the software is terrible, incomplete and never likely to improve. They claim to be constantly improving the but there's been zero updates since Oct '17 The pc studio is equally poor rendering a great camera virtually useless. Today, for no reason the app won't move past the "Connecting" screen even though the camera states it is connected. Can't edit on laptop either, the files don't play properly, sound but no picture streaming. Files play fine outside studio but you lose though sensor overlays
Useless, almost as if TomTom has abandonded the bandit camera. Will not connect on the os for a new galaxy s21. Very disappointed that TomTom hasn't kept this camera software up to date. I've had my Bandit cam for a few years and now I can't use the one feature that really drew me to it, the shake and edit, which was great for quick videos while you go through for a longer one. Bummed guys, please fixing the stuck on connecting issue.
Simply useless. Issues when connecting to phone. issues when playing videos on phone. Issues with reading files and TomTom bandit studio on a Mac Book. Video files do not even appear on the SD card when plug into laptop. In a nutshell, incredibly useless, super frustrating and big waste of time and money.
Hasn't worked in years. Still doesn't. Just sits trying to connect via WiFi and never does. They've also discontinued their desktop app so been left with a camera worth several hundred pounds and no apps or software to enhance the experience
This app no longer works with Android devices. It freezes on the "connecting" screen although the devices displays "connected to the device". Typical tomtom support, issue that hasnt been fixed for nearly 12months!!! RUBBISH, MIGHT ASWELL GET A GOPRO
i dont leaving bad reviews but connectivity is an issue for ohines running up to date software, camera says im connected however the app doesnt reflect this. its a shame as i would like to see what my camera can produce. i guess this only supports up to Oreo. if you can advise when we might expect an uodate that would be great but considering the last update is nearly 2 years old probably means it wont
Just dug out my bandit after a year of none use only to have the never ending connecting screen. Quick seach showed the solution. SWITCH OFF MOBILE DATA. Crazy but it now connects stright away. It was a good app a year ago. No reason to think it is worse now.
Does not connect. The camera says it is connected to the phone, and the phone will be connected to the camera's wifi. Unfortunately, the app is stuck in an endless "connecting" screen.
Takes forever to load anything. This is if you can get it to connect in the first place, which you probably wont. such a shame as the camera is great. Tomtom, sort the app out.
Tomtom have abandoned this app. Won't connect to new phones and tomtom have blatantly failed to maintain the software to service existing customers. I wish I bought a Gopro now. So very disappointed I've now got a redundant expensive camera.
Totally let down by tomtom! Was a great camera but was abandoned early on by tomtom with no real support or updates. Now won't even work with it's own app due to android updates and no updates from tomtom. Should of bought a gopro and not wasted my money on the bandit. Real shame as this could of competed with the market leaders and been better than them if tomtom had committed to it.
Doesn't work anymore and no more updates, this camera was doomed from the start Official responses are to contact support, which is pointless as there is no intention of updating the app, support can't help you, don't know why this is even suggested, just admit the camera has been abandoned
This camera wasn't originally mine. My grandpa gave it to me. After that I kinda started exploring the camera and it works perfectly! The quality of the image is kind of lacking even though it's already at the 'high quality' setting. It is very easy to set up and it connects to my Samsung Galaxy A50 pretty quickly! I really like that the camera is waterproof, although I haven't put the camera in the water yet. I like this camera and I really recommend it!
endless connecting on phone, but it says its connected on device. great that an expesive bit of kit is now useless down to the team not keeping their software up to date.
Had the app a few years ago to set up my camera. It took a long time to connect and connection got dropped a lot. I just installed it back and now it doesn't even connect to the camera.
This used to be a great app and now all I get is the app continuously spinning trying to connect to the camera so the only way I can get my footage is to remove the SIM card from the camera and and insert into the laptop 🤬
Waste of time, my last TomTom product when I replace my rider I will go for garmin zumo, support is non existent I tried the 368 link and phoned support to transfer me and after 25 mins I hung up luckily I got the bandit to connect to my ipad but refuses to connect to my oneplus 6 running android 9, if I could have given it 0 stars I would have, looks like I need to take my ipad on holiday with me now which is not ideal when touring on a motorbike, very disappointed with tomtom support!
Connection is possible Switch off mobile data connection and go to WiFi network settings. Find bandit WiFi connection and now the app will connect to the bandit. I have a very new mobile android 10
Works fine for me. I have the viewfinder and can control settings. Perfect.
waste of time. won't open the camera. Just says connecting all the time and won't go past that. got a camera that i can't even use as can't set it up on the bike
Never once connected to the Bandit camera. The only Bandit is Tomtom selling devices and software that don't work at all. Ever. I want my money back you scumbag thieves

Asks aggressively to collect usage data but then fails to connect to the camera. Useless.
Shocking lack of updates means app no longer works on Android 9. last Tom Tom device for me.

Does not connect to phone. tried for 6weeks now... uninstalled/installed 5times... will not connect to phone... or tablet......
Seems this software is not compatible with the latest android versions, gets stuck on the connection process. Had to go back to my old samsung tablet android 7 for it to connect. TomTom why have you stopped development of this app. You have a crappy hardware life cycle if this is the case, what am I expected to buy a new action cam every 2 years because you can keep your app upto date.
