Database of foods seems to be really small. Some of the foods I enter, I eventually find (with difficulty) and the names are wrong, even when it's clearly the right food. Probably related to that, the scanner just doesn't do anything probably half the time. Other times, it seems to scan, then locks up the app entirely until I reboot my phone. Is there a way to save a whole meal or just 1 ingredient at a time? Has potential, but disappointing.
The free version is great!! I like the graph on the main tracker page. It shows where you're at in all categories (calories, fat, carbs, etc.) I wish I could combine foods into meals to save. I also don't see a way to add foods from scanning bar codes or searching, into My Foods. I have to create them from scratch. Are those options in the premium version?
Been using this app for a while, and love it. Lots of recipes, the ability to look up or add food to the tracker, and manipulate portions. However, a few days ago i started the free trial for the meal plan. I've decided I don't want it, but i'm unable to cancel the subscription. Probably going about it the wrong way...need assistance please
Easy to use and calcs good macros. I switched from Myfitness pal after going keto. My only complaints are that I can't copy a whole meal if it's made up of multiple things, you have to copy one thing at a time. Also, it automatically tries to add any entries to the current day so, you have to be sure to change the day and mealtime if you plan ahead. Overall, I do recommend.
Starting Keto. I really like the tracker with the bar code option. The app is very easy to use and intuitve. Lost a star because sometimes food requires verification but there is not a way to report foods that are not accurate. The positive is that it is extremely easy to input your own foods and customize macros that way. This is perfect for all the weird internet recipes I am trying. It loses another star because it frequently takes a long time to load the tracker or gets stuck loading.
As new to KETO, this app has an excellent tracker, and is easy to use. I like that it has recipes and lots of restaurant items, to help you make better choices when dining out. I lost about 8 pounds in the first two weeks. It's an education process, and I've been honest if I've had more carbs than suggested. Looking at many labels is enlightening!
I love this app and I have lost 24 pounds using this app. But recently they updated it and I'm having trouble navigating through it. It isn't as user-friendly as the original. The scanner doesn't work on foods like the old one app and all the foods I had saved are gone now with the upgrade. Time to delete and move on makes me sad.
Update once again. If you are having trouble with finishing the questions, email them with what phone you have, they can fix it. The recipes are good. Their premium plan cost $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year. There is food and exercise trackers. Shopping list. A community to talk and share with. The premium gets you meal planning, sync with Fitbit, it's ad free and more. Not giving it a 5 star, yet. Haven't tried premium yet. But customer service is great.
It's a pretty good app, especially for being free. The app is painfully slow at times and it is too hard entering your own recipes, if it doesn't find the barcode or have a default in the database you can't enter custom food in as you go. You can easily modify recipes in the app. Overall it's decent and I prefer it over others.
It has a few occasional quirks here and there as most apps do, however it has given me the ability to get a good snapshot of my macros and the intake or lack thereof. If you ever upgrade if would be nice to see water tracker, maybe inches tracker and maybe even a keto stick tracker and a add food calculator for those that wont search or scan. . All in all it is serving the purpose and the recipe suggestions are great. I'm 3 weeks into this journey. Have not cheated and really able to watch my intake quickly and easily.
was good but no more. forced upgrade. redesign lost 3 months of saved and favorite foods. bar code scanner is broken. layout is quirky. cant copy from days prior to forced upgrade. wish I had old app still. most of the recipes provided that I looked at are a little high in carb count if trying to stay around 25g a day. Edit: changing my rating as old app is up again while they fix things.
really enjoy the app so far. Informative, has some good tips for beginners to keto. It only has American products, so you'll be adding a lot of your own custom foods if you aren't from the US. Only gripe is not being able to add variations of serving size to the tracker. You can only add the whole serving or half, so you have to be precise in the serving measurement when creating the custom food
It's a good app that helps me get an idea of what I'm taking in, though I don't really understand the visual element of cutting out parts of words and numbers like "pro-" instead of protein. It doesn't affect my usage of the app but I wish you could turn it off. Also, I wish it had UK based ingredients, everything seems to be US specific.
love and hate relationship. Lost all my data twice. I uninstalled finally and will try one more time. Please don't update this again. Every time it updates I lose all my data. it wastes my time oh, and I also had the same trouble with the app not reading barcodes correctly. I really want this app to work because it's really helpful when it does.
I really want to love this app but it crashes too many times. I spent 400 on getting all my ingredients together for specific recipes and now I can't get past the loading screen. I've cleared the apps cache and data with no luck, I've uninstalled several times with no luck. Just really frustrated... When I downloaded the app the first time, it worked perfectly, now I can't access anything. Really hope this gets fixed because I was seeing results before the app started messing up
