Toontown: Dessert Storm

Welcome to Toontown: Dessert Storm!

The game takes place in the fictional world of Toontown, a wacky town, inhabited by cartoon characters called Toons. They are on a mission to defeat the evil robot Cogs who are planning to take over Toontown, by turning Toon buildings into nasty Cog buildings. Fortunately, the Cogs cannot take a joke - Toons can easily defeat them with Gags, but these pesky Cogs will not let themselves be destroyed.

Toontown: Dessert Storm is a brand new take on Toontown. It finally makes its appearance on the small screen - full of new features, additions, and locations. This is the one and only full Toontown port to Android.

The Cogs are smarter than ever! They group up to take Toons down, they power up, heal each other - they're truly a force to be reckoned with! Some of them are impatient - they will attack you before you even get the chance to introduce yourself!

Explore a brand new timeline, full of twists, surprises and familiar faces. Will the Cogs carry out their newest plan and turn Toontown into a metal business metropolis, or will YOU and your fellow Toons prevail over their malignant plans? Be careful, though -- danger lies closer than you think.

Join today - be the Toon you always wanted to be! Are you Toon enough?

It's not the best Toontown remake that I have ever played and the controls could definitely use some work, bit it's the only version for phone so It's not all that bad. Fortunately the controls only affect getting from place to place and mini games, so there isn't a disadvantage in fights. Also since it has very few players it is nearly impossible to finish the make a friend quest.

Extremely hard to control character. They should have made it to where you can just tap where you want to walk, but you have to hold your finger and slide which way to go, and the characters overshoot every time. It makes walking around and playing games extremely difficult... I'm just gonna stick to the PC version. Let me know if y'all change this and I may reinstall. Also, a "remember me" option would be great. It's a pain in the butt to type out user and pass -in landscape mode- every time.

It's truly a marvel to see this old PC game get ported to Android. The new storyline content is also pretty cool. But as it is, at the time I write this, don't play this on your phone. The buttons (NPC dialog continue arrows especially!) are literally unchanged from the way they are in the PC game, which means they're way too small to tap on and use efficiently. I say use a big tablet or an emulator to play this if you want best experience.

When I first downloaded the game about 3 or 4 months ago it ran pretty good. I don't recall it crashing at all. Now I have an average of 4 minutes 50 seconds before it crashes. Every time I play it crashes. I changed nothing on my tablet prior to this happening. I 've checked and done everything to trouble shoot this etc wipe cache, wipe data, even factory reset still happens plenty of memory. please help. i have an Asus ZenPad Z10 ZT500KL. Android 7.0.

PLEASE NOTE: THE CURRENT VERSION ON THE PLAY STORE DOES NOT WORK. THIS REVIEW IS FOR 1.0.7, WHICH CAN BE FOUND ONLINE. I have been looking for a way to play Toontown for a while now, as I only have a Chromebook and an Android phone. Thankfully, this game works great (see above for working version). The controls are a little buggy and the playerbase is tiny compared to other private servers, however that doesn't take away from the game being just as fun as the original.

LOVE the fact that this has come to mobile. Its closer to the original TTO, includuing field offices. The controls are a bit difficult and take getting used to, but overall, fantastic. Love the new cogs that were added as well. Its lovely to be able to play on the go!

Overall, this is a great game. I remember playing TT when I was a kid and it brings back memories that I missed. The one thing I'd like to add as far as gameplay goes is that the controls are a little wonky. The sensitivity is really harsh, meaning that if you slightly try to move in one direction, it'll turn you all the way around. And the movements aren't that smooth. I'd also like to note that while it seems like this is a multiplayer game, I have yet to actually see people on here. I'm not sure if the original TT had where you could see the people moving around on the server, since it was so long ago, but hopefully this will get fixed sometime soon? Either way, I'll definitely be recommending this to my friends. Thank you for bringing TT back. ♡

it's pretty similar to the original version. Had a little trouble in registering bcuz the keyboard wouldn't pop up for me to type, but after reopening it seemed to be fine from then on. My biggest complaint would be that since the game lacks sufficient players, I would take out quests that require multiple players, cuz I haven't seen a soul (legit 6 whole players). Or maybe add a chat function where we chat with all servers. If you're playing this game, hit me up @Good ol' Dusty Nutterbutter.

I tried to download but after it updated, it kept on crashing. I have a Samsung Galaxy 10e, with 2GB of RAM and enough storage space. I love toontown so I already know the experience is fulfilling but I'm really bummed out it wont even work

The app's broke, would you ever come back to fix it? I'd happily change my review, the game crashes after it finishes downloading all the files. I miss this game bc my pc broke and there's no way for me to play toontown anymore without dishing out hundreds on a new pc... Please come back to stabilize it, there's no need for any major updates

The game worked for me, but it was a bit tricky for me to put off the keyboard and I had to register on their website. I did get the Nostalgia from it, the loading is really long but well it's something difficult to make it work on the phone. They did what they can, still praise their effort, such things takes a lot of time.

to be honest, i was doing random ratings. So i tried to play the game on a laptop, but it just crashes. it worked the first time, but i naver got past the tutorial! Also mobile to me had some features that were removed, on mobile, it's 7 files. In the PCs, it's 15 FILES.

