TOO BAD would be 5 stars but they got so greedy. the program was a good learning tool and the music was nice and at $20-40usd I signed up but the renewal now is $124 they sent me a discounts of 70% which they some how decided was $69 Sorry there are other apps out there and although I like tonostro better! But I will get along even if I end up using two apps the cost for both is less than $40 tonestro is a big disapointment.
I am delighted with my progress, taking into consideration I have not ever played a musical instrument at school. The app allows me to improve each time I use it, the pleasure is truly immense. I am indebted to Tonestro, my sincere thanks!!
This app is amazing and easy to use for me to practice using my saxophone. But everytime I try to play a song or practice notes, my phone will always close the app. This happens everytime I try to learn I am not sure if it's me phone or the app but please fix this problem.
This app is amazing, I could not recommend it enough. I've been playing the clarinet for 5 years, and needed to pick up the tenor for a class I'm taking (in a summer, mind you). This had me playing pretty alright in a WEEK. I would say not being able to skip lessons is a pain, if you already know the information in the lesson. But other than that, this app is perfect for learning the sax. If you don't have any experience with instruments, it's very beginner friendly as well.
Excelent program to start learning. It would be great to have posibility to mark some songs as favorite for repeating them later.
I just picked up alto sax for the first time, have a musical background in guitar and clarinet. Tonestro has been a fantastic tool and stimulus for me to learn a new instrument. It reminds me a bit of Duolingo, which I use for language. The gamify technique is very effective. I just subscribed for a year.
Wow, What a great app, my progress has been unbelievable since starting the lessons. My pitch and timing has improved significantly. What is really great is you can see where improvements are needed. Just love it, my music teacher is getting the flick.
Great app, I played the sax years ago when I was 13/14 and recently started ago. This app is helping me learn all over again. It's great to be able to use it when suits me because between looking after a home/kids and a job outside the home I find it hard to commit to a set time for lessons. Highly recommend it. I always struggled with lessons to read music but this app really seems to just work for me
There is an app, called ABRSM. It plays that piece, but does show notes. This one shows notes, but does not play. These two made by two separate groups of very strange people. Useless for beginners without both options.
I like the app and its fun to practice with. I just don't like subscriptions. If this was a one time purchase app it would rate at 5 stars. I used to play professionally and I decided to start playing again after many years of not playing.
It's great to use and have fun practising. Some songs seem to be broken though: I can't get a single note right on some songs. Tuning unclear to me.
Excellent, I've played saxophone for years, my timing has always been weak. Improved massively very quickly with this app. Premium seems expensive and can't find anywhere what more I would get for paying that much!
This is a great app. My tone improved instantly straight from the first exercise. It has helped me structure my practice too and filled me in with bits of technique I have neglected. Great work :)
I never give 5 stars (always room for improvement). Just started playing sax and this app is great for timing and pitch. I just started with the learning part I haven't even tried all the rest of the features!
I'm returning to playing the saxophone after an 18 year absence, and only a at beginner level prior to that long pause. I wish I apps such as this were out when I was in middle school learning the instrument!
Very good! But the app doesn't recognize my pitch... And it could have a computer version, because it would be easier to see the lessons.
This is amazing , I could recommend it to all beginner players
Good software and concept, songs available too small to take this as the main learning tool.. It's a good coach for rhythm though
Does not recognize my saxophone tone, so I cannot complete a single lesson. I am playing in a quiet room indoors without background noise. Cool concept, but it simply doesn't work.
I play other instruments, and absolutely loved this app until I had to pay to learn more than 2 notes. I would 100% rate this app a 5 star if you could learn more than 2 notes without having to pay so much.
Best app ever. You defintely learn how to read and play music from the app. Its like going to an actual music class. Also this has soo much to offer.
Ive just started playing sax about a week after switching from low brass and this app is the most helpful easy to under stand!! one question can you make it where after you choose the sax your trying to lurn it ask what cleft you can read becase i can only read trebble cleft?
Great app, love it and recommend it. I insisted setting up the wrong instrument and asking Dev team for help... They where very understanding and fast to help! Keep up the good work 😃
Works pretty fine but for some reason it thinks my c key is my b key for some reason?? I dunno if it's my saxophone or the app. Would not recommend if your a beginner as it will probably confuse you.
I wrote a review here before with four stars because of some bugs. The dev team have fixed all of them and made the app incredibly much better! Wow! Only app you need to learn how to play saxophone!
The notes don't register right, when I play a B it count it as an A. And when I play a C it counts it as a B. Over all it's great for beginners.
Seems like a pretty cool app. I wanted to try premium for the 7 days but when i click the 7 days free button, it just immediately wants to charge me the full yearly price with no 7 day trail. False advertising.. I am a first time user so it's not like I've already used up a free trial. Why would I pay that much for a full year without trying it first to see if it's even worth it? Otherwise I'll look forward to just using the free version for now.
