Well, finally a good app with support for all banks I need (pretty much anything because of saltedge integration ) Notable features for me: - auto import transactions from banks - transfer detection, split of transactions - flow chart is cool Monthly report could be better though. Imho donut graph should not be used for showing categories percentages.
I've been using this app for over 10 years! An amazing app back then, still a decent one now. It has a very friendly interface. However, there are other apps now which offer the same features for free, or a 1-time cost, that Toshl charges on a monthly basis (ex. recurring expenses, photo receipts, etc). This has gotten me looking for another solution. If a constant stream of revenue is needed for Toshl employees to maintain/improve the app, I would prefer it be generated through ad banners.
Won't connect to monobank. Tried several times, after several confusing redirects it opens monobank app and then Google Play Store (why on earth???). Confirming connection in the bank app gives nothing.
Probably would be an amazing app especially since it supports my bank located in the Baltics, but I'm currently not looking for one that I have to pay for at the moment.
software having problems connecting to Singapore posb n ocbc bank. several months ago connection stops working. now ocbc transactions are not brought in. despite not having errors being connected. support is silent for the past 48 hour. the ocbc link is now working after 3 attempts. the dbs/posb is useless. "Fetching" data since several months ago without any data.
This is by a long way the best budgeting app there is. The ability to set budgets on different accounts really sets it apart. The subscription is almost a necessity, but comparably priced with others. That said, it is not perfect. It is a bit buggy when refreshing bank credentials (I shouldn't have to spend as much time with this as I do, I don't think), and I'm currently wondering why it's downloaded transactions twice. The ability to set an income budget would be handy.
Holy moly. This app looks promising, but it's so confusing. Let's say I want to add 10k income, of which 8k goes to savings, and 2k goes to cash to budget. I have to make two transactions for salary, because a transfer is counted as an expense against the budget. The GUI is not the best. I thought I could manage, but I don't think I can... I'm lost. Edit: ok, figured it out somewhat, thanks to the web app. But if I had to do this on my phone, I'd rather uninstall. Also, no way to delete multiple transactions? The price is always so much higher than other apps with bank sync. Edit: up to 3 stars, because dev's response help me figure out the transfer. Still, this just shows that the app's GUI is not intuitive. I wish the price was also more affordable.
I recently updated the app and although there are new features added, I was rather saddened by the removal of the option to search my full history for a specific item. This search feature is now only available on the web version, which isn't as convenient. Hopefully the developers will consider adding this back into the app! Do allow the editing of tags in the app instead of just the web version too. It would be much more convenient. Thanks!
If it's your first app, maybe after getting used to the UI you'll love it. For me, though, when I try to transfer my data from one budgeting app to another it's a nightmare. There aren't any tools for bulk editing, only merge or delete. Having 10+ accounts, both cash and bank accounts and having to edit transfers and managing duplicate transactions from 2 years ago one by one is something refuse to do. Found out the app used to have bulk editing for Tags and Categories, but no longer has it, which is a shame. If in the future they decide to return the bulk editing feature, I'll definitely switch over. For now I'm looking for another option.
I've tried a few budgeting apps and this is the best I have come across by far. I've been using for years now and I have recently upgrade to Toshl Pro. Developers respond to feedback and actively seek to improve on their app design. Suggestions: 1) Allow editing of categories on the app instead of having to use a computer to do so. 2) Allow shifting of the position of categories. 3) Allow editing of budget time frame without having to delete and recreate them.
Sweet, but some things could be done better. For example the ability of not syncing one of the bank accounts (eg. Supplementary cards which then show twice in the statements), or improve the tagging system which ends up showing the same expense under multiple tags and it's confusing. Also, when we look at the expense reports it would be nice to tap on a slice and see the included expenses, else those tappable graphs are fairly useless at the moment other than providing a very high level overview
I think I have finally found the perfect app for managing my personal budget and finances! The only thing I wish is that there was a tab to show upcoming bills view, and an easier way to transform an expenditure into a recurring bill or add reminders. If that is just a feature I'm missing please let me know. I will then give this app a 10 star rating!!!!
Toshl should definitely be in the top 3 apps world wide for budgeting. Beautiful easy to use interface, syncs with Australian bank accounts, transfers between accounts, custom categories and tags, roll over from previous month's and the developers seem to be constantly working on improvements.
I wanted to try it for free , 30 days. I made a subscription to it, registered my bank card , but app can not recognize subscription. Terrible experience so I deleted it immediately, canceled subscription ofc
Signed up for the trial and did not cancel in time. They refused to refund me; Fast forward a few months, I tried very hard to like it. I "paid" for it. But NO, I can't. The app is confusing, sync is SLOW and has no notifications. I had to sit and wait to key in OTP timely because its too easy to miss. Transactions presented in messy way too. Moved on to Wallet now and its so good. Paid for Wallet and couldn't care less for remaining 9 months of Toshl Medici subscription. Bye Toshl, it was hell.
Bubbles look cool, but are not helpful as you don't see the amount in the majority of them
It has everything I need. I have tried all the apps. This is simple and just what I was looking for. Consider adding a calculator functionality and perhaps a section for writing notes about "learnings" - where you clearly need to budget more or spend less etc.
Though it says I'm synced with my bank, the app stopped updating expenses for some reason.
I have been using this this app for years. Easy to use and never had a problem with the app. Sync works across the mobile app and the web client.
Seems to work great. But I added my recurring incomes/expenses manually only to discover I can't make them recurring, requires me to pay. I'm sorry, but that's very basic functionality I won't pay for, making the app unusable. Haven't connected to any bank accounts, I pay cash. Visuals look good.
I have tried a whole bunch of apps, and so far this the best one, I mean there are other good options out there, but most have essential features (like sync between different devices) locked behind subscriptions paywalls. There is some getting used to it at first, but once you learn the ropes there's no coming back. Highly recommend it.