I've pleasantly enjoyed my start to this game. It truly is a huge shame this game does not get updated or any attention from its creators anymore. Despite the lack of players, they still exist. Its quite annoying trying to find someone, especially if you need to complete the make a friend tutorial task. But they give you the ability to skip to a certain playground. Is it a good game? Yes. Does it have good devs? I'd say they were good. It just needs more love.

Game won't work at all. As soon as it starts, it asks you to log in. I don't have an account, so I tapped register now. When typing in my account information, nothing I typed except for punctuation showed up. I was unable to even make an account to get in. Fix this please. I was excited when I saw a toontown game for mobile devices, but not being able to play ruined it completely.

After simply downloading the game, I opened it up and got to listen to maybe 3 seconds of the theme song, and then it just crashed! I've written several feedbacks to explain this and anytime I open the game it just crashes. Nothing is wrong with my device, I've checked, I'm just confused as to why I'm unable to play.

So it does run and honestly its quite amazing! Feels like toon town just.. A wee bit different to the original. Tbh theres some AMAZING things they did -skip exp earn screen -skip trolly games -bean bags in the cities -an upstairs to your house And then theres some stuff i wish was different -buttons instead of full screen (jumping is hard so id guess hqs and dollar mints would be close to impossible) -buttons are still really small so hard to click sometimes all and all amazing tho!

Pretty much how I remember the game was in my youth, the controls are a bit funny to get used to but also easy, however we need to get more players!! Forever alone stuck on the mission to get a Friend. But commend dessert storm for their amazing efforts in rebooting this nostalgic game :)

Sometimes it boots you off but I've learned a way to not get booted off by restarting my game every half hour. It was a little tough to control at the beginning of me playing it. It's fun that the cogs will spawn into a different cog because if you need a certain kind, then you can find one that's more common. For example need a corporate raider? Find a micromanager, wait 3 turns Viola! You got your corporate raider! Anyway, I love this game! But I'm sure yall know bc you guys are the developers

I can't even play anymore. The game loads to the 1st screen instantly crashes i know its not my phone since I was able to play on it before. If you actually want people to play your game then you have to keep on it ill change rating back to 5 stars when I can actually play.

mac. c. Mar 3, 2020

The log in needs to change....i can't see what i type in and doesnt register that i typed anything. plus when i was in the game it needs a better joystick control or something for movement. If this is the case i would just like to restart my 7 day double gag xp when this is fixed. Troublesome i cant even use it

I play every day and think this game is amazing. Sure controls take some getting used to but remember this was made for PC. To make this game an app is a dream come true. Cog invasions are awesome and the loyal players are amazing and very helpful. Small population but that just means I know nearly everyone who plays. I couldn't have made a better Toontown game myself. I just wish there were more players.

S. R. Nov 5, 2020

I haven't played it much but I'll say, it's really really hard to play because of the way you have to controll the character and all the text/buttons are wayyyy too small. Also, why does the name and icon for the app have NOTHING to do with Toontown? It'd be easier for people to find if it had something to do with the game.

A. G. u. Apr 20, 2021

Positive: finally toontown on android, tp from the task, new cogs Negative: working on android 9 but it crashes and it doesnt open on android 11 device, unfriendly touch ui, i dont like the design for the new tech cogs, strange game name it doesnt include toontown, unavailable for ios Summary: make it easier for people to recognize it on the play store that its toontown, redecorate the game with friendly touchscreen ui, including the login screen, let us use the TTR account

Bai. S. Oct 16, 2019

I'm trying to make an account but the boxes are empty after I type in a username, password etc. I tried multiple times and it keeps doing the same thing. This game will be amazing once I can make an account.

Bra. A. Nov 2, 2019

Literally can't play on Google pixel 3. On the pixel 3 the back button is always on and in the create-a-toon process at the start of the game I couldn't press the small "next" button because it was exactly where the back button is on the pixel. Please change where the button is or make it bigger I was looking forward to playing this.

Great remake, just needs touching up, the controls are a little awkward but are manageable but would prefer one side of the screen to move and the other to look? Also crashes everyonce in a while and im on a s9

Tow. T. G. Aug 18, 2020

I love this game. It's a little glitched at times, but still an all time favorite, also, for those who are having trouble typing, try to restart the app. If that doesn't work, clear the cache/data. If THAT doesn't work, then uninstall and reinstall the app. If THAT doesn't work, then you obviously can't play it. Maybe try playing it on a different device? But still, 5 stars I LOVE THIS GAME!!! (Also, please download. We REALLY need more people online...)

Tay. Mar 9, 2020

Upon loading into the game I was greeted by a login screen it was extremely hard to navigate using my mobile device, but the worst part is my phone wouldn't allow auto-rotate and I'm using a pixel so I could not complete my character all I could do was choose boy or girl I could not select the next and because My phone wouldn't rotate I could not complete my character. Unfortunately the game is completely unplayable for me. I would love to see this updated because I care about Toontown.

Roc. R. Jan 28, 2020

I can't type a username or password! Very frustrating... it would be amazing if activision could recreate this because they did a pretty good job on cod mobile considering it has good graphics and you can actually control the characters!!!

Please fix it so I can play no matter which device I am using. Thanks for your attention to my beloved game. It doesnt even open on my table s3. I've always loved playing Toontown and was so happy when it came to mobile. This app even with minor issues was very fun and convenient. It still runs on my Samsung tab s2 but has not been opening on my Samsung tab s3.
