• 7500+ demo samples for effect preview

Note on USB devices: Tonebridge doesn't support USB connection devices like Behringer UCG102, Guitar Link, iRig UA, HD, HD 2 or iRig Pro. These devices use USB for connection, and Tonebridge currently supports only adaptors that use a headphone port for connection. Sorry for that, we're working hard to make USB connection possible. This app is quite frankly amazing. I tried deplike and did not have a very positive experience. Tried this, - amazed. So many great sounds that sound exactly how they sound when used by particular artists! Simple interface, love how you can get the tab up for a song while you use the right sound.Obviously there's the lag, but I guess that's just standard on Android. Strangely though the lag on my ancient redmi 3s is much better than on my honor 20 and wife's p30 pro!So give your old phone a try!

Works great! Just as long as you don't touch the effects toggle because it will start to make feedback noises and you'll have to restart the app. It has a noise gate but it won't help with this issue. I hope they fix this. Otherwise, it is a nice app when you want to play around with different tones without having to buy all the gear. (Using it on an irig and a 2020 released android mobile phone)

Sound is great, easy to use and nice interface. Only problem is that samsung privacy keeps telling me that Tonebridge is accessing the microphone even when the app is closed. Uninstalled due to this privacy issue. Would have been a keeper otherwise. edit feb 1 2019: Thanks for the reply. I have to disagree with you. This happens when the app is not running, even after restarting the phone. I hope you can fix this

So far, I love it. It's really easy to use, and the presets are overall pretty accurate. However, some of the presets give off a lot of static, and the volume can be hard to control. It would be perfect if the pedals in your favorites would save your settings once you get the effect, volume, and noise gate levels just right. Also, it's kind of glitchy. Sometimes I have to open it a few times before it will connect to the internet to log me in, and sometimes there will be an audio delay.

I think this app would be amazing if latency issues could be fixed across a broad range of devices, even the older ones. Also , I think it would be awesome if y'all could make it compatible with USB as well. I think the future is trending towards USB in guitar effects software. I know because I own the Irig 2 & I about to buy the irig UA. It really does have the potential to be the most awesome guitar app. (PEACE)

Really like the concept, been using it for a while. Audio sometimes cuts (no longer sounds) or even worse it starts to produce lots of feedback when trying to raise the volume or the FX level past middle ground. Also latency is not stable. :/ Still waiting if eventually they'll add custom user preset. I don't think they'll add it, but I might be wrong. Nonetheless it's a nice tool, if you play guitar you should try it. Maybe you'll have better luck than me. Set: Electric guitar, iRig2 on LG V20

I think this app is better than the alternative, which is "deplike" (android). The quality seems higher and the presets are perfectly spot on with the songs and artists they are simulating. The responsiveness is perfect when compared with how my 'actual' IRL amp is. Only gripe I have is that it seems that there's near to no customization. I could be wrong; if I am, then it's hard to find how you do it. For full customization, you should perhaps also have Deplike on your phone to use as well.

Could have been an amazing app but not quite. Still fun though. The version for Apple system was built to version 2.8, for Android it only made it to 1.4 and they dont support it anymore. The IOs version let's you edit the tones which will help you understand how to build the tones on real guitar pedals. But the android version doesn't have that. The tones are good but electronic tinny sounding. I think there are 11,000 of them. Its fun for practicing through headphones of computer speakers.

This app is great. However after checking on my iPad, the android version is missing 2 key essential features: editing a preset (I used this just to see what effects were used) and the workshop feature from the main menu where you make your own preset. This app is great it's almost there, if they add these 2 features I would give it a higher rating.

How do you address delay? There's about a quarter of a second delay. Turned off all other apps with my S9Edge to ensure phone processing doesnt affect but delay is still there. I give credit to having a wide variety of effects and the closeness to the original. However, I hope that you really will be able to address the delay issue and inability to work sometimes (for some reason you need to toggle Preview Sound on and off to work). The delay really breaks the goodness of the app. Giving 3.

This app is awesome. One of the best guitar apps ever created in my opinion. When noodling around and wanting to practice is so quick and easy to use. Works well with IK irig UA. Much better than iks own amplitube. It would be cool if they developed to include youtube video control like the new boss pocket GT app. But overall it's great. 4 stars because it hasn't been updated in nearly 3 years. I think it's starting to have issues with Android 11.

nac. A. Jan 1, 2020

All I have to say is WOW! After being screwed over by amplitube with the iRig2 I was afraid this wouldn't work but it works great with the iRig2. Given some of the tones are very, very off, most of them are spot on and sound great with little to no latency. If latency is an issue, try closing other apps and restarting. I hope more effects get added in time, please don't stop working on this!

Not as good as iOS version. I installed this on both my Note 9 and iPhone X. There is no lag on iOS but a significant lag on Android. It's a neat app but to really use it in a practical way, you need to have installed on iOS, otherwise trying to play along with a favorite tune will be a bit frustrating. I also noted that the iOS version was updated 3 months ago but Android received an update 9 months ago as of this writing. So there market is clearly the iOS crowd.

I'm having an absolute blast with this app! They have effects set up based on the sounds from certain bands or certain songs, example smoke on the water except, now I can play this easy riff w/right amount of distortion without having to tweak any knobs or swap gear. I should mention that I'm using an iRig device to connect my guitar to my phone, if I didn't already have this device I can't say for certain that I'd be having as much fun. But since that's not the case, a solid 5 stars from me.

