Love the smart home features with turning devices on and off. Although I bought 6 of these plugs because it said that it tracks electrical usage, and I was abit disappointed with how inconvenient it is to view that data. It would be much easier to see the electrical usage all on 1 document with the info from each plug. Ideally it would have multiple time frames and smart home analysis features as well.

I've had no problems connecting to Alexa or Google. The problem here is the power goes out often for a few minutes, your plugs turn on and stay on until I notice. One is a heater! It runs ALL NIGHT if I lose power at night. Other companies have a switch in the app to turn off plugs if there is a power interruption. I hope you will address this issue. I'm overall happy with the setup of this app. I have switches, smart plugs, and smart outlets... all were very easy to setup. Once you get into things as a 'power user' the overlap between scenes and a schedule on a certain channel can get annoying... it would be great if these concepts were merged (see scenes that an individual smart device is associated with) so I not wandering through everything to undo a setting for a light I no longer want to turn on.

It has potential, hope to see more improvements I bought 8 plugs for the purpose of energy monitoring and it's nice to see it can interface with smart devices. There are a few features I'd like to see implemented however. I want more statistics views with the option to export data. It would be great to see energy plots from multiple plugs on the same graph or as individual subplots stacked vertically.

Great value. It's an easy, reliable, and accurate within 2% (tested both voltage and current with my best multimeter) to get consumption data both instantaneously, and over a period of time. The ability to power on and off remotely from anywhere with internet connections is super cool. I just moved 1 to the detached garage to provide light before i enter at night. I moved another to the plug in attic fan(thermostat controlled) to switch on or off just for fun!

The plugs are fantastic, I'm very happy with the purchase. The app is quite the problem maker. I've used the app daily since early January 2021, it's stability/usability has been in steady decline. Most of the time the graphics will not load in the individual outlet screen. A dark mode would be nice, along with being able to plus in rates from the utility company for more spending analysts. The app brings a 5 star product down to 3 stars.

This TG smart plug software is garbage. I've tried multiple times to sync my smart plug to no avail. Reset the unit each time , and tried to pair with it after getting a blinking light. If I could give this product zero stars I would. Maybe the hardware is fine but the software sure isnt. Don't waste your time with this garbage if you want to avoid endless frustration.

Good app with good easy to use hardware. App needs to handle data updates from the devices in the background while not blocking the main app thread. You have to tap on a device in the list multiple times to get it to open during a data update. Edit: Thanks for the response. It would also be nice if the hardware could remember it's last state, on or off, after a power outage and turn back on if it was on at the time the power went out.

Trying to install these device using the EZ Mode failed every time. Once I was able to determine how to use the AP Mode, I found that syncing the devices came with much ease. The instructions for following the AP Mode should be given more detail. Once you determine that instead of connecting to your local WiFi connection and actually connecting directly to the devices' Bluetooth signal, the installation is a piece of cake. *Most importantly, this application should come with a DARK MODE option.

Excellent product, esp for the price. Two things would be helpful. 1. Post the name of the device on the statistics page. I have 4 deployed and once I get to statistics page I can't tell which one it is. 2. Make it easier to reset the kwh for a specific device. I assume it can be done but I still haven't figured out how.

Horrible app, fails to connect often when setting up. Four plugs, despite connecting to my wifi (solid green), the app fails to locate them and times out. Any attempt to use the AP Mode to setup just results in it constantly asking you to select your WiFi network and will not allow you to continue the setup. Packed them up and sent back to Amazon.

Tried 10 times to connect the plug to my wifi and the app, failed every time even though I followed all directions. Especially frustrating since it takes 2+ minutes for each attempt...never seen a smart device take so long to attempt to connect. Edit: yes, I am using 2.4 connection. Like I said, I followed all directions.

I've had no trouble with this app. Under Smart it took a little longer to figure out there was an automation tab that handled more of what I wanted to do (Sunset On and Sunset Off). Having little trouble with it recognizing gps lately for area timing (I need to figure out if it is my phone, phones setting or their app. But all in all, these wall switchs and topgreener automation i wanted have been solid.

I have my whole house wired with these, 30+ devices. Work great with Google and the app offers a bunch of automations Google routines does not. Together they can to almost anything. Wifi connection can be a pain in the butt but if you chose to connect in AP Mode it's very fast and works first time every time. Personally my only con is they don't offer a single thing for ceiling fans when the other smart companies do.

