Tosee Plus

My internet works properly. The camera works fine but the App isn't! Spontaniously goes offline and won't repsond to any trouble shooting. Then it spontaniously goes back online. Sometimes after a few hours, sometimes a few days. Even when it's on, it doesn't always record when it's suposed to. I pay for cloud time and get very poor service! After 1 year of putting up with this trash, I quit! Zero stars for this app! I've got me a Blink and it works a billion times better than this junk app.

This app needs work. It's hard to set up and may fail several times before it connects. The instructions are too small to read and useless. I watched Youtube on how to set it up. If you mount it outside, it will consistently alert you if the sun is hitting the lens. There's also a bug, if you set the sensitivity to anything other than high, it won't alert or wake up from the phone. What's really bad is, they don't tell you that you must subscribe or you can't retrieve the alert videos.

The set up connecting to the internet was difficult!! I ended up using the bar scanner which kept giving me an error message but finally it connected. Took several hours. The instructions are extremely poor. The tutorial was useless. It's working ok but I can't change the settings. The settings need to be fixed in the App so you can reset them if you want. It was cheap enough but so is the quality of the product. It will however, serve its purpose.

The system is behind in time. The camera time never caught up but the camera was clear, I set it for night vision and at night when I tried to open it, it wouldn't but when it finally did it no pic, but I have outside light on?? I had to reconnect multiple times and device is always sleep. I opted for the free trial and the next day the camera wouldn't wake up when I finally got it reconnected I couldn't get the trial again. It's not worth even trying to keep reconnecting it and it runs slow!

With this device you only can view notifications for a month anf then you are charged 4.99 permonth for play back. It is supposed to be an advanced version of Toosee, but it is a rip off. when someone comes to my door and snoops around, I can not see the play back unless I subscribe. Stick with the Tosee original because it is just as good and no monthly fees!

This app and this security camera simply do not work. I have tried a dozen times and it simply will not connect to my WiFi. I'm following the directions to the limit. The process is incredibly easy and idiot proof. It says connection... Then I get a message that says a small error occurred, and to reset the camera and try again. It provides no help or direction whatsoever. Never works.

The setup to wifi & phone was frustratingly difficult..took hours to connect. Kept getting Error 1 messages. Instructions need updating badly. Once connected I would update firmware immediately. The camera itself is clear but with a slight lag when live. Settings can only be changed after clearing the cache each time. No low battery indicator that I can tell. This could be a great camera but developer needs to do more work. Will update stars when software bugs are addressed.

it seems that to get the most out of this APP is to purchas the monthly or yearly storage plus other features, which I did but I didnt see any change in the APP appearance or features, and it also seems that when I purchased the yearly option I noticed that Tosee plus has an automatic renewal on my PayPal. After a few months of use I have had several issues with both of my cameras, disconnecting from my and reports of trouble. There is no way to get support help from Tosee Plus. Frustrated

The device is great and functions well, however the app is pretty lousy. It is a door bell camera for God's sake and it should ring on my phone as call or similar. Pop up notification just doesn't do it. I missed all the rings on the bell and have not answered since it didn't make difference from a movement notification. Even if you put something loud as notification sound it just sounds once, so you might not notice. The call from the door should be part of the app and it should ring!!!

Functional but that's about it. You can set the timezone but you cannot allow for daylight savings. I'm constantly emptying the cache in order to get into the camera settings. It does need work but at the moment it feels like a front end for the cloud storage which is relatively inexpensive at $40 a year.

Update as of 9/22/20 App is still trash. Don't look like there gonna do anything to update the system. They may well just delete the app and be done with it. Thought I'd be nice and give it 2 stars instead of 1. Horrible app. I have the recommend wifi that the app calls for and it takes almost 30 seconds to connect to the doorbell. By that time anything can happen. Needs to be updated or something better needs to be out. Very disappointed.

Continuously lags and skips, that's after endless loop if you can get into the app, no response from developer's literally useless do not buy this product. The full issues are to many to mention. Unbelievably seems all are software issues that could easily be fixed making this better than other manufacturers. Just shows bad customer service and techies can destroy a company. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

When I set it up, it worked ok (only a bit worse than the ring doorbell we were replacing). 3 hours later and it no longer notifies my phone for anything. Complete and utter fail. Tried rebooting, reloading, restarting - no luck whatsoever. I hope this is fixed - but suspect we've done our money.

They don't tell you that your bank will charge you an international fee. AND THIS DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO SEE ANYTHING IF YOU DON'T PAY FOR THEIR SERVICE!!!! I wished I didn't have to keep uninstalling the app and reinstalling it to be able to go to the settings. Video runs a bit laggy but it is serving its purpose. Fix it s ok you can an change languages. I now get notifications in Spanish.

Delay in motion detect to notification of up to a minute. The worst thing is that when I have my phone on vibrate, the app overrides the sound and still "DING-DONG"s. I found out the hard way in a doctor's appointment! I had to eventually put my phone on silent to avoid it. Not cool!

Not worth the hassle of all the setting up and syncing. It buffers a lot which is more than likely my wifi but it is not helped by the 25 second delay of someone being at your door, you press the app button and by the time you get through they are walking away or can't hear you clearly which also has a further delay

Set up is a bit complicated and not straightforward. It goes offline repeatedly and not returning from sleep mode. The door bell is great and deserve the bugs to be remove from the app. I dont think it will take much to correct it.

2 Stars - 1 for it being able to work as IP camera with night vision and sound. 2 for being a doorbell. • If anyone can find a doorbell camera that is subscription free and can record video straight to Nas drive. • doesn't require being wired to power • works on both 2.4 and 5Ghz WiFi • isn't a massively stupid over priced product. • doesn't lag by more than 1 to 30 seconds. • Has an app that is user friendly and works straight off the bat. Please let me know. 🙂

Good app works well with the camera. Only problem I've experienced is that the camera doesn't automatically adjust for the night like it should. I have to manually adjust each night after dark and then adjust again the next day back to automatic. Other than that the app works fine.

It's just barely okay. Disconnects easily. Often misses motion. There could be SO many more options; for example, an alert if someone accesses your camera. A snapshot of the last person the camera saw before it dies or is reset no matter what.

Absolute garbage. I have to completely uninstall the app & start again every time I want to use it. Contacted support who's best advice was to be patient (4 weeks ago) still no fix or dialogue from them. Waste of money. UPDATE. 4 weeks later still no connection or update from support. Can't even connect bell to app anymore. After 8 weeks my patience has ended. I will be looking for a full refund of cloud and hardware.
