Guys, what happened??? This was working perfectly a few weeks ago and since an update, it's laggy, I have to close it often, it just straight up fails and errors sometimes. This was my GO-TO, and it really hurts that I can't just open it, look for a card and get on with my life. I have the full offline library downloaded, it's not that that cards aren't there or network issues, it's software upon launch. Is this something you guys can look at? Other than that, 100% the best app you can get.
Free version is too limited. I was making inventory of my cards, which the app makes easy to find the right version of one's cards & add the quantity of each, however I was shocked to find that it's limited to 375 cards total! I barely scratched the surface with my inventory! I went to check how much it would cost for the upgrade and can't believe that it is $4.99 PER MONTH. $49.99/yr is not even an improvement! I would like a LOW COST 1-time buy option. I can't export my inventory w/o upgrade!!
An easy to use app for deck building and card searching. I personally haven't had any problems with lag or certain features not loading like other reviews. The pictures of cards are clear and the prices are from what I've seen current and accurate. I only have the basic unpaid version, so I can't speak to if it's worth it for the paid versions. I couldn't pay $5 a month for a card app, if it was a yearly subscription or something maybe. Overall I'm very satisfied.
Not good for new or casual players. I really liked this app at first, I wanted to test out the deck building function so I spent a few hours typing cards into the collection. I was planning to buy when I got to 350 cards (the free collection limit) until I discovered that the full version of the app is subscription, $70-100 a year 😲. Way too much for a new player that doesn't need any of the other premium functions. Free version won't even let me export the card list so I've just completely wasted my time. Disappointed.
Great app for newbies or advanced collector. I love the fact that the phone app syncs with web app so that I can go between desktop or laptop PC and cell phone. Also, each has it's own slight nuances in terms of features, but that's a good thing because certain feature not found in one I can jist switch to the other. Free version is great, and for $4.95/month extra service is really worth the money. Love it!
I don't use this app very often, and when I do, it's generally to jot down a deck concept I'm working on. However, once probably every 2 or 3 times I open the app, it has to redownload a bunch of card data, which takes several minutes, during which time the search feature largely doesn't work. Even under normal circumstances, though, the search engine is clunky, and deck changes occasionally fail to save.
The app is beautiful. However, that being said I took the "test multiple decks" and "commander support" to mean I could play test 4 decks at once, but I was mistaken. I'm not sure why this isn't the case, the simulator setup seems like it could accommodate that easily. Additionally, the clunkiness and slowness people are experiencing (it happened to me too) seems to be from the card images loading, as the app fills up the cache. Once the cards have been loaded the app is smooth.
Excellent app and I've only used it for about 30 seconds. The one thing I noticed almost immediately is that there's no way to view the cards full-screen. PLEASE update that and try to use HD images of cards. MTG is a great game and the art definitely deserves to be viewable in better detail. Thanks for the great work!
I installed the app because I thought it would be more convenient than the desktop version. However the app seems broken. The tabs at the top work when cycling through different functions etc work but actually selecting ANYTHING doesn't work. Create new deck, edit binders, search function everything! just doesn't do a thing. I think I'll stick to the desktop version until this is corrected.
This application contains absolutely everything you might want for tabulating a Magic collection. Its core features are completely free, and, if you want to go deep, it's subscription features are incredibly helpful for maintaining a large Magic collection. The fact that your decks and collections are stored on the cloud means that everything is automatically backed up, and you can access your information from another phone or computer. I absolutely recommend this to any Magic fan.
Awesome app, but way too expensive!! This app is by far the best cataloguing app I've found for mtg by far, unfortunately the 375 card limit to how many cards you can add to your collection makes this useless to me. Also the fact that it's a monthly or yearly fee instead of a one time fee is a ripoff. This app is awesome, but the features are far too limited if you don't pay, and making it a recurring fee instead of a one time fee is just greedy.
Slow to load sometimes and most of the good features are locked behind a significant paywall. Once Archidekt comes out of beta or gets an app I will switch over in a heartbeat. The most annoying thing after a recent update is that they added art for Magic online to all the cards, which I can't see how to disable. I don't play magic online so I will never need the alternate art and if im searching for a specific printing it can bog down the list.