Great products! I only wish there was a widget for this app, so I can turn off the smart plug quickly. As I use one of these smart plugs for my lamp and loading up the full app is slower than me turning off the light myself manually. Oh and it would be great if the energy monitor could measure different stuff on an individual basis.

Update: I realized the issue was my ISP dns servers. When I started using another dns server it started working again. Was not the products issue. Initial review is below. Worked fine for a while then suddenly stopped working. I contacted tech support and they said several people are having this issue and that was all the tech support I got. The outlet I have is connected to a 2.4

Great app to serve a great product. RECOMMENDATION!!!!**Add an estimated monthly payment or a price meter per kwh to make estimates more precise(similar to what WeMo does but their other stats are non existent. Topgreener is the better product. Just one feature away from perfection**I love the highly detailed energy monitoring so i can see what my devices really use even while "turned off" I saved hundred of dollars a year bring able to simply have my other shut off devices when I'm not home.

Works great for switches. I also use it to monitor my Bitcoin mining rigs power usage. The app tracks all the kw used every day and month very useful for my power bill. I'm using 1200w on each outlet 24/7 and the top greener plug is a little warm but can handle 15a. I also use it on a light in a room that can be turned off with the app.. amazing really.

doesn't work! I bought 4 of these and took me about 1 1/2 hr to get it going but ....Nope! search can't locate and manual installation continue to fail after 100% reached in pairing....very stupid. In addition to that it is physically oversized. You can't plug anything but just this device ....wasting other electrical outlet. I am returning all and recommend all of you to do the same. I hope this message help you save time and money.

Good app but Location doesn't work because I think they have to pay Google to be able to use the Google Map. i tried with three Android devices, Samsung A8/android 9, Asus tab 10 /android 7, zte /android 6 ... none of them show me the map. Location is enabled. Messages / notification are not easy to delete . Now he want to blame it on my device. I'M not a newbie.

I see that the app has not been updated for a year and a half. (Since Nov 2019.) It does not give you the hourly usage, which I was hoping to get out of this. Just the daily usage, which is not conducive to finding an energy leak at night. Since this app is a rebranding of smart life, the developer's did not actually make the app. I will probably send the devices back to Amazon and leave the same review there.

App itself works perfectly, just be aware of potential privacy issues. Everytime you open the app, it secretly pastes whatever is saved on your clipboard in the background.

The App could do with a concise dashboard with all the monitoring functions. I use six plugs to monitor different devices and setups. It would be nice if I could see the data on one screen for instant comparison.

So the app automation worked perfectly for the first 3 weeks or so and then with no reason at all it stopped working. I even tried deleting the app and re installing it but since it keeps my automation routine on cloud servers, ot just downloaded my automation routine back , when I reinstalled the app. So the scheduling or automation worked for a while and bow its useless which means I am back to square 1, manually operating the darn switch.

This app will not pair with smart plugs from android. I have attempted from multiple android devices. The plugs successfully pair with ios using to same 2.4 ghz network using to same topgreener account. Once the topgreener plugs have successfully been paired to my account using ios, they may be controlled without issues from the android app. Are others able to pair new plugs to their account using to android app? (I have attempted both EZ mode and AP mode.)

Works great. Programmed easily. To work with Alexa you just add TopGreener as a skill in the Alexa App. Only complaint is the device itself (light switch) takes a lot of room in the electrical box. Had to cram the wires in there.

TopGreener has failed again. GPS unable to locate me. Absolutely horrible experience since the day i installed this junk. Get a name brand outlet and save yourself the heartache. Switch loses connectivity, GPS doesn't work so automation settings (based on weather) doesn't work.

Smart Plug with Energy Usage! And many automation settings app Works as instended, only thing I would suggest is a download or import the usage data as an excel document or even plain text. But overall really good yo use, navigate and understand.

App REQUIRES you to register an account but always fails with a network error making the wifi switch completely worthless because you can't do anything in the app without first logging into an account. Not a good experience for customers, topgreener.

This app is so easy to use! Seamless connectivity to TOPGREENER devices. I love the automation, schedule, and timer functionalities. Syncs easily to my Google Home. TOPGREENER is my go-to for smart devices.
