Too Good To Go

Great idea, Ponzi scheme execution. The app has accepted my purchase twice when a store was closed. When I contact the customer support by email I got an automatic response saying that the email address is incorrect. It's not as much about my eight bucks as it is about the principal to sell me something that is impossible to pick up. Please be careful and don't assume that the store is open before going.

Great app allowing to save money on food and reduce waste at the same time. A lot of restaurants and shops use it in my area so there are always good deals available. Of course you can't control what you buy and some restaurants/shops' bags are not super convenient. But once you know the ones that give good bags, you are all set for good food at a cheap price.

I feel like after using this app for decent amount of time, I have noticed a decline in my satisfaction of each purchase, I used to always have the impression I was getting a good deal and helping prevent food waste at the same time when if I couldn't choose what I was paying for. But more recently I feel underwhelmed by the amount of food recovered and the price stated doesn't always correlate with the product. And there isn't anyway to control that the stores are really for filling their oblig

Beside being THE most useful app you can find on all AppStores, it's also the best thing we needed. Trading food that would've been thrown away for a little money is great for both sellers and small income families. Saving the planet/preserving our environment and reduce our waste seems like a HUGE job for 1 person, but you can easily do a small part of it by saving food for a few coins. If everyone would do their part, there would no longer be any problems. Not all heroes wear capes you know ;)

What a great app. The variety of restaurants and groceries provided enough food for me to get by on in a super tight week. I've spent perhaps $25 and gotten over $100 in delicious food. The app works well in all aspects, even if it has the very faddish 'side scrolling' instead of logical up and down scrolling (that you can access by favorites). It does keep giving me an error of 'we can't do that right now', after it asks me to list the items in the bags. I hope they fix that.

Fantastic! Always wanted an app like this. The first time I used this, I had a bit of a failed adventure since I went for a popular pizza place that sold out during the day. However, I came back to get a few meals once my budget started squeezing tight and I cannot recommend it enough already. Make sure you check throughout the day and night because restaurants will put up their orders for the next day at different times. And of course it's best if you go in excited for a delicious surprise!

I really like the app and its services so far, and it's nice, and I think they're doing a great thing to help out, but the only thing keeping me from a higher review, is I really wish it gave you notifications when one of your favorites had bags in stock. I have ADHD, and I'm very busy, I don't have time to check the app every hour or so to see if there's new bags and I probably wouldn't remember to anyways, cause ADHD. But yeah, if there were notifications, it'd be perfect.

It's so nice to save food that could go to waste. Sometimes you may get your favourite pieces when you take a too good to go from your favourite café! What's more, if you want to try something else but you're scared to order it, the goodie bags can make you try the things you wouldn't have thought of trying. Cheap, good quality and ZERO-WASTE! what could be better?

The app is quite easy to use and caters more to restaurants and small food businesses which is great. It's important for users to know they're doing this go reduce food waste and you shouldn't be too picky if the quality isn't great or if products aren't always available. Businesses still shouldn't distribute unsafe or unwholesome food but overall I think it's still great!

I think the app itself is great and a great concept. I only used it once which was today. I don't like the fact that you can't read the reviews but have to rely on the score out of 5. I was disappointed with the food I got which was a dozen bagels. Also noticed it's mostly dough food (pizza, bakery, bagels) These restaurants are really profiting from this. It's great that the food isn't going to waste, but it's food that would have been thrown out!...stale bread!

I absolutely love the idea and the app is really well designed. Only started using it about 2 weeks and it really helps with groceries. Not only, I discover different food places but also able to pick up food at places I find too expensive to buy. Some people complain about food they don't eat or like, they can still give them away. It can be hit and miss but I have so far great experience using it and save money while reducing food waste.

One time I used the app, the cafe ended up cancelling my order because they were able to sell all of their food. I was sent a notification & refund. That worked out well. The 2nd time I used this app, I was able to purchase & collect my goodies. I showed the order on my phone & collection was easy. I deducted a star off the review b/c I feel like there could be improvements on showing the addresses. Separately, I have to look these up on Maps & proximity to public transit/walking distance.