The ap looks like it could be really useful, but not for a monthly fee. Plus, the 500 card maximum makes the ap a joke. If you've been collecting for more than a year, you own more than that. Especially if you've purchased a full precon commander set. I'd happily pay a 1 time charge to unlock specific features 10 for deck build assistance 5-10 for simulator 10 for unlimited card storage. Even though a million cards would take up next to no space on a server because it's just checking off a list.
App promises great, fluid and helpful features and delivers nothing but inconvenient hangups that, when implemented in a 2-300 card lookup, becomes quickly very tiresome. The best feature on the app is the card lookup, and it doesn't even work for cards you're looking for in a list you've created. There's no ways to change the sorting method of cards in your decklists. While the stats for decklists are helpful there's no interactivity within it and sometimes it displays absolutely incorrect info
Great app! Even though there are limitations and a considerable price tag, I dont see any other mobile app being nearly as good as this one. Well worth the sub for me. Dream features: It would be awesome to see right in the top8 list how many cards you already own of that deck without having to go through a few menus and do some math. Similarly being able to see what meta decks you are close to in your collection would be cool. Thanks for the app!
So I really like the app although I wish you could add a bit more cards and that a little less was behind a paywall. The problem I'm currently having is I added too many cards to a deck so i could decide which I want and remove them little by little but now the app is really slow constantly freezing and crashing and when I get to the deck its constantly "validating" it wont even let me remove cards. Besides that great app.
My review was deleted. Everything the app does is AMAZING. But it limits you to only checking off 500 cards in your collection unless you pay monthly. I understand "having to keep the lights on", but charging monthly to check off a list of cards you own? I know I'm not alone saying I would happily pay a one time $20-30 to unlock unlimited use of services. I'd even pay $10-15 for just unlimited card storage and you can keep monthly fees for the extra features. With how it's set now, you get $0.
Last update introduced some bugs, mainly on my sideboard list. Warnings of more than one copy but only one added, on the search it shows always the last searched card, cards with adventure with warning of more than one copy but only one added. However the support was fantastic, I sent some screenshots and right now I'm not facing the problems anymore. Big high-five to support and for the great app 🙌
I've used this app for at least 2 years and have upgraded to the full version for more deck space. It's a very streamline and straightforward deck organizer with plenty of additional content. it's a free application that you should absolutely try out.
Very awesome Magic app. Definitely a must-have for all players! Creating and saving multiple decks is extremely easy, and finding the cards you want is very easy through filters as vague as: rules text, color(s), CMC range ("maybe it was around 5 mana?"), and parts of card names. The customer service is the best I've ever seen on any app, website, physical store, or anywhere! The creator of the app himself is more than happy to live chat with you for several minutes to help solve any problem related to the app. Top-notch! I recommend this app to all my friends, and anybody who wants a simple way to organize their cards and decks, or even just create a multitude of hypothetical decks like I do ("can I make a deck with nothing but artifacts, no lands or creatures?"). I've used this app over the last several months to create my ultimate deck that can beat all my friends consistently. I honestly cannot recommend it enough!
Has a decent enough base experience, the constant reloading of every asset whenever you switch to a different screen within the app or between apps does begin to grade on your nerves if you're trying to multi-task on your phone. Surely with increased phone RAMs it would be able to be utilized to prevent some of this.. Overall decent app tho.
SHORT VERSION: if you are good with a monthly subscription fee, the app is well made. The free verson is absolutely worthless. LONG VERSION: Wanted to record my collection. Spent hours painstakingly typing in each card till #1001 (duplicates) then hit a Paywall, hard. Maby a single line of text in the many MANY popups and pages warned of a card cap. But im not going to pay, dont care about advanced features, and i didnt see any warning. you people wasted my time and i kind of resent it.
The navigation at the bottom of the screen is inconvenient. I had to change my phone settings to use it because it interfered with certain buttons on my screen. Wasn't worth the change and deleted the app.
Disclaimer: This is potentially a problem unique to my phone, and I believe this app is worth your time. Actual opinion: It looks like a really solid app with useful features, but I can't make use of it because the tabs at the bottom of the screen are covered by the home, back, and chapter buttons on my phone. If there's a way to change the layout, or even just shrink the app screen a little, this would immediately become a 5 star rating.
