths on pauses or the beginning of a phrase for almost all romantic music. e.g to check: Edgar compositions. I don't know why they didn't filter out those breath sounds. Also, the sounds has for some pieces extra reverberation e.g Bach pieces. I hope they fixed these things and improve the sound quality. I will continue using without subscription with the pieces I got and I will re-asses it in a year to update my review.
Some interesting and creative arrangements of songs, love the difficulty option also! Like the orchestral accompaniment - better quality than most. However as a pianist and saxophone player I find the library is currently small and very limited. There seems to be 2 or 3 new songs added once a month(most of which dont interest me) but I don't think that's quite enough for a monthly subscription service. Have paid for the year but will be looking elsewhere for the new year.
Not impressed with the customer service. Worse still with the technical support. Lodged a download issue some week ago and have since sent a reminder. Disappointingly, I have yet to receive even an acknowledgement! My biggest regret is to buy a one-year subscription. Otherwise I would have stopped my subscription straight away! Granted, Tomplay has a range of song selection. But there are quite a few similar providers now in the market place.
solid app! the importing options between browser and app are a little confusing. since I'm a beginner I've been using the Annotation feature heavily which is useful but clunky to use, and I spend a ton of time creating my annotations instead of playing. really like the broad selection of music and levels. I believe I've gotten further along with learning my instrument so far than I would have without Tomplay. worth the subscription fee if you can afford it!
I have a collection on my list that I never ordered and it doesn't show up in my songs. How do I get it removed from my history and credited? The Most Beautiful Film Music for Piano, Intermediate, Vol. 1 $18.99
It's potentially a great app, but for the price, the repertoire is quite limited. I won't renew my yearly subscription when it runs out, but I've had fun with it so far.
Astonishingly good! The price for a year is more than reasonable and you get access to lots of really good music in several genres. For an intermediate pianist it is a hugely useful tool since you can practise each hand separately while the other hand is played - and at any speed you choose. An incredible bonus is that some pieces have an orchestral backing. This really does give you a lovely (and false, alas) sense of your own brilliance!
