Not sure what the point of this is. It claims I can use it to set tones for individual apps, but when I open it, I get the same options that are in my phone's settings: ringtone, alarm, notifications. So how DO I set tones for other apps?? This is a NECESSITY for me; if my most important apps (like bill minders) don't have a unique tone, they'll get lost amidst the babble of junk email and game notifications.
Recently on Android 11, I'm unable to select a notification tone period all the permissions are correct, but is this app ever going to be updated to support anything past Android 7? Just curious I know it'll work on some devices running for example Android 10, and up until recently on Android 11 it worked.
Android PIE f'd up copying and pasting custom ringtones to the ringtone folder. NO RINGTONES WILL BE SEEN BY THE SYSTEM WHEN SELECTING A NEW RINGTONE, EVEN THOUGH MULTIPLE FILE EXPLORERS SHOW THEM THERE. This app fixes that and MAKES THE SYSTEM "SEE" THEM WHEN SWITCHING RINGTONES. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS APP, I WAS GETTING REALLY FN MAD 😱😂
Great, simple app. Fixes a mind-numbing omission on OxygenOS where tones can't be in .wav format and even .mp3 and .ogg format tones as required by OOS don't show up. Tone Selector fixes all of this with a simple interface.
I'm facing a problem here. It wouldn't last. Say I selected a ringtone today, it automatically switches to GOD knows what a few days later, so I'm required to constantly go into this app and switch it back. Please fix this, it's so damn annoying.
Worked perfectly. I was not happy with Huawei/EMUI's cringey default alarm tone and their decision not to expose the option to change this. But this app let me do so and it could not have been easier. Many thanks to the developer!

This app is great! My phone does not allow me to set custom notification sounds and this bypasses that
Simplistic and easy to use. Didn't work for me for OxygenOS to set a specific app's notification on Android 9, however.
sadly, while it does select .. it doesn't shuffle through ALL your music. there's no automation for variety
it doesn't work on Android One. No matter what you choose as ringtone it ends up with none chosen
It works just got to learn hoe to use it off of its labels but I like it once I figured it out where and how to make my ring tones
no correct working in Android 8 (but i'm not sure - mayne bug in other application)

While I am glad such app exist, it's a freaking shame one have to use these apps because Google dev teams are so disconnected with reality
Works well, however the internal storage of my device is labelled "sdcard" in the file selection menu, which is confusing and irritating. I would give this more stars if that bug was fixed. The file you select also automatically starts playing, which I wish you could shut off. (A preferable option would be to have the file play only when you touch the button that's currently used to stop the auto-playback.) Overall good but not great with one big bug.
