Tophatter: up to 80% Off

I've had this app a few years now. The latest version is unrecognizable in a bad way. Product quality looks the same, variety is up but quantity is way down. Maybe this is due to vendors I'm not sure. Ease of use in terms of selecting, searching and general category browsing has been gutted and replaced with what seems to be some corporate committee's idea of progress. I won't presume anyone's reasoning for it, but it's gone the wrong way.

Since you upgraded to bigger images and made other changes, I haven't been able to bid and I can't scroll past the first 4 or 5 bids. It just keeps searching and hangs. I want to go back to the smaller images, scrolling many deals and simple bidding so I can buy again. I just reinstalled the app and it makes no difference I'm dropping my rating until you fix it.

Love this app, there isn't that much to choose from, and when you search for your own items it's incredibly expensive. Otherwise the auctioned items can be pretty cheap. I've gotten a few steals. Including a $14 super Nintendo with 500 games, a standing closer for $30, including shipping and a $7 electric razor. You have to be careful bidding on things and watch the shipping cost bc sometimes it can be pricy, but you can search for $0 shipping. Overall I'd rate this app a 8/10

Great site as long as you pay close attention to exactly what's being offered. Often, ads show pics of "sets", but in reading description only a single item is being offered, or pic shown is larger than size listed in written ad. That said, I've gotten GREAT quality, often unusually neat items for wonderful prices. Customer service is fantastic, and returns are easy. I even bought a microwave for $90 that I literally paid $250 a week earlier on Amazon. I returned the first and have been happy.

Most items ordered have been pretty decent. Some are really cheap but they mean it when they say they want you to be completely satisfied with your order. I have gotten a few bad items and was credited for them. I think they have been more than fair, unlike Wish. After making many purchases I have decided to no longer buy on this website. I have ordered so many tems that were never received. Especially when I order multiples of an item on separate orders. I've lost hundreds of dollars in merch

I gave 3 stars. The app is ok. It's fun and interactive!! You can bid on a lot of little things. My biggest problem is with the returning process. Sometimes if there is a problem with your item and you want to return it they will email you a paid return shipping label but sometimes they don't. If you have to return something they screwed up then they should have to pay for return shipping. Most of the items are cheap and come from China so return shipping costs about what your refund amount is.

It's really unfortunate, that I have no choice but to give this App a poor score. I have spent a lot of money, with two different accounts. It says a lot when your order says, shipped from OVERSEA"S and will arrive sometime in April. I have never once received any package on time. Customer Service is non existent. After I receive my 8 orders, I will most likely close both accounts. Just to many flaw's in the whole entire App, and it's lack of Integrity for all people. Needs a complete overhaul!!

Sadly changing my review. Many items received were not remotely as pictured and represented. I opted to return these items, which in turn tophatter canceled my account. Rather than reaching out or vetting their items for sale, I was accused of fraudulently purchasing and not refunded my payments. I had received many wonderful items, but this customer service experience was absolutely the worst I've experienced. My prior encounters had been wonderful, sadly.

Can't stand the new format! One item at a time is way too much scrolling! Please go back to a grid format. Doesn't seem to be as many items up for bid anymore. Other then that, a fun site with a lot of perks! Items aren't always what they seem but customer service is very good!

My address was listed 2 different addresses and both wrong. It was difficult changing my shipping address, and I'm still not sure it worked. I got a refund when the purse I ordered was returned to sender. No problem with the refund So I hope my change of address went through. I may have to cancel this app, and start over.

This app is ok but items used to be 3 or 4 on my screen with recent update & adding of partner company's you only see 1 1/2 items to bid on. The site sell same item two or three all at once. The says 90 second bids that's a joke it takes longer after you bid and it get to going once the timer slow down and when it goes to final count down it gets really slow. Bid on one item and it froze bid on the same item and won it. Paid for that one and the it said I won the first one. Then ban me 8 days.

The worst company. I am done buying. I have spent to much on dollar store(cheap) merchandise. The shippers bunch up gifts as many as 14, When item has been missing Tophatter will not cover it if it says delivered.Some of the items are misleading when you bid, make sure to read descriptions. It looks like you getting many when it's only 1. Free shipping also has items that are not free. DONE BEING RIPPED OFF!

