OnePlus 5T connect to a Bluetooth adapter from eBay, the OnePlus uses it fine and torque works with it great, but I cannot get this repeater plugin to work at all with any other devices including other phones or my Android head unit. I'm a developer for several other things and would be more than happy to work with the developer of this app plugin 2 try and resolve this cuz it seems to be a common problem, feel free to contact me or reply to this
Great idea that doesn't work yet. Hope it can be made to work. Have 3 devices that I have tried this on but no pair will work. 2 are motorola droids, nearly identical, but no matter what I try the 2nd device will never get any data from the first even though the first IS connected to OBD and getting valid data. No response from developer by email or on the wiki/forums.
I tried running this plugin on my head unit, Android 6.0 and my SG note8 Android 9.0 error ECU not responding. I then reversed the setup and a no go on the head unit but the OBD had an error U1900 and U1950 both of which are related to communication problems within the CANBUS. So the bottom line is the plug-in is doing something just not the right thing for my setup. This is on a 2008 Ford F150 5.4L multi-fuel engine.
My phone One Plus 5 with Android 11 connects with OBD2. I've installed Torque Pro on my phone and on my car (Nissan Qashqai 2.0, J10, CVT, 2008). I' ve installed the repeater on my phone. Torque Pro on the car does not see phone or OBD2 trought the bluetooth.
Flashes a note stating it's not compatible with my Android version, but it works great. I can use Torque and play music over bluetooth on the same device and at the same time 😃
Doesn't work. The second device tries to connect, but eventually gives up with failure to connect to ECU
Dear Mr Hawkins, we encourage you to keep up the good work. A startup manual will help non technical persons
another torque app that doesnt work correctly this app wont connect both devices, just look at what the other people say. i wish i got paid to make bogus apps... you guys hiring?
Awesome just need to be able to clear fault codes then its perfect for a official release...
This works fine but the values in the ActiveOBD TQ plugin are not displayed.
Simply the best in class, by far!
Love it. I will ware my phone around my neck.
Not much luck with me connecting HTC Droid Incredible (original) with HTC Droid DNA. The two phones connect with no issue, the dinc can't communicate with the ECU through the DNA. I didn't rate one star because while it didn't work for me, it's still in beta testing, so I'm eagerly awaiting the next update. This is a great idea to be further mastered.
First WONDERFUL idea! But here is the problem. You NEED to use this from a PHONE. It will not work from an ASUS chromebook. It won't see it on the other devices. So in order to make it work: 1. Run Torque PRO on a PHONE 2. Run OBD2 Repeater on the phone. 3. Then you can try to connect your chromebook to it, and then it should Work. STILL TRYING TO GET IT TO WORK :-) Also, you need to use some BLUEtooth GPS repeater software as well. That is to get the GPS and accelerometer data. I have not tried this from a tablet, but I got a REALLY weird setup in my van. So COOl program. Its not the Program that has the fault I think. I think the limitation is in the Software of the device.
I had no issues with the repeater and torque. however this broke my link to my head unit in my car, making it impossible to use Bluetooth audio or voice dialing. the only solution i found was to removing this plug-in.
Love the idea of this and tried to get it to work with various phones and tablets with no luck. That's was months ago back in 2014. I can see from the comments nothing has changed. Wish the developer would pull this app (even though it's in beta) until some real progress has been made. I have been using the torque pro app for about a year and love it!!!
Does not show up under installed plugins. Can't get it to work.
Unable to connect to repeater on Samsung Galaxy Note 5 from Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. The devices are paired and able to e.g., tether for networking (not in use at the same time). Since I intend the tablet to be my permanent "glass cockpit", I will try reversing the direction of the sharing and update the review.
I am revising my rating straight to a 5 STAR. I now have four Samsung TAB 4 tablets synced to a fifth which is the repeater while remotely connected with a desktop.
Able to connect to ECU on host device (GS4) but not on the secondary device (Nexus 7 2012). Looking forward to a fully functional app!
Sorry Ian, I really need this to work as my Stereo can't connect to my ODBlink MX for some reason, so this would be great to repeat. Samsung S7 Edge, OBDLink MX, Erisin ES3053.
Hi my name is Luther..? I do not know or sure that this app works for my 2000 Chevy Impala 3.8 engine to start my car I do not know how to use it properly can someone please email me something how to use this app for my Chevy Impala police package sincerely Luther thank you..?
But to the reviewer at the top of the list - Matt Murphee, you're an idiot. This is BETA. Quit your whining.
It pairs but never connects to ecu
Great concept but as of 11/15/16 still doesn't work. Please try to get the app to work!!!!
The idea is great, but it's not working. I'm trying to use this with my android unit, in my car, connecting with my phone and sharing with the car, but this does not work. I also tried to share the data with other old android phone, no sucess at all, still looking for this app, but it's not working