We've used the app twice now and each time it was a different experience with the vendor. The 1st place was excellent with nice & friendly people and great quantity of food. The 2nd place , food was fresh but quantity was smaller & people not friendly. I wish I could set when push notifications are sent. It's usually too late in the day by the time I get them. I think it would also be good if I could set a push reminder for a specific vendor for a specific time to check for new offerings.

Great app, easy to use, easy to browse through all the participating venues nearest to where I live. Great variety of food to choose from. Just have to make sure to be organised in terms of checking when and which day to pick up preferred magic bags. Anyone who has certain dietary requirements, these magic bags may not be as good. Because each bag is mixed with whatever food is left over. However, if you make a request from staff working at the food venue, sometimes they comply.

A potentially great service once it catches on, but as of yet it's only so-so. Not enough places in my area use it and often the app prioritizes showing me what I was too late to buy instead of what's available. Some places lie about how big of a savings you're getting (one place listed $18 worth for $6, but it was a $12 platter item on their menu minus two of the three accompanying sides), but you never lose value or risk overspending. Highly recommended using for cafés, bistros, and bakeries.

Great idea but 2 issues 1 it stopped accepting Google pay card, so it very uncomfortable now to pay and it takes more time 2 when I try to order surprise bag and already try to pay for it, it abruptly says that there are no more bags left, even if there were several three second before. And it claims it was bought the same minute that I tried. Happened many times. Doesn't look clean. Makes you feel disappointed.

This app is a great idea and I was excited to try it. I have tried 4 places so far. But the savings are actually not true to value. It shows huge savings of food for which is $30 for like $5-8. But really all the food I received every restuarant just skimped out to actually give any real food and it was like ordering a meal for one or even less. Restuarnts serving meat & all sorts of stuff; and I received just a spoon of rice and some salad. Which can be easily bought for $5-8 or less. No saving

The app is a grest concept. However, the issue is mainly with the places you get the food from. I understand that it's so food isn't wasted but I literally got scraps left at the end of the day that no one wanted. It defeated the purpose because it went right into the garbage and I lost money and gas driving there. Reviews should be viewable so people are aware of the chances they are taking. Beware when using this app. It sounds good and the price is good if your okay with stale table scraps.

Updated review - Gave it another go and much improved. No further cancellations and the overall quality of magic bag left overs has been quite good. There is a problem though with some businesses using the app as a means to offer special deals daily. Some people might like that but it is not the intended purpose of the app. Easy to spot as they often have big collection windows instead of like 15 minutes to an hour.

I've used this 5 times now and so far I have only had 1 bag I'm not entirely happy with but even that got eaten, it just had duplicates so a bit boring. I may be lucky living in an area with a reasonable amount of stores participating and I still have a few more to try out. The food is good quality, and the variety has made me much more creative to use it up. Would like the option to review each store more fully though. Full marks Too Good To Go from me.

I've read good things about this app. I've heard good things about this app. I've nothing good to say about it, sadly. 3 orders now, every one cancelled because of lack of stock (hours ahead of collection time). Meanwhile, money from my account is on hold for all orders made, still 24hrs after cancellation. Not a great experience! I'm gonna try one more time, and if it fails again, stop wasting my time and loaning my money.

I had rated five stars previously as when it worked it was good. It now gets stuck on some payment security screen, and times out or glitches so is currently unusable. Edit: Updated again to 5 stars as can now use. I lost out on magic bags that day though! This is a great idea for resolving food waste, plus picking up some good deals, dependant on food outlet. I've mostly had good bags, but had the odd duff one. I try give fair feedback for each.

Decided to try and see what would be available as running short of food on a budget, proved excellent! Really easy to choose from a selection of places on the app. All done in a few simple taps. Very easy to turn up during the specified time period, show code on app, collect food bag. Excellent quality food. Good assortment of sweet and savouries including chicken, feta pasties, lemon drizzle cake etc. Very good value and a fun surprise parcel, saving waste and money. Will defo use again!

This app is aspirational, and well organised. I've only made three orders (a local bakery, a Starbucks, and a takeaway curry) so far, which have been straightforward, and pretty good value.👍🏻 The main thing to be aware of is the lack of choice in what each place might give you. If you like almost everything that a particular place sells then you can't go far wrong!😋 But you also can be caught out with foods/products that you will not like or use, and will probably end up wasting anyway!🤔
