This is the best To Do List app I've tried and I have tried many. I use it both on the web and my android phone. Syncs great. It allows sorting by pretty much every data point: task name, folder, tag, context, date added, date modified, priority, due date. Really fantastic if you like looking at your whole list but seeing it sorted in different ways depending on your priority at that moment. Truly thankful I finally found this one!
It was running great on my Samsung S6 until the last update. Now, when I check off a repeating task, it does not update it unless I close the app and open it again, and even doing that is an "iffy" thing. From the other latest comments, I'd say something went very wrong in the latest update... Update, May 6th, 2020- No response yet to any of the latest issues... It appears that the developer has, for some reason, lost interest. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. I'm uninstalling and will move on to something else. Toodle doo, Toodledoo....
Just started using toodledo to sync with Ultimate To-Do List and it is an order of magnitude about the sync with google tasks. Google has not improved tasks and it has fallen way behind. Really glad I found this. Edit: I'm using Ultimate To-Do List which syncs with Toodledo on my phone and bluestacks on my laptop. In the last few weeks I've been having multiple sync issues and my have to look for a new solution.
It could use improvement, but it's been an app that I use most extensively. Unfortunately, the app has been crashing more than three weeks, rendering it useless for me. I have 3 smart phones, and the app is crashing on all phone's, starting at about the same time. Please advise. I wish not to migrate to another app. Thank you.
This app just plain doesn't work. I have contacted toodledo twice now over a year about problems with the android app. Their response both times has been "We're coming out with a new version, in the meantime use the web interface on your phone." That would be fine if they ever released this "new version" but as I said, it has been at least a year.
App fixed! Deleted and reinstalled it! I was having the same problem as everyone else. When you touched the Toodledo icon in Android, it started to open and then just crashed. Deleting it and reinstalling it fixed it. of course it took awhile to reload all of my tasks since I use this app for everything, but it's working now.
On Nokia 7.1 Android 10, app repeatedly failed to open earlier in March, although the widget worked. I uninstalled and reinstalled app. The app now works but the widget does not. Update: A full day after the widget sat "empty" on my phone, it finally populated with all the missing tasks. So everything seems to be working now. I raised my rating from 2 to 4 stars.
android alarm and notification issues: i have used and subscribed to premium toodledo tiers for many years, always went back to it after trying others. the desktop part of the application is great due to deep customization and sorting features, however the android app has always been lacking in many ways, and is not intuitive. recurring issues with alarm reminders, and only acknowledgment from tech support of the issue with no resolution or time frame for one given. i am searching for alternatives due to what i believe have been a slow decline for toodledo. i rely heavily on reminders via android (2018 samsung galaxy j3 achieve, and other medium end galaxy phones prior, with same lack of consistency with alarms/notifications). i really wish they could get it together, as i really have come to rely on their product
This app is useless. The UI is outdated, the sunchronization does not work well (I have tasks that I created on browser wich are not synchronized in the app. I don't know why). There is almost no integration with other system like google or Microsoft (limited integration with google calendar). For information, I have a paid subscription.
Terrible app. Removed synchronization from 3rd party apps (unless you give them $60/year). Not sure if it removes sync from the official app. Wouldn't be surprised, though. I'm sure they are removing synchronization because their app is so terrible compared to Ultimate Todo List. Oh well. Todoist is a fantastic alternative. Already bought a premium membership from Todoist. I refuse to support a company like toodledo. I don't have a problem supporting a company for providing a good product (hence my todoist subscription). But I do have a problem supporting a company that provides a sub-par app and then goes out of its way to limit accessibility for other better developed apps.
Easily the best task manager around in terms of functionality, versatility, and value for money, but sadly, Toodledo has always been let down by their apps, which are dated in their appeareance and extremely clunky to use. I really wish they would update the look and bring modern features like swiping into them.
App stopped working. On Samsung Galaxy 9 it immediately closes whenever I attempt to open the app. I've tried various trouble shooting to no avail. Reading on forums it looks like I'm not the only one. A shame, since I've been Been using this as my sole to do list for many many years years. I guess it's time to find a better app. I'm so disappointed since I've really really liked this app for so long, but it no longer works.
I love everything this app can do. I used it for a quite some time and really liked it's functionality and features. BUT.. I just couldn't get past the UI. It feels outdated and clunky. The design is just not on par with other contenders in the field. If it got a makeover, I could definitely use it again.
Toodledo is under new "ownership" and new developers since 2021 which has breathed new life into the web app for sure. and they reenabled the forum and have been working on the android and apple apps. This version is the deprecated version and i think you have to search for the toodledo (next gen preview) -- note it is early access but looks and sounds promising.
I've used this app for several years, primarily on the PC, and was mostly happy even though I missed several functions in the app, but the app stopped workinh Samsung A40 and A8. I have reported the problems with a log via email with no response. I worry ToodleDo is no longer supporting the app. Update 9 August 2020: I have a new Samsung S10 and got the app to work to create 4 tasks, but additional tasks just disappear. :(
Using Toodledo App is a bad experience that I have had. The online service is great and useful but the app design kills the functionality and usability for a regular and advanced user. Please, focus on the mobile app because there are lot of services like yours that is more advanced and updated. I will wait for this app update to change the service I am using (not Toodledo). Everyone prefer online and app syncronization but with a good interface and usability.
This used to be a decent app. Recently they raised prices for the premium version quite a bit. That is not my complaint though. My complaint is that in addition to asking for more money they completely ignore communications. I have sent several communications as a paid member and gotten no response at all. I have even responded to their emails asking for a response and gotten nothing back when I responded. It appears that this app and service is going down hill fast.
I used Toodledo for 10 yrs with DGT GTD. The web & app interfaces are outdated, but the Pro price was a reasonable ~$1/month / 2-yr subscription. They haven't improved the interfaces, but they amped up the price last year. I can't use the free version, because my list items exceed the artificial $0 and $3/mo. levels. I was apparently using Toodledo at the now $5/mo. level. I contacted the developers. I've waited a year to see if they used the increased $$$ rates to improve the web+app. Sadly not
I want my money back. I paid for the Android app and it absolutely stopped working. I can't even figure out if I can export all my items. I guess I'll try on a desktop, but I use my list manager exclusively on my phone.
New version (6.6.9) doesn't sync properly. Repeating tasks aren't downloaded. I'm a longtime user, so I hope they fix it. Useless to me currently.
The Android app is absolute garbage and will lose tasks / not sync, etc. But the desktop version is fantastic. I'd only recommend Toodledo if you're only going to be using a browser or if you're willing to use a third party app that will sync with your browser data.
This very helpful and power task management platform and app. In mid (/late) March the app stopped working - app wouldn't open. That's when I realized how dependent I am on the app. However uninstalling and reinstalling seems to make it work again.
Using this app for many years now. Always been an excellent fit for me. But recently the search functionality crashes constantly. Both on my android 10 pixel 3a and android 9 galaxy tab 5e. I have a lot of tasks, so searching is essential. Please fix this to regain the fifth star.
This is the best To Do app (and web as well) you will ever come across. It is very well thought application. Tasks, subtasks, lists, habits, outlines and notes. Plus there are so many features which accommodates requirements one may have.
I've subscribed to Toodledo for years and it has NEVER worked well for me! I have wasted HOURS re-entering lost data, looking for data I just entered and trying to figure out how the software works. I've concluded that it simply DOESN'T work. It is the buggiest software I've ever tried to use and I'm finally getting smart and giving up on it. I'm cancelling my subscription and looking for a task manager that really works.
