Great App, could see if you could sponsor Officially Accurate Educational YouTube videos showing tornados, habits, climates, and other critical stats/Info. Some useful info could be showing different type of structures durability, and how tornadoes affect them when encountered. Also accurate important safety guidelines with good habits to prepare, so people know what to do in the event that they encounter tornadoes. This can help ppl make right choices and when to find shelter. App is 10/10 ⭐
Where are the alerts? I know for a fact we are under a tornado watch currently & the app didn't alert. When I opened the app, it says,"Failed to load alerts." I've reloaded, & checked for updates. Still not loading.
Misuses the term "Tornado Warning" in its alarm feature. There was a "tornado watch" in my area and every two hours until 4am the audience air siren alarm with the voice saying "tornado warning" would sound. The warning means a tornado has been sighted in the immediate area and you should take shelter. I am deleting this app and going to find one that is more clear in its warning v. Watch. The app is super user friendly other than the double bind between what it says and what the text displays
Gives an alarm and notification when a tornado watch/warning and thunderstorms are issued. I wouldn't trust any other weather app. This one is Precised, keeping my family safe.
It doesn't even work anymore, no notifications at all... even when there is a severe thunderstorm warning in my area on my weather apps..This app used to be really good.. Idk what they did to it, but I think I'll find a new alert app
We have not had to use this yet & pray we never do the last time a devastating tornado hit our town was in 1964. Hopefully we will not have another but best to be prepared & Thank You for this app that will alert us IF we are asleep & need the warning. Thank you so VERY MUCH For this app.
This app is awesome I've had it for a few months and it has kept me aware of my families surroundings when severe weather is upon them! I would highly recommend this app!!
Had sirens go off in my area but the phone never makes a sound. I'd rather pay for and app to make sure we are safe. Very disappointed in Red Cross
Update: the 4th uninstall/reinstall finally worked, super happy to have this back!! I used to use this app anytime weather was severe and it was wonderful. I downloaded again today (I remove in the less severe seasons) and none of it will function. I can't click on anything in the app. I've uninstalled multiple times and rebooted my phone, nothing is working. I really hope this gets fixed quickly so we can use it again 🙏
Uninstalling. Getting a 4 am alert with tornado sirens screaming "tornado warning" when it is a watch issued for an area that didn't even include me is not ok. Also the app is confusing and hard to use.
app will not keep my alerting distance after i set it and it keeps crashing.4glte, Android 10 platform.
I love this app it has kept me and my family safe more than once and I am fixing to have to use it again where I live is fixing to get another really bad storm heading this way
Good app. Saved my bacon a time or two. However, sounding that loud alarm once should be enough. My poor dog hates it
This is a great app. The alert for the tornado warning came on today even a few seconds before the sirens and sent us right into our shelter. It also gives you a brief list of the main things you need to remember in the situation. I installed this because I am afraid the city emergency sirens are not loud enough to wake me up at night, the app's tornado alert however is loud enough to wake up anyone, I would think. There is a different alert sound for tornado watch/ T-storm warning (those would be just your regular notification sound). You can also see if relatives or friends you connect with on the app are okay. The app runs humbly in the background until it is time to make its appearance. Thanks, Red Cross!
Alert system is not robust enough. A tornado went through the next town over in the middle of the night and I only got a push notification. The alarms on a tornado app need to be able to override the sound settings and be able to wake people up. In other words, this app completely failed at the ome thing I really needed it to do and I could have DIED from it.
Sends alert late or not at all. I thought an app from red cross would be most reliable but its the least. I have several weather apps cuz i live in a tornado prone area w/ disabled kids. This app is always the last to alert by so long that the event is usually over by the time I get it but most of the time, it doesn't alert me at all. I've checked all the settings, tried reinstalling, it doesn't work. I have a Samsung s10e w/Verizon. Accuweather is the best for warnings & notification settings.
I downloaded this app so I could be woken up if a tornado warning was issued for my area, but it has not once given me a notification. I've checked my app and phone notification settings dozens of times and everything is set to issue an alert with sound if there is a tornado watch or warning, but I never even get a pop up. The tornado sirens went off four times yesterday and I am again currently under a tornado watch, but I can only find that information out by actually opening the app.
This app is misbehaving and needs to be fixed. I've used since 2019 and never had an issue until last night's storms. A tornado siren sounding at 230am for the issuance of a tornado "watch"? And it will sound again when the watch is canceled. Tried to edit settings to turn off alerts of watches and warnings but the app turns them back on after a few minutes.
