Total AV

Very disappointed. I signed up on the basis I was getting an 80% discount. Total cost for 12 months for full protection was £29.99. Not too bad, or so I thought. I usually use Norton, never had a problem, but I liked the all inclusive features on offer. After purchase I checked my back and was charged for all sorts of addons that took the total payment to well over £100! Total rip-off. I have tried to contact devs to cancel, and get a refund, or simply for the offer I signed up for to be honoured. I'm guessing this security is supplied by Al Capone! Thanks for betraying my trust. Gutted

I've been using this app for several months with subscription and it has yet to catch anything and it will not scan automatically even though it is set up to do so. If there's nothing there to catch it seems unnecessary to pay the money for it. I also discovered I have a free app that came with my Galaxy A50 that checks for problems of various kinds. I will cancel AV before the year is over. The instructions said you have to send them an email to cancel and I made sure to keep the address.

This is horrible. The price keep going up. I don't know who this Total AV is. I have been getting billed for a year never really used any of it. I can't get get to anyone to cancel my subscription. I never wanted it. I ordered it for a trial period and instantly canceled but they never stopped it even after I instantly stopped before the trial was even started. I wanted to test drive it. I want out and can't get out. No way to contact them.

I am only at the set up sequence part of the TotalAV app. I would have say that it is very fast to serve the functions it is meant to do almost immediately. It appears ( to me ) to be user friendly. Unlike the previous half dozen or so I have taken for a test drive. With that in mind, I find TotalAV is easy to use and the fact of how quickly it reponded, it put my mind at ease right away becauce I didnt mess anything up.

Purchased family pack with additional licence. Android app works perfectly -autostart , performing what it is supposed to do. But the windows app is TERRIBLE ! it is working like a reinstall-after-every-reboot app ! After installation , the app works fine. But after shut-down and restart, the app gets into infiNite loop to set up or it just timed out and with a message to restart ! It doesnt make any sense at all !

UPDATE: I found that this app has problems. Once it blocks a website, there is nothing you can do. You're stuck. Also, you can't override the app. There is no way to go to a website it doesn't like without uninstalling. I got Total AV from a list of FREE antivirus apps. It isn't close to being free. The first page said $2.99. I didn't like being lied to but it was only $2.99. The checkout page said $2.99/ MONTH. A BIG difference. Then it tries to sell you on a Windows program. Be VERY CAREFUL.

Beware of this scam I was told my monthly fee was $2.99 a month for life . Often they take out more. Today for example i was charged 4x normal amount. When you contact them, you never talk to the same person twice and they only part credit you when you query overcharge. I have had to contact them several times regarding overcharging and have never been correctly credited. When does this APP every update? NEVER! Avoid at all costs. It is a money grab scheme!

VPN gets turned off without my having initiated any change. I have a secure password-protected home network, but when I notice that VPN is off, I just turn it back on for increased security. Also, a website from which I had previously been able to open documents is now asking me to turn off Pop-up blockers. I don't see anything on my 5G Android phone settings that has changed, so I assume some aspect of TotalAV app has caused that change. Please help figure how to turn off off Pop-up blockers.

TotalAV provides an effective and excellent service. It tells me right away that a website may be dangerous so that I can exit quickly. For some reason, VPN will turn off and I always check everyday that it is on. I feel that my Android is safe and secure. I like the features of scanning both my phone and email to see if they have been compromised. Thank you, TotalAV, for the great service. Also, any questions have been answered rapidly.

Uninstalled all AVG apps out of sheer frustration. My phone slowed down to the point of being unusable. Not to mention misleading advertising tactics & a subscription rate that morphed from 3.00/mo to 8.99/mo. within 45 days. In any case, I emailed Billing to request cancellation of the 2 separate apps I seem to be charged for. They courteously offered very generous enticements to stay, but did ultimately promise cancellation. (Now awaiting results.) They really do want to keep you.

I Purchased the app upgrade at the discounted price. Every tool in the app required an additional paid upgrade, and I contacted customer service promptly for clarification. I requested to cancel my subscription. They offered me a complimentary license, then began billing me 3 months later. After trying to cancel my never-wanted a subscription, they ploy me with another 5 "free" licenses. Nope, not gonna play that game. Just refund me the charge from less than 24 hours ago and be done.

