This application is unique and amazing you do get the correct phonemes from the text that you dictate or type and as a plus you can choose between American or British English which is great because the phonemes are extremely different for each English dialect
This isn't a "phonetic" app, but rather a "phonemic" one, as if you type "pun" and "spun", this app uses the phonemes /pʌn/ and /spʌn/, instead of [pʰʌn] and /spʌn/ Also, it doesn't translate unknown words (such as people's first names), nor does it add "/" symbols at the start and end of phonemes (instead using the orthographic punctuation "full-stop" symbol to denote the end). There's also no option to translate IPA back to orthographic script either, and it can't be shared with "Line", etc.
It does what it says surprisingly well, converting at the word level, but in and of itself has a pretty limited use case.
Great app. But, following features are needed : 1) Side by side with English text 2) Line by line with English text 3) Font Size 4) Export to an html file alongwith both the English text and the line by line IPA.
This is worst app because i am not getting the phonetics of some words . My suggestion is I found these app not useful for me but it can be useful for you. If you are interested in this type of thing then try it . But I recommend to go with English book .
I had Phonetical transcription o my syllabus of college and as a virtual teacher I installed this app.To be frank , the app just awesome. It helped me so much to do those transcriptions virtually.Thank You developer for crafting such a beautiful app...😊😊😊🤗
It's good and easy to use.. Just wish it showed you the English and phonetics side by side.
I find this app really useful. Whenever I need to check the pronunciation of a word I us it and get the best results.
Really great app. I love it. Only thing missing is the possibility of creating a list of favourites. Otherwise really great
I wish I could save my transcriptions instead of taking screenshots. Other than that it's pretty good.
It's a great app, I just used the app today after downloading it already go straight to the what word you want to convert to IPA form.
Wonderful app. It reduced most of my homework time to search for individual word transcription.
Best app to learn transcription for beginners. It is for ba hons eng first year download it.
Really helpful but with a text reader it would be better. I recommend it anyway
Why I never knew if this app is good also for a 'text' and not just a 'word'? Using this app might will not make you confuse again when you heard the native speak normally.
Good app. But I think they have some mistakes with allophones transcribtion.
The app is very useful. You shall find it helpful to improve your pronunciation.
It really helped me out with my English assignment and it is 100% error free
Great, would be even better if you added OCR text recognition
There are some words that still cannot translated into IPA transcript
Quietly amazing! Thank you very much for such a great, and useful app ♡
Thank u so much for this app I had phenotics of 6 marks in my exam and I have done all 6 correctly through this app 10 star app
Wow wow wow This is what i was searching for....I checked it and loved it at first experience....awesome thumbs up for the developer and appreciate you my man thank you so much for this wonderful app👍👍👍👌👌
Can you please add a feature like "speech sound to IPA text" converter?
It's a really good app, I've improved my pronunciation thank to this app.
i like it to much. But i can't get it option as on the picture.
So much cool, but I think there's some mistakes that occurred in the app. For example: It's missing the glottal stop sound /ʔ/, as in the word "kitten - kiʔn/", the flap sound /ɾ/, as in the word "little - lɪɾəl" and the R-Colored vowels /ɝ/ and /ɚ/, as in the words "after - æftɚ" and "certain - cɝʔn". It's missinɡ also the /ɫ/ and /d͡ʒ, t͡ʃ/. Thx!
