Very useful app. As a professional mechanic I can say this app is one of the more important apps on my phone. I need it alot for work to identify specific things to complete my job or at least make it alot easier. And its still a good app to have even if you're not a mechanic. As it has mot history and expiration dates for mots and tax

Fantastic app which was recommended to me by guys in the trade. If you want to pay for an optional comprehensive report you can do for a maximum of £11.99. I've paid for the "Gold" report on 2 occasions, it gives you assurance that the car your looking to buy isn't stolen, imported or subject to outstanding finance etc. It's a great way to put your mind at ease. It's a MUST if you're in the market for a car.

Great help for me being a motor dealer. The only suggestion I can think of is the euro status of a car being more clear. Some car status checks differ. No fault of Total car check, would be great however if it was 100% accurate. Otherwise great app!

Been using this for years on iOS and Android. It gives plenty of detail for the free searches, more than I've seen with other apps. Occasionally it won't find a reg, but I put that down to them having recent changes with DVLA and it's yet to update. But in the most part, it's a great app.

Outstanding service for a free app quick and simple to use I definitely recommend upgrading to the pro version if your in the trade it's just so easy everything in one app no need to look on different sites to gather the info you need it's just great. Thankx

Fantastic app to use when looking to buy a car and to save time it's a good idea to register with the app and you can look back over a different cars you've looked at and compare specs will recommend this app very very useful has saved me no end of trouble and it's also saved me from buying a lemon when the owner says it's fine it's ready to go and it turns out it's not because it fails on 173 things needless to say I did not buy that car!!

Truly fantastic I have been in the motor industry for many years and as technology moves forward there are some similar apps but nothing compares to this one. It's a must have for anyone who has a car or looking to invest in one. Thank you for making this free and easy to use.

Good app, Plenty of clear useful information when you purchase. However app stops working for about 1 day if too many free checks are searched or If too many incorrect searches. Also the "registered near" part isn't where the vehicle is registered, it just means the vehicle was supplied by a dealer on or near there, so don't be confused by that.

Great app for looking at the history (like MOT, mileage etc.) and also the basic stats about the cars (BHP, engine size, fuel economy) it also says specifics about 1 car like the mileage, the first registered date and things. To improve, it would have all the stats for all cars like 0-60, hp and road tax and stuff.

The best car check app I've found. Very few errors (not sure the "Real World Fuel Costs" section can really be trusted) and provides more free info than competitors. Only real issue is with the navigation. "Back button" should ideally take you to the "New Check" page but instead exits the app.

All good information! Gives you thr basic stuff, car details, a few checks but all previous MOT data, making it easy to verify car mileage and see what, if anything the car has failed previous MOT's. You can also pay for either a gold or silver check for more in depth checks, the basic free check is ideal for when you are looking, then get a gold/silver check before you actually buy! 5⭐

I have used this app for 4 or 5 years now always been impressed with the results, this app has helped me purchased 8 cars in 4 years (including purchasing cars for mates) however today, I'll be uninstalling, I do not like being forced to register in order to get the mot history when this is readily available at the gov website.

Excellent app. Instant car info. Particularly handy for finding out things like bhp on models like the MK1 Audi TT where it doesn't state in the advert which version it is. Also shows MOT status, road tax, etc all free. You have to pay for the HPI stuff which is fair enough. Really pleased. Great app. Well done!

Needed to check a car's history, downloaded this one at the garage! Wasn't expecting much to be honest, but was pleasantly surprised at how comprehensive the free part was, so much so that I now use this app all the time. To be fair I've not paid any money so not sure how much detail you get if you part with some of your hard earnt..... it gives me all the information I need to purchase a car. Great app....

Not enough spaces to enter the entire vin number. The app must have felt the first 5 digits were important because it saved those. Then started eliminating digits after the fifth. With only the last 3 to be entered it stopped accepting entries. Of course, with no instructions as to which digits it needs to complete a search.

All data in an easy-to-use interface, easy to select level of checks, enough interesting data on free check level. I wish economy page would work for all cars. May be default valuations as well.

Good and helpful. Good to have information available when searching and looking to buy a second hand car. I wonder if some milage issues with some cas are more to do with human error ie digit missed by MOT tester than a deliberate action ( though there are those who falsify a cars milage)....

love this app, you see a car and your curious about what's under the bonnet, power engine size. also especially handy if your looking for a second hand car and want to know some of its history from previous Mot's as to its advisories so you get an heads up for items needing replaced or fixed, before you buy. a good bargaining tool..

All the basic info is there the same as all other car check apps. However, the layout is less friendly to the eye, and their 'Gold' service is way more expensive than other apps.

So easy and super helpful when buying a car. When I finally found the car I wanted, I selected the £11 option which told me everything I needed to know about it's history and importantly, if it had finance and if the car had ever been written off. I would have been lost without this app.

Excellent app for checking certain aspects of cars if you're looking to buy. It can take several days to update though as after my m.o.t. had been completed, it hadn't updated (I checked after 6 hours).

Good app does the job displays car tax cost insurance group, previous mot history when the v5c was last applied for useful if someone tells you they've had a car years and have only just bought it also shows if a car is currently stolen highly recommended I used this app a lot when I was looking for my next car.

Great little app. Really helpful and simple to use. Tells me by email when my mot's are due 5 weeks in advance. Essential when buying a new car as you can check it's full history.

I found this app very useful whilst looking for a replacement car, especially when it came down to running costs insurance and tax groups. A very handy tool. Thanks guys.

Handy tool! Able to check cars out for MOT and tax. Easy to navigate, and generally accurate 99.5% of the time. You can upgrade further (for a fee) to do full checks before purchases too.

Brilliant app. Quick and resourceful. I would give 5 stars but the limitation with MOT due at 4 years for vehicles registered in Northern Ireland means it shows my car as having an expired MOT even though it's not due one yet!

info excellent. Changing password is inconsistent and a ball ache. Users will forget password. Prompts to remember based on personal data would make user journey faster and less frustrating.

Love this. Have used it forever, despite a multitude of alternatives becoming increasingly available. This app works smoothly and gives you information for free that other alternatives charge for!