I bought a super-cheap Irig from china and run the headphone feed to a powered speaker. Totally Kick-Ass! Sounds awesome and tons of different and really good sounds! Don't volume up to much in the app, or you'll get some serious feedback! It's second only to my Vox Jamvox because there is no versatility, expression, or sound switching. Love this App!

Chr. H. Aug 13, 2019

works more or less ok. The various gain sliders seem to be very clunky. As others have reported (many, many times) the app appears not to release the microphone sometimes. My phone right now is showing the red warning bar at the top stating that Tonebridge is using the microphone. The app does not appear to be running though... obviously a bug.

Sto. S. Jul 22, 2021

Sounds good enough when it's not latency laggy. I was able to dial back the input device volume and the phone volume and this helped a little. I then noticed that the app would run in the background even after closing all apps with the triple bar (android) it would interrupt other functions and notify me that it was running. I had to go into the settings to turned it off completely. Of the cellphone guitar apps this one has promise. Perhaps a newer phone would of helped. Mine is an S8+.

Enm. T. Jun 19, 2020

It's the best guitar effects app I've ever seen! I recommend it 100%. It is the best and its sound is spectacular The only detail is that for you to have a good experience with this app is that you must have a good device because otherwise the sound changes and does not give the same quality as having an iphone or a top processor phone with good ram memory. It is the best effects app for guitarists and I will never get tired of it! 🙌🏽

Dom. R. Apr 19, 2022

I use this app on my mini iPad and it's flawless. No latency issues, completely free and you can change pretty much any settings you want. Only thing I could ask for now is to duplicate pedals for my live settings. One with delay/reverb and then one with dry settings. Would be fantastic. 😊

Rob. F. Jul 22, 2019

Android, Samsung S9+.I regularly get the message "Tonebridge detected using microphone" during the day or night at a time when tonebridge is not running. I have 2 phones, one permanently connected to the guitar, so i thought the one phone was perhaps being reported on the other. But the guitar phone has been flat for 2 weeks now. Yet I still get the message on my main phone (Where tonebridge is also installed but not running.) Ideas? (Incredible app, privacy aside.) Thanks!

Jon. H. Jun 4, 2020

This is a really cool idea that just doesn't quite work. Latency is a constant problem and makes it unusable. Also there is a considerable amount of random static. I tried about 10 different pedals with and without distortion and couldn't get to zero latency. Sadly this very good idea is completely unplayable!

Mas. V. Feb 3, 2022

I really like the effects library, but the fact that the latency between strumming and hearing the audio is so slow kills my desire to want to practice. That, and the fact the app "works better with iOS devices" and my "inferior Android OS" (as I've been told by Apple owners) is why it's so laggy is infuriating. Now I'm faced with the ultimatum of spending hundreds on a new device or an array of expensive pedals. If it's available for Android, it should work close to or flawlessly for Android.

Joe. K. Aug 15, 2019

Funtional, but way too far behind iOS. Android is at approx. 1.4, iOS is at 2.3. Would be 5 stars it iOS and Android were at the same patch, simply because I want to be able to make pedals in the workshop. Another idea I would love (along with many others) would be the ability to see what effects are on a song's pedal. The Simple UI is nice.

Sim. C. Oct 7, 2021

Been using this along with UG for a while on the iPad and iPhone with very little to complain about. I do find that many of the presets require adjusting (perhaps this is due to everyones gear being different) mainly lowering the gain and bass. Unsure about the gain but the app itself appears extremely "bass heavy" and almost every time I need to dial most of it out. Unfortunately TB on the Chromebook the facility to go into all those parameters isn't included. Otherwise it would be five stars.

uum. Mar 31, 2019

Very nice sounds, you can use it with a Headset and an acoustic guitar, that's awesome. But the latency makes it very saggy to play a bit faster than learning tempo... I'd like sorting options like most played, most sounds per artist, newest and searching options (maybe through tags) that I can search for example 'distortion' or 'reverb'. But then again that would be obsolete if there was an effect generator, which would be epic.

Ric. W. Nov 24, 2019

It's good but the latency is so off putting. ☹️ Great effects and to be able to just select the song for the right effects is genius. However the delay/latency is so off putting it makes playing fast very difficult. When the effects are not selected there is no delay. Such a shame. I cant believe I just now found this because of a recent gift of an irig 2 for Christmas. I love the tones sooo much. I have a Samsung s20+ and through hours of trying so many different things.. Couldn't get the latency quite low enough not to be noticed, so close though. 😢 I also have the issue of the sound of guitar shutting off when playing with any other apps like YouTube or Ultimate guitar or just from my phones screen shutting off. I really wish I could use it so much, maybe someday.🥺

Dam. T. Jan 23, 2019

I tried tonebridge on Samsung Galaxy tab s3 and huawei Nova 3i. Tonebridge did give a warning to say medium fit and poor fit in terms of latency. respectively. The latency to me is completely impractical for use. I wish to ask the developers, what can I do to make the latency shorter on those 2 model devices? which is the best android phone with practically short latency? what would be the cheapest phone or device that I can buy used or new to run tonebridge well? Love what you are doing with the app.

Still waiting on the Laney Mini Stereo SuperGroup to arrive so I have been playing with the app. I am surprised that many of the sounds are 100% identical and some are just plain wrong for the Band/Artist sound they purport to represent? Is this bug? For Example, BBKing, Status Quo, Billy Joel all use the exact same high gain chord sound and progression. UPDATE: Since getting the Amp and trying this app I give it a thumbs-down. Way too laggy to be of any use. I have the most up to date phone OS.