I just uninstalled because I couldn't get into my orders and after reinstalling nothing showed up at all. The whole menu place is empty. If you order expect to only get about 60 percent of what you order and there is nowhere to go. It says to go to orders and click on lost delivery button but there is no button and no way to contact anyone. Horrible app

so many changes... it use to be so easy... you would bid and you won or lost...honestly now its just confusing and whats up with the shipping being so expensive...items would start at $1 now starting price is like $12...its like the 99 cent store.. there nothing that is 99 cents anymore...now its just cheap stuff for way more than it's actually worth..

Worst place to order or bid from. Most of the items are not what you see. You can be in the free shipping area and without knowing you get switched to paying shipment area and most items you can buy cheaper in the store. The jewelry is so cheap it turns your finger green and that's not a lie. You think that you are paying for a set of wrenches and only get one or a food sealer but you get only the bags

I used to love this app, but I'm not sure whats happened with their customer service. Do not ever use the "outside vendors” either. You'll get thrown around and get no resolution. Orders get cancelled for NO REASON. I got a shirt, after one wash there's a huge hole in it, since it's outside of 30 days... Oh well according to customer service. Sure you can email customer service but chances are there will be some excuse as to why you can't get refunded, or return an item. Uninstalling.

I really love Tophatter, I can't say enough about how nice the items are, & how much fun it is to bid for something you really want. I've won a lot of great items, and when they come in from shipping, it's like Christmas, so much fun! I have not gotten any thing I haven't liked. I am delighted with Tophatter, and look forward to seeing what's up for bids, daily. Thank you Tophatter!

I have had a good time so far,. The only thing that I really don't like is that the sellers want to put the postage Way high, I see that if you win at a low bid then the sellers up the postage to recover more money for the product. The item is coming from right here in the US. Really!!

Great place to buy stuff guys. This is not a rip-off shop they really do send their stuff. It may take some time for you to get it but it's just as they describe it jump in in bed just be careful about free shipping and the shipping cost because sometimes it's free other times it can be expensive

The app is getting worse, all the UI modifications are trash and make the app very glitchy, they need to put it all back that way it was a year ago 01/21, hardly any listings now, I remember when this platform was great with lots of listings, they even took away icebreaker or steal the bid or bid snipe, I literally have so many points (21k at this time), that the only thing I can spend them on is 10% off cards, the only time I ever jump on is for the name brand stuff that ships from the states.

DON'T USE! I've used Tophatter FOR YEARS. Its a seller platform. I have changed to 1 star because they changed the rules AGAIN & NOT for the better, I bid, thought I was bidding on FREE SHIPPING on their item-2nd party site CHARGED ME SHIPPING! I'm NOT using this site ANYMORE, now they can charge whatever they want, regardless of what YOU won the bid at. AVOID OR PAY THE PRICE!

Save your money. Most things take a long time to arrive and are cheap quality. If they even show up. They like to have you wait weeks or even a month to cancel something claiming there is no order number. Then they give you a refund that you can only spend on their site. Plus they don't even give you back the measly discount card that you wasted your points on. But they usually only do this when you are able to win something cheaply. Even though they will sell that same product 100 times a day

I used to love this shopping app Now its close to hate. The redesign of the layout is awful! Its almost impossible to scroll without accidentally placing a bid. And thats just one thing . Beyond that and more importantly and more of a legal issue not mention ethical is the points they have encouraged us to build up by bidding more and more are now almost worthless. Love this app.its an auction! And lI love being in control of how much I want to pay.its worth taking a chance you can stop at any price you want! I've gotten nice expensive iten for like 5 and under!! Well with it.I only get what I choose? And no problem retuning it if you have any problem? I enjoy this site. I do wish it had more things for pet and toys for children. Update: I am going to delete this app as soon as my last two items come in. You no longer offer all of the deal cards and your new partner makes it almost impossible to not only use the 1 card that's available but I'm now having problems paying for my winnings. It keeps saying to Update my payment account but doesn't tell you how to do that. And there is really nothing to update. Everything is the same.

I will never use this app to buy anything ever again. I bought a range extender from China which took almost one month to get to me to only find out they sent me one with a European plug on it when I asked for a USA plug. It will cost me the time and money it's not worth to send it back for my money... I'll chock it up as a lost but will tell everybody that tophatter is garbage...🚮

Crappie site. The site places bids on things i didn't bid on. Then when I cancel it. They punish you for it. On numerous times. I use to buy a lot from them.. too many problems and no customer support. This last time they took the money from me and have the nerve to say they didn't receive the money. Now I have to go though a lengthy process with my bank and paypal to fix their mistakes.