A Total con, led me to believe I was paying a one off fee in the beginning and now they are taking £9.59 per month. The also app switches off and several times I've had to restart the real time protection. There is no option to cancel the subscription other than emailing and cancelling through your bank. I don't understand why Google play isn't vetting these apps? I can see why people are switching to Apple now! Avoid this app at all costs.

Terrible product and support. App would not stay active so there was no real time protection. Canceling the subscription has been an absolute nightmare because they do not respect your choice to cancel. I had to use a third party app to finally cancel the subscription and I have had constant emails to try and get me to sign back up despite using the unsubscribe link at least twice. Save your money and the hassle and do not use this app!

I just downloaded the $3.00 deal and having problems already. Wouldn't let me login for a long time. I'm not Tech savvy anyway, but it sounded easy,NOT! I'm on a fixed income and can't afford more than their initial price and I keep seeing it go up and up. Shame on you! I'm going to cancel and I EXPECT my $3.00 to be refunded ASAP. You could have a good app if you didn't try to price gouge people.

TERRIBLE APP!!! DO NOT BUY!!! I started with it on my phone and bought it for my computer as well. WELL. The app for the phone is NOT user friendly and has few features. It ONLY scans apps, not files, so you can't even ask it to do an in depth scan of any sort. The VPN randomly disconnects and doesn't notify you when it does, you just have to notice that the key lock symbol disappears. It has no option for split tunneling and MANY apps don't work. Getting a refund is HELL. DON'T DO IT!!!

Where to start. First it is not a free app. You have to pay for real time protection. Google over runs the browser, hard to tell if it does anything. Save yourself some time, look else where. They did send two emails before i got it running, both pushing the upgrade. Which i did do for the month. They can keep the $2.99 . one day and uninstalled.

It does what any other basic cleaner does and deletes extra photos and clears up free space. All the other functions including protecting your phone those cost $64.00 and well I've heard a few say it doesn't work well, they automatically renew it and I've been there and done that with companies and usually there is not a single live person or they don't answer...No thank you. They used to be decent, but then took away certain free functions.

I have used Total AV in my Android phone for about a year now, and I like that the antivirus system doesn't slow down my phone. I give the antivirus 4 stars. It is NOT a "total" protection package. Far from it. It needs a browser cleaner, storage cleaner, duplicate file detection and removal, and a free space wipe tool, for starters. I give it ONE star because it installs a browser that prevents selection of the other browsers, and you cannot disable it. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!

I have to say that I was a bit underwhelmed with the trial download of Total AV for $2.99 which covered a months usage for a third of the basic price. It was highly touted and could be used on up to 3 devices. I thought.. I'll give it a try. Turns out you don't get to try much of the actual program. I have an app that scans my files and show my battery level so to get a trial program that you need to upgrade to see the other features changes that $2.99 price quickly to more expense. Not for me

I don't usually give bad reviews but this one deserves it. Not for the actual app but for the developer being extremely deceiving about how much this costs. Initially you pay something around $3 for it only to find out it's a subscription based offer when you get a charge on your credit card next month. However nowhere does it say so before you purchase it that you'll have recurring char! That's not ok. Needless to say I called and got the "plan" cancelled and the charge reversed.

All the sudden I started getting pop up ads on my android phone. Whether I was online or not. They would just pop up. Sometimes 4 or 5 at a time. Probably 100 or more a day. Don't know why all of the sudden. No new apps had been downloaded. Spent about a month trying different apps. Apps suggested by phone maker and others like Block This. Nothing stopped them. So finally tried TotalAV. ALL GONE. It's only been 2 days. Thank you TotalAV.

App is great. I did find it difficult to get around the site. It seemed the more i searched, the more techncal it got. Also the other day i got a notice that my coverage had expired and it would be $69.79 /year to continue my service! No where in your ad does it say there will be a fee greater than the initial $3.00 fee! That is not truth in advertising!

NOT RECOMMENDED I got a good 3euro deal on it but it never specified how long the deal was for and I was charged full amount in the next month. I asked my subscription to be canceled. Then they counter offered me for a free VPN. I wanted to give it another chance. VPN kept having issues. I could not connect at all for one whole month. I inquired the support team. They still cannot fix it. Worst of all, I keep getting emails in a different language despite asking for responses in English.
