Total Media Player Pro

Does NOT play .mkv to Chromecast. Which is all I needed it for. Also froze twice while trying to navigate through it's UI. I am not happy with an app that makes it aggravatingly difficult to shut the app totally off. You can swipe the app away but the content still plays with no exit option. No helpful videos or tutorials. Lame. If you want to compete with VLC or MX, for $5 you better have a responsive UI, a "Total" product that works, some helpful instructions or videos and well...

The Player stubbornly asks for the permission to "manage phone calls" - "reading the phone state" is supposedly necessary to prevent problems when receiving calls - which is highly questionable. MX Player Pro is happy with storage access permission only and I have never ever had problems receiving calls while playing videos/music. It simply pauses. After the call is ended you normally resume. Be warned.

My kid purchased this app without asking because I didn't have a media player. And I can't get a refund on top of that. tried to use it to see if it would work but not only is the GUI interface stupid but when you click to sort through album or artist says there's music in there when you click the folder there's nothing in there and on top of that after it's been purchased. you got to purchase another purchase yet another add on to get the full version after already purchasing it. Not worth $10

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to use it either as a DLNA client or to cast to TV via Chromecast. Also, developer's email is invalid. Please help, and I will change my rating. Thanks. (Edit) the latest version is definitely a huge improvement. Now, I can use it as a DLNA client & I can chromecast to TV. I haven't tested Video, but I did test playing music from my DLNA server. As promised, I increased the rating from 1 to 4.

Good app it works. I am however having an issue where I select Home>Music >Artists and its finding my artist folder for example The Charlatans, identifying correct 15 songs are in there but when I click on the folder it's showing nothing. I have to manually navigate through folder icon at the end to source. Could it be some permission issue on storage I've missed? Please help.

Cant permanently sort. Playback stops when switching back to this app. Pull down control menu is blank. Edit: was asked to try new update, found even more bugs in the first 5 minutes. Sorted folders become unsorted everytime I open the file browser. Can't access SD card in the browser, but can see the files through other selections. Graphics glitch out when I press my phone's "BACK" software key. And this is just the UI. Too disappointed to bother playing any files to test playback.

Previously, this app didn't support devices with taller screens. Since then, the developer has updated the app to support such devices and now has provided a great app to watch videos on. I have not figured out how to hide the navigation bar yet, but perhaps it's hiding in the app settings.

The app is very nice and feels amazing it has everything that you could need except one thing. And that is being able to put certain videos in a locked folder which can only be opened by a pin, password or a pattern to ensure their security, other than that the app is great 5/5 would recommend to anyone

I would rate a 5 out of 5 but it crashes every time I click on certain video playlists. I also believe it should be easier to create a Playlist as well. It took a little playing around to finally figure that out.

So I installed this during flash sale and its working perfectly so far. The videos on my phone can be search from folders on this app and I can also do a screenshot from within the app. And there's no ad popping up in the pro version. So I've no idea why the other reviewers are having problems but thankfully it's working well on my phone.

This is a very bad & irritating app, Compliants of this app:- 1. App can not play video smoothly, Auto Play Issue - Sometimes this app can not run Video. 2. It is a media player, and why asks for the manage phone calls permission, I don't know. Please fix it in the next update.

Can't even be able to play the videos which I was able to play with extreme ease in the previous version before the recent update How do you suppose to consider this application as a media player if even media files can't be played after the recent update Feeling like this app became worthless that even my the default media player of android phone have more supporting features as compares to the accessibility which is being provided by this media player after the recent update.

Should be renamed because it is NOT 'Total' Media Player. Fails to play .m3u playlist files and no Chromecast. Doesn't even display thumbnails of ANY files. Hope you can fix these bugs and the others mentioned in the comments.

good enough for some but not for me. I'd rather use specializing individual video and music players . they are exhaustive, unlike this one package app - very simple in all aspect.

Horrible freezing and crashes. Poor video quality and control. Constant pop ups make it very annoying. Needs a lot of bug issues fixed. I did like the availability of folder options and visibility with each.

Constant prompts for permission access to telephone. Clicked deny and don't ask again in android, but the app has a popup asking every time you open it or go back to the main page. No way to disable this message (that I could find).

Definitely one of the better media apps I have found. I love the fact that iy plays music I have saved from anywhere. From my OneDrive, phone, extra memory, etc. Great job with this one!

some issues running in my S8 - Doesn't show play or pause button in my notification when make it run in bg - swiping from left to right doesn't slide the playback rather the video screen moves - no brightness increase/decrease option by default please kindly fix it in update.

O man latest version not working . Don't update Total pro, with latest version when I play video the total pro start only audio and full green background. Don't know how many new bugs added. Sorry total pro team I am changing 5 star to 2 star. I will wait for bug fix, If you fixed I will change my feedback.

DLNA problem. server continues to run after shutting it off. app locks up my tablet and has to be restarted. .. memory leak issue? player plays nice, issues with landscape portrait, auto feature.

The app is good but I am disappointed by the fact that I cannot permanently sort video folders according to alphabet. It resets to last modified every time the app is closed.

Good app. But why you charging for paid app 😔. Some lag while playing any format. Blank screen in video starting after long time it shows the contain. Still it as bugs can you fix in next update 😃.

greate media player i ever user i wish from programmer if they make in next upgrade add resum fuction when close the movie it start from the begining next time you play it and there is some issue with the app if you minimize while playing movie and return after minizie the movie play very slow

too many "oops cannot play this media" error messages on music and video files that are in standard format which should not be an issue with any type of media app.

This app would be better than the older IF, when playing a video, the controls would go away til we need them. IT STAYS ON THE SCREEN BLOCKING THE VIEWING OF THE VIDEO. I go back to your old app that's not updated. ...................... Well now both apps do the same. Uninstalling

Adding Google drive returning error 4044... Can you add Google photos? That would be perfect! There are tons of backed up videos in my Google photos. Reversed sort by Date would be nice too Thanks

I have a few suggestions. -The buttons on top of seek bar during playing video are too small and too close to seeking bar - please add option to play video always in landscape regardless of screen orientation

Works good. Picks up my Hdhomerun tv tuner and plays everything. However, I now receive ATSC 3.0 stations as does this player but will not play the audio on ATSC 3.0 stations. Any chance of updating the audio codec to play AC-4 audio?
